லூக்கா 17
1 ௧ பின்பு இயேசு தம்முடைய சீடர்களை நோக்கி: இடறல்கள் வராமல் இருக்கமுடியாது, ஆனாலும் அவைகள் எவனால் வருகிறதோ, அவனுக்கு ஐயோ!
Jesus said to his disciples: “It is inevitable that there should be snares; yet alas for him who is answerable for them!
2 ௨ அவன் இந்தச் சிறுவரில் ஒருவனுக்கு இடறல் உண்டாக்குகிறதைவிட, அவனுடைய கழுத்தில் எந்திரக்கல் கட்டப்பட்டு, அவன் கடலில் தள்ளுண்டுபோவது அவனுக்கு நலமாக இருக்கும்.
It would be good for him if he had been flung into the sea with a mill-stone round his neck, rather than that he should prove a snare to even one of these lowly ones.
3 ௩ உங்களைக்குறித்து எச்சரிக்கையாக இருங்கள். உன் சகோதரன் உனக்கு விரோதமாகக் குற்றம் செய்தால், அவனைக் கடிந்துகொள்; அவன் மனம் வருந்தினால், அவனுக்கு மன்னிப்பாயாக.
Be on your guard! If your brother does wrong, reprove him; but if he repents, forgive him.
4 ௪ அவன் ஒருநாளில் ஏழுதரம் உனக்கு விரோதமாகக் குற்றம் செய்து, ஏழுதரமும் உன்னிடத்தில் வந்து: நான் மனம் வருந்துகிறேன் என்று சொன்னால், அவனுக்கு மன்னிப்பாயாக என்றார்.
Even if he wrongs you seven times a day, but turns to you every time and says ‘I am sorry,’ you must forgive him.”
5 ௫ அப்பொழுது அப்போஸ்தலர்கள் கர்த்த்தரை நோக்கி: எங்களுடைய விசுவாசத்தை பெருகப்பண்ணவேண்டும் என்றார்கள்.
“Give us more faith,” said the Apostles to the Master;
6 ௬ அதற்குக் கர்த்தர்: கடுகுவிதையளவு விசுவாசம் உங்களுக்கு உண்டாயிருந்தால், நீங்கள் இந்தக் காட்டத்திமரத்தை நோக்கி: நீ வேரோடு பிடுங்குண்டு கடலிலே நடப்படுவாயாக என்று சொல்ல, அது உங்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியும்.
but the Master said: “If your faith were only like a mustard-seed, you could say to this mulberry tree ‘Be up-rooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
7 ௭ உங்களில் ஒருவனுடைய வேலைக்காரன் உழுது அல்லது மந்தையை மேய்த்து வயலிலிருந்து வரும்போது, எஜமான் அவனை நோக்கி: நீ முன்புபோய்ச் சாப்பிட்டுவா என்று அவனுக்குச் சொல்வானோ?
Which of you, if he had a servant ploughing, or tending the sheep, would say to him, when he came in from the fields, ‘Come at once and take your place at table,’
8 ௮ நீ எனக்குச் சாப்பாடு ஆயத்தம்பண்ணி, பரிமாறும் உடை அணிந்துக்கொண்டு, ஆகாரம் உட்கொள்ளும்வரை எனக்கு வேலைச்செய், அதற்குப்பின் நீ புசித்துக் குடிக்கலாம் என்று அவனுக்குச் சொல்லுவானல்லவா?
Instead of saying ‘Prepare my dinner, and then make yourself ready and wait on me while I am eating and drinking, and after that you shall eat and drink yourself’?
9 ௯ தான் கட்டளையிட்டவைகளை அந்த வேலைக்காரன் செய்ததற்காக அவனுக்கு நன்றி சொல்லுவானோ? அப்படிச் செய்யமாட்டானே.
Does he feel grateful to his servant for doing what he is told?
10 ௧0 அப்படியே நீங்களும் உங்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிடப்பட்ட யாவற்றையும் செய்தபின்பு: நாங்கள் பயனற்ற வேலைக்காரர்கள், செய்யவேண்டிய கடமையைமட்டும் செய்தோம் என்று சொல்லுங்கள் என்றார்.
And so with you — when you have done all that you have been told, still say ‘We are but useless servants; we have done no more than we ought to have done.’”
11 ௧௧ பின்பு அவர் எருசலேமுக்குப் பயணமாகபோகும்போது, அவர் சமாரியா கலிலேயா என்னும் நாடுகளின்வழியாக நடந்துபோனார்.
On the way to Jerusalem Jesus passed between Samaria and Galilee.
12 ௧௨ அவர் ஒரு கிராமத்திற்குள் நுழைந்தபோது, குஷ்டரோகமுள்ள மனிதர்கள் பத்துபேர் அவருக்கு எதிராக வந்து, தூரத்திலே நின்று:
As he was entering a village, ten lepers met him.
Standing still, some distance off, they called out loudly: “Jesus! Sir! pity us!”
14 ௧௪ அவர்களை அவர் பார்த்து: நீங்கள் போய், ஆசாரியர்களுக்கு உங்களைக் காண்பியுங்கள் என்றார். அந்தப்படி அவர்கள் போகும்போது சுகமானார்கள்.
When Jesus saw them, he said: “Go and show yourselves to the priest.” And, as they were on their way, they were made clean.
15 ௧௫ அவர்களில் ஒருவன் தான் ஆரோக்கியமானதைக் கண்டு, திரும்பிவந்து, உரத்த சத்தமாக தேவனை மகிமைப்படுத்தி,
One of them, finding he was cured, came back, praising God loudly,
16 ௧௬ அவருடைய பாதத்தருகே முகங்குப்புறவிழுந்து, அவருக்கு நன்றி செலுத்தினான்; அவன் சமாரியனாக இருந்தான்.
and threw himself on his face at Jesus’ feet, thanking him for what he had done; and this man was a Samaritan.
