< Nnwom 107 >

1 Monna Awurade ase na oye; na nʼadɔe wɔ hɔ daa.
O give thanks unto the LORD, for [he is] good: for his mercy [endureth] for ever.
2 Momma wɔn a Awurade agye wɔn nka saa, wɔn a wagye wɔn afi ɔtamfo nsam no;
Let the redeemed of the LORD say [so], whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
3 wɔn a ɔboaboaa wɔn ano fii nsase so no, efi apuei kosi atɔe, atifi kosi anafo.
And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.
4 Ebinom kyinkyinii wɔ nsase pradada so, a wɔanhu ɔkwan ankɔ kuropɔn no mu, faako a wobetumi anya atenae.
They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.
5 Ɔkɔm ne osukɔm dee wɔn na wɔtotɔɔ beraw.
Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
6 Afei wosu frɛɛ Awurade wɔ wɔn amanehunu mu, na ogyee wɔn fii wɔn ahohiahia mu.
Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, [and] he delivered them out of their distresses.
7 Ɔde wɔn faa ɔkwan tee so baa kuropɔn a wotumi tena mu no mu.
And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
8 Momma wɔnna Awurade ase, nʼadɔe a ɛnsa da ne nʼanwonwade a ɔyɛ ma nnipa no ho,
Oh that [men] would praise the LORD [for] his goodness, and [for] his wonderful works to the children of men!
9 ɔma wɔn a osukɔm de wɔn nsu na ɔde nnepa hyɛ wɔn a ɔkɔm de wɔn ma.
For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.
10 Ebinom tenaa sum ne awerɛhow mu, nneduafo a wɔde dade nkɔnsɔnkɔnsɔn agu wɔn,
Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, [being] bound in affliction and iron;
11 efisɛ wɔatew Onyankopɔn nsɛm ho atua na wɔabu Ɔsorosoroni no agyinatu animtiaa.
Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:
12 Enti ogyaa wɔn maa adwumaden; wohintihintiwii, na wɔannya ɔboafo.
Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and [there was] none to help.
13 Afei wosu frɛɛ Awurade wɔ wɔn amanehunu mu, na ogyee wɔn fii wɔn ahohia mu.
Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, [and] he saved them out of their distresses.
14 Oyii wɔn fii sum ne awerɛhow mu, na obubuu wɔn nkɔnsɔnkɔnsɔn mu.
He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.
15 Momma wɔnna Awurade ase, nʼadɔe a ɛnsa da ne nʼanwonwade a ɔyɛ ma nnipa no ho,
Oh that [men] would praise the LORD [for] his goodness, and [for] his wonderful works to the children of men!
16 efisɛ obubu kɔbere mfrafra apon na otwitwa nnadeban mu.
For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.
17 Ebinom bɛyɛɛ nkwaseafo, wɔn atuatew nti, na wohuu amane, wɔn nnebɔne nti.
Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
18 Wokyii aduan nyinaa na wotwiw bɛnee owu pon ano.
Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.
19 Afei wosu frɛɛ Awurade, wɔn amanehunu mu na ogyee wɔn fii wɔn ahohia mu.
Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, [and] he saveth them out of their distresses.
20 Ɔsomaa nʼasɛm na ɔsaa wɔn yare; na ogyee wɔn fii ɔda mu.
He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered [them] from their destructions.
21 Momma wɔnna Awurade ase, nʼadɔe a ɛnsa da ne nʼanwonwade a ɔyɛ ma nnipa no ho.
Oh that [men] would praise the LORD [for] his goodness, and [for] his wonderful works to the children of men!
22 Momma wɔmmɔ aseda afɔre na wɔmfa ahurusi nnwom nka ne nnwuma ho asɛm.
And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.
23 Ebinom tenaa ahyɛn mu wɔ po so; wɔyɛ aguadifo wɔ nsu akɛse so.
They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;
24 Wohuu Awurade nnwuma, nʼanwonwade a ɛwɔ bun mu.
These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.
25 Ɔkasa maa ahum tui na ekukuru asorɔkye.
For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.
26 Wokukuru kɔɔ ɔsorosoro na wosian kɔɔ bun mu tɔnn; wɔn amanehunu mu no wɔn koma tui.
They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.
27 Wokyim totɔɔ ntintan sɛ asabowfo; na wonhu nea wɔnnyɛ bio.
They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end.
28 Afei wosu frɛɛ Awurade, wɔn amanehunu mu, na ogyee wɔn fii wɔn ahohia mu.
Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
29 Ɔmaa ahum no yɛɛ dinn; po so asorɔkye ano brɛɛ ase.
He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
30 Wɔn ani gyei, bere a ɛyɛɛ dinn no, na ɔkyerɛɛ wɔn ɔkwan de wɔn koduu gyinabea a wɔpɛ.
Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.
31 Momma wɔnna Awurade ase, nʼadɔe a ɛnsa da ne nʼanwonwade a ɔyɛ ma nnipa no ho.
Oh that [men] would praise the LORD [for] his goodness, and [for] his wonderful works to the children of men!
32 Wɔmma no so wɔ asafo no mu na wɔnkamfo no wɔ mpanyimfo nhyiamu ase.
Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.
33 Ɔdan nsubɔnten maa no yɛɛ sare, asuten yɛɛ asase wosee,
He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground;
34 na asasebere dan nkyenenkyene, wɔn a wɔte asase no so amumɔyɛ nti.
A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
35 Ɔdan sare so maa no yɛɛ nsuwansuwa na nkyɛkyerɛ yɛɛ sɛ nsuten anan mu;
He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings.
36 Ɛhɔ na ɔde wɔn a ɔkɔm de wɔn kɔsoɛe, na wɔkyekyeree kuropɔn tenaa mu.
And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;
37 Wɔyɛɛ mfuw ne bobe nturo na ɛmaa wɔn nnɔbae bebree.
And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.
38 Ohyiraa wɔn na wɔn ase dɔe. Wamma wɔn nyɛmmoa dodow so anhuan.
He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
39 Afei wɔn dodow so huanee na nhyɛso, amanehunu ne awerɛhow brɛɛ wɔn ase;
Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.
40 nea obu abirɛmpɔn animtiaa no ma wokyinkyin asase kesee a ɔkwan nni hɔ so.
He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, [where there is] no way.
41 Nanso ɔmaa ahiafo so fii wɔn ahohia mu na ɔmaa wɔn mmusua dɔɔ sɛ nguankuw.
Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh [him] families like a flock.
42 Atreneefo hu ma wɔn ani gye, nanso amumɔyɛfo nyinaa mua wɔn ano.
The righteous shall see [it], and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
43 Momma nea ɔyɛ onyansafo no mmu eyinom, na onsusuw Awurade adɔe kɛse no ho.
Whoso [is] wise, and will observe these [things], even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.
