1 Yahuda oğulları: Peres, Hesron, Karmi, Hur, Şoval.
The sonnes of Iudah were Pharez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.
2 Şoval oğlu Reaya Yahat'ın babasıydı. Yahat Ahumay'ın ve Lahat'ın babasıydı. Soralı boylar bunlardı.
And Reaiah the sonne of Shobal begat Iahath, and Iahath begate Ahumai, and Lahad: these are the families of the Zoreathites.
3 Etam'ın oğulları: Yizreel, Yişma, Yidbaş. Kızkardeşlerinin adı Haselelponi'dir.
And these were of the father of Etam, Izreel, and Ishma and Idbash: and the name of their sister was Hazelelponi.
4 Penuel Gedor'un babasıydı. Ezer Huşa'nın babasıydı. Bunlar Beytlehem'in kurucusu ve Efrat'ın ilk oğlu Hur'un torunlarıydı.
And Penuel was the father of Gedor, and Ezer the father of Hushah: these are the sonnes of Hur the eldest sonne of Ephratah, the father of Beth-lehem.
5 Tekoa'nın kurucusu Aşhur'un Helah ve Naara adında iki karısı vardı.
But Asher the father of Tekoa had two wiues, Heleah, and Naarah.
6 Naara ona Ahuzzam, Hefer, Temeni ve Haahaştari'yi doğurdu. Bunlar Naara'nın oğullarıydı.
And Naarah bare him Ahuzam, and Hepher, and Temeni and Haashtari: these were the sonnes of Naarah.
7 Helah'ın oğulları: Seret, Yishar, Etnan
And the sonnes of Heleah were Zereth, Iezohar and Ethnan.
8 ve Anuv'la Hassoveva'nın babası Kos. Kos Harum oğlu Aharhel boylarının atasıydı.
Also Coz begate Anub, and Zobebah, and the families of Aharhel the sonne of Harum.
9 Yabes kardeşlerinden daha saygın biriydi. Annesi, “Onu acı çekerek doğurdum” diyerek adını Yabes koymuştu.
But Iabez was more honourable then his brethren: and his mother called his name Iabez, saying, Because I bare him in sorowe.
10 Yabes, İsrail'in Tanrısı'na, “Ne olur, beni kutsa, sınırlarımı genişlet!” diye yakardı, “Elin üzerimde olsun, beni kötülükten koru. Öyle ki, acı çekmeyeyim.” Tanrı onun yakarışını duydu.
And Iabez called on the God of Israel, saying, If thou wilt blesse me in deede, and enlarge my coastes, and if thine hand be with me, and thou wilt cause me to be deliuered from euill, that I be not hurt. And God graunted the thing that he asked.
11 Şuha'nın kardeşi Keluv, Eşton'un babası Mehir'in babasıydı.
And Chelub the brother of Shuah begate Mehir, which was the father of Eshton.
12 Eşton Beytrafa'nın, Paseah'ın ve İr-Nahaş'ın kurucusu Tehinna'nın babasıydı. Bunlar Rekalılar'dır.
And Eshton begate Beth-rapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah the father of the citie of Nahash: these are the men of Rechah.
13 Kenaz'ın oğulları: Otniel, Seraya. Otniel'in oğulları: Hatat ve Meonotay. Meonotay Ofra'nın babasıydı. Seraya Ge-Haraşim'in kurucusu Yoav'ın babasıydı. Bunlar el işlerinde becerikli kişilerdi.
And the sonnes of Kenaz were Othniel and Zeraiah, and the sonne of Othniel, Hathath.
And Meonothai begate Ophrah. And Seraiah begate Ioab the father of the valley of craftesmen: for they were craftesmen.
15 Yefunne oğlu Kalev'in oğulları: İru, Ela, Naam. Ela'nın oğlu: Kenaz.
And the sonnes of Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh were Iru, Elah, and Naam. And the sonne of Elah was Kenaz.
16 Yehallelel'in oğulları: Zif, Zifa, Tirya, Asarel.
And the sonnes of Iehaleel were Ziph, and Ziphah, Tiria, and Asareel.
17 Ezra'nın oğulları: Yeter, Meret, Efer, Yalon. Meret'in karılarından biri Miryam'ı, Şamma'yı ve Eştemoa'nın kurucusu Yişbah'ı doğurdu.
And the sonnes of Ezrah were Iether and Mered, and Epher, and Ialon, and he begate Miriam, and Shammai, and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa.
18 Bunlar Meret'in evlendiği firavunun kızı Bitya'nın doğurduğu çocuklardır. Meret'in Yahudalı karısı, Gedor'un kurucusu Yeret'i, Soko'nun kurucusu Hever'i, Zanoah'ın kurucusu Yekutiel'i doğurdu.
Also his wife Iehudiiah bare Iered the father of Gedor, and Heber the father of Socho, and Iekuthiel the father of Zanoah: and these are the sonnes of Bithiah ye daughter of Pharaoh which Mered tooke.
19 Hodiya Naham'ın kızkardeşiyle evlendi. Ondan doğan oğulları Keila'da yaşayan Garm ve Eştemoa'da yaşayan Maaka boylarının atasıydı.
And the sonnes of the wife of Hodiah, the sister of Naham the father of Keilah were the Garmites, and Eshtemoa the Maachathite.
20 Şimon'un oğulları: Amnon, Rinna, Ben-Hanan, Tilon. Yişi'nin torunları: Zohet ve Ben-Zohet.
And the sonnes of Shimon were Amnon and Rinnah, Ben-hanam and Tilon. And the sonnes of Ishi were Zoheth, and Benzoheth.