“Were not all the ten made clean? exclaimed Jesus. But the nine — where are they?
18 ௧௮ தேவனை மகிமைப்படுத்துகிறதற்கு, இந்த அந்நியனைத்தவிர மற்றொருவனும் திரும்பிவரக்காணோமே என்று சொல்லி,
Were there none to come back and praise God except this foreigner?
Get up,” he said to him, “and go on your way. Your faith has delivered you.”
20 ௨0 தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் எப்பொழுது வருமென்று, பரிசேயர்கள் அவரிடத்தில் கேட்டபொழுது, அவர்களுக்கு அவர் மறுமொழியாக: தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் கண்களுக்குத் தெரியும்படியாக வராது.
Being once asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God was to come, Jesus answered: “The Kingdom of God does not come in a way that admits of observation,
21 ௨௧ இதோ, இங்கே என்றும், அதோ, அங்கே என்றும் சொல்லப்படுகிறதற்கும் ஏதுவாக இருக்காது; இதோ, தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் உங்களுக்குள் இருக்கிறதே என்றார்.
nor will people say ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There it is!’; for the Kingdom of God is within you!
22 ௨௨ பின்பு அவர் சீடர்களை நோக்கி: மனிதகுமாரனுடைய நாட்களிலொன்றைக் காணவேண்டுமென்று நீங்கள் ஆசைப்படுங்காலம் வரும்; ஆனாலும் அதைக் காணமாட்டீர்கள்.
The day will come,” he said to his disciples, “when you will long to see but one of the days of the Son of Man, and will not see it.
23 ௨௩ இதோ, இங்கே என்றும், அதோ, அங்கே என்றும், சிலர் உங்களிடம் சொல்லுவார்கள்; நீங்களோ போகாமலும் பின்தொடராமலும் இருங்கள்.
People will say to you ‘There he is! or ‘Here he is!’ Do not go and follow them.
24 ௨௪ மின்னல் வானத்தின் ஒரு திசையில் தோன்றி மறுதிசைவரைக்கும் பிரகாசிக்கிறதுபோல மனிதகுமாரனும் தம்முடைய நாளிலே தோன்றுவார்.
For, just as lightning will lighten and flare from one side of the heavens to the other, so will it be with the Son of Man.
25 ௨௫ அதற்கு முன்பு அவர் அநேகம் பாடுகள்பட்டு, இந்தச் சந்ததியினால் ஆகாதவனென்று தள்ளப்படவேண்டியதாக இருக்கிறது.
But first he must undergo much suffering, and he must be rejected by the present generation.
As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be again in the days of the Son of Man.
27 ௨௭ நோவா பேழைக்குள் பிரவேசித்த நாள்வரை மக்கள் புசித்துக் குடித்தார்கள், பெண் எடுத்தும் பெண் கொடுத்தும் இருந்தார்கள்; பெருவெள்ளம் வந்து எல்லோரையும் அழித்துப்போட்டது.
They were eating and drinking and marrying and being married, up to the very day on which Noah entered the ark, and then the flood came and destroyed them all.
28 ௨௮ லோத்தினுடைய நாட்களில் நடந்ததுபோலவும் நடக்கும்; மக்கள் புசித்தார்கள், குடித்தார்கள், கொண்டார்கள், விற்றார்கள், நட்டார்கள், கட்டினார்கள்.
So, too, in the days of Lot. People were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building;
29 ௨௯ லோத்து சோதோமைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்ட நாளிலே வானத்திலிருந்து அக்கினியும் கந்தகமும் பெய்து, எல்லோரையும் அழித்துப்போட்டது.
but, on the very day on which Lot came out of Sodom, it rained fire and sulphur from the skies and destroyed them all.
It will be the same on the day on which the Son of Man reveals himself.
31 ௩௧ அந்த நாளிலே வீட்டின்மேலிருப்பவன் வீட்டிலுள்ள தன் பொருட்களை எடுத்துக்கொண்டுபோக இறங்காமல் இருக்கவேண்டும்; அப்படியே வயலிலிருக்கிறவன் பின்னிட்டுத் திரும்பாமலும் இருக்கவேண்டும்.
On that day, if a man is on his house-top and his goods in the house, he must not go down to get them; nor again must one who is on the farm turn back.
Remember Lot’s wife.
33 ௩௩ தன் ஜீவனை இரட்சிக்க வகைதேடுகிறவன் அதை இழந்துபோவான்; இழந்துபோகிறவன் அதை உயிர்ப்பித்துக்கொள்ளுவான்.
Whoever is eager to get the most out of his life will lose it; but whoever will lose it shall preserve it.
34 ௩௪ அந்த இரவில் ஒரே படுக்கையில் படுத்திருக்கிற இரண்டுபேரில் ஒருவன் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்படுவான், மற்றவன் கைவிடப்படுவான்.
On that night, I tell you, of two men upon the same bed, one will be taken and the other left;
of two women grinding together, one will be taken and the other left.”
36 ௩௬ வயலிலிருக்கிற இரண்டுபேரில் ஒருவன் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்படுவான், மற்றவன் கைவிடப்படுவான் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றார்.
37 ௩௭ அவர்கள் அவருக்கு மறுமொழியாக: எங்கே, ஆண்டவரே, என்றார்கள். அதற்கு அவர்: பிணம் எங்கேயோ அங்கே கழுகுகள் வந்து கூடும் என்றார்.
“Where will it be, Master?” interposed the disciples. “Where there is a body,” said Jesus, “‘there will the vultures flock.’”
