< Saame 1 >
1 ʻOku monūʻia ʻae tangata ʻoku ʻikai ʻeveʻeva ʻi he fakakaukau ʻae angakovi, pe tuʻu ʻi he hala ʻoe kau angahala, pe nofo ʻi he nofoʻa ʻoe manuki.
Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand on the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers;
2 Ka ko ʻene fiefia ʻoku ʻi he fono ʻa Sihova; pea ko ʻene fono ʻoku ne fakalaulauloto ai ʻi he ʻaho mo e pō.
but his delight is in the LORD’s law. On his law he meditates day and night.
3 Pea ʻe tatau ia mo e ʻakau kuo tō ki he veʻe vaitafe, ʻaia ʻoku ʻomi hono fua ʻi hono faʻahitaʻu; pea ko hono lau foki ʻe ʻikai mae; pea ko ia kotoa pē ʻoku ne fai ʻe monūʻia.
He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that produces its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper.
4 ʻOku ʻikai pehē ʻae angakovi: ka ʻoku tatau ia mo e kafukafu ʻaia ʻoku vilingia, ʻi he matangi.
The wicked are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
5 Ko ia ʻe ʻikai tuʻu ʻae angakovi ʻi he fakamaau, pe ko e angahala ʻi he fakataha ʻoe māʻoniʻoni.
Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 He ʻoku ʻilo ʻe Sihova ʻae hala ʻoe māʻoniʻoni: ka ko e hala ʻoe angakovi ʻe ʻauha ia.
For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish.