21 Yahuda oğlu Sela'nın oğulları: Leka'nın kurucusu Er, Mareşa'nın kurucusu Lada, Beytaşbea'da ince keten işinde çalışanların boyları,
The sonnes of Shelah, the sonne of Iudah were Er the father of Lecah, and Laadah the father of Mareshah, and the families of the householdes of them that wrought fine linnen in the house of Ashbea.
22 Yokim, Kozevalılar, Moavlı kadınlarla evlenen Yoaş'la Saraf ve Yaşuvi-Lehem. Bu kayıtlar eskidir.
And Iokim and the men of Chozeba and Ioash, and Saraph, which had the dominion in Moab, and Iashubi Lehem. These also are auncient things.

These were potters, and dwelt among plants and hedges: there they dwelt with the king for his worke.
24 Şimonoğulları: Nemuel, Yamin, Yariv, Zerah, Şaul.
The sonnes of Simeon were Nemuel, and Iamin, Iarib, Zerah, and Shaul,
25 Şallum Şaul'un oğluydu. Mivsam Şallum'un, Mişma da Mivsam'ın oğluydu.
Whose sonne was Shallum, and his sonne, Mibsam, and his sonne Mishma.
26 Mişma'nın torunları: Hammuel Mişma'nın oğluydu. Zakkur Hammuel'in, Şimi de Zakkur'un oğluydu.
And the sonnes of Mishma, Hamuel was his sonne, Zacchur his sonne, and Shimei his sonne.
27 Şimi'nin on altı oğlu, altı kızı vardı. Ancak kardeşlerinin çok sayıda çocukları yoktu. Bu yüzden Şimon oymağı, sayıca Yahuda oymağı kadar artmadı.
And Shimei had sixteene sonnes, and sixe daughters, but his brethren had not many children, neither was all their familie like to the children of Iudah in multitude.
28 Şimonoğulları Beer-Şeva, Molada, Hasar-Şual, Bilha, Esem, Tolat, Betuel, Horma, Ziklak, Beytmarkavot, Hasar-Susim, Beytbiri ve Şaarayim kentlerinde yaşadılar. Davut dönemine dek kentleri bunlardı.
And they dwelt at Beer-sheba, and at Moladah, and at Hazar Shual,
And at Bilhah, and at Ezem, and at Tolad,
And at Bethuel, and at Hormah, and at Ziklag,
And at Beth-marcaboth, and at Hazar Susim, at Beth-birei, and at Shaaraim, these were their cities vnto the reigne of Dauid.
32 Ayrıca şu beş ilçede de yaşadılar: Etam, Ayin, Rimmon, Token, Aşan.
And their townes were Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, fiue cities.
33 Baalat'a kadar uzanan bu kentlerin çevresindeki bütün köyler Şimonoğulları'na aitti. Ailelerinin soy kütüğünü de tuttular.
And all their townes that were rounde about these cities vnto Baal, These are their habitations and the declaration of their genealogie,
34 Meşovav, Yamlek, Amatsya oğlu Yoşa,
And Meshobab, and Iamlech, and Ioshah the sonne of Amashiah,
35 Yoel, Asiel oğlu Seraya oğlu Yoşivya oğlu Yehu,
And Ioel and Iehu the sonne of Ioshibiah, the sonne of Seraiah, the sonne of Asiel,
36 Elyoenay, Yaakova, Yeşohaya, Asaya, Adiel, Yesimiel, Benaya
And Elionai, and Iaakobah, and Ieshohaiah, and Asaiah, and Adiel, and Iesimiel, and Benaiah,
37 ve Şemaya oğlu Şimri oğlu Yedaya oğlu Allon oğlu Şifi oğlu Ziza.
And Ziza the sonne of Shiphei, the sonne of Allon, the sonne of Iedaiah, the sonne of Shimri, the sonne of Shemaiah.
38 Yukarıda adı geçenlerin her biri, ait olduğu boyun başıydı. Aileleri sayıca çoğaldılar.
These were famous princes in their families, and increased greatly their fathers houses.
39 Sürülerine otlak aramak için Gedor yakınlarına, vadinin doğusuna kadar gittiler.
And they went to the entring in of Gedor, euen vnto the East side of the valley, to seeke pasture for their sheepe.
40 Orada çok zengin otlaklar buldular. Ülke geniş, rahat ve huzur doluydu. Eskiden orada Ham'ın soyundan gelenler yaşardı.
And they found fat pasture and good, and a wide land, both quiet and fruitfull: for they of Ham had dwelt there before.
41 Yukarıda adı yazılı olanlar, Yahuda Kralı Hizkiya döneminde geldiler. Hamlılar'ın çadırlarına ve orada yaşayan Meunlular'a saldırıp tümünü öldürdüler. Sonra ülkelerine yerleştiler. Bugün de oradalar. Çünkü orada sürüleri için otlak vardı.
And these described by name, came in the dayes of Hezekiah king of Iudah, and smote their tents, and the inhabitants that were found there, and destroyed them vtterly vnto this day, and dwelt in their roume, because there was pasture there for their sheepe.
42 Yişi'nin oğulları Pelatya, Nearya, Refaya, Uzziel önderliğinde Şimon oymağından beş yüz kişi Seir dağlık bölgesine gidip
And besides these, fiue hundreth men of the sonnes of Simeon went to mount Seir, and Pelatiah, and Neariah, and Rophaiah, and Vzziel the sonnes of Ishi were their captaines,
43 Amalekliler'den sağ kalanları öldürdüler. Bugün de orada yaşıyorlar.
And they smote the rest of Amalek that had escaped, and they dwelt there vnto this day.
