எரேமியா 41
1 ௧ பின்பு ஏழாம் மாதத்தில் ராஜவம்சத்தில் பிறந்தவனும், எலிஷாமாவின் மகனாகிய நெத்தானியாவின் மகனுமான இஸ்மவேலும், அவனுடன் ராஜாவின் பிரபுக்களான பத்துப்பேரும் மிஸ்பாவுக்கு அகீக்காமின் மகனாகிய கெதலியாவினிடத்தில் வந்து, அங்கே ஒன்றாக உணவு சாப்பிட்டார்கள்.
Now it happened in the seventh month, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the royal family and one of the chief officers of the king, and ten men with him, came to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah; and there they ate bread together in Mizpah.
2 ௨ அப்பொழுது நெத்தானியாவின் மகனாகிய இஸ்மவேலும், அவனோடிருந்த பத்துப்பேரும் எழும்பி, பாபிலோன் ராஜா தேசத்தின்மேல் அதிகாரியாக வைத்த சாப்பானின் மகனாகிய அகீக்காமின் மகனான கெதலியாவைப் பட்டயத்தால் வெட்டினார்கள்.
Then arose Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and the ten men who were with him, and struck Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan with the sword, and killed him, whom the king of Babylon had made governor over the land.
3 ௩ மிஸ்பாவிலே கெதலியாவினிடத்தில் இருந்த எல்லா யூதரையும், அங்கே காணப்பட்ட போர்வீரர்களாகிய கல்தேயரையும் இஸ்மவேல் வெட்டிப்போட்டான்.
Ishmael also killed all the Jews who were with him, with Gedaliah, at Mizpah, and the Chaldeans who were found there, the men of war.
It happened the second day after he had killed Gedaliah, and no man knew it,
5 ௫ தாடியைச் சிரைத்து, உடைகளைக் கிழித்து, தங்களைக் கீறிக்கொண்டிருந்த எண்பதுபேர் சீகேமிலும் சீலோவிலும் சமாரியாவிலுமிருந்து, தங்கள் கைகளில் காணிக்கைகளையும் நறுமணப்பொருட்களையும், யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்திற்குக் கொண்டுபோகும்படி வந்தார்கள்.
that there came men from Shechem, from Shiloh, and from Samaria, even eighty men, having their beards shaved and their clothes torn, and having cut themselves, with meal offerings and frankincense in their hand, to bring them to the house of the LORD.
6 ௬ அப்பொழுது நெத்தானியாவின் மகனாகிய இஸ்மவேல் மிஸ்பாவிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு, அவர்களுக்கு எதிராக அழுதுகொண்டே நடந்துவந்து, அவர்களைச் சந்தித்தபோது, அவர்களை நோக்கி: அகீக்காமின் மகனாகிய கெதலியாவினிடத்தில் வாருங்கள் என்றான்.
Ishmael the son of Nethaniah went forth from Mizpah to meet them, weeping all along as he went: and it happened, as he met them, he said to them, "Come to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam."
7 ௭ அவர்கள் நகரத்தின் மத்தியில் வந்தபோது, நெத்தானியாவின் மகனாகிய இஸ்மவேலும், அவனுடன் இருந்த மனிதரும் அவர்களை வெட்டி ஒரு பள்ளத்தில் தள்ளிப்போட்டார்கள்.
It was so, when they came into the midst of the city, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah killed them, and cast them into the midst of the pit, he, and the men who were with him.
8 ௮ ஆனாலும் அவர்களில் பத்துப்பேர் மீந்திருந்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் இஸ்மவேலைப்பார்த்து: எங்களைக் கொலைசெய்யவேண்டாம்; கோதுமையும், வாற்கோதுமையும், எண்ணெயும், தேனுமுள்ள புதையல்கள் எங்களுக்கு நிலத்தின்கீழ் இருக்கிறது என்றார்கள்; அப்பொழுது அவர்களை அவர்கள் சகோதரர்களைக் கொலைசெய்யாமல் விட்டுவைத்தான்.
But ten men were found among those who said to Ishmael, "Do not kill us; for we have stores hidden in the field, of wheat, and of barley, and of oil, and of honey. So he stopped, and did not kill them among their brothers.
9 ௯ இஸ்மவேல் கெதலியாவிற்காக வெட்டின மனிதருடைய பிரேதங்களையெல்லாம் எறிந்துபோட்ட பள்ளமோவெனில், ஆசா என்னும் ராஜா இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய பாஷாவுக்காக உண்டாக்கின பள்ளந்தானே; அதை நெத்தானியாவின் மகனாகிய இஸ்மவேல் வெட்டப்பட்டப் பிரேதங்களால் நிரப்பினான்.
Now the pit in which Ishmael cast all the dead bodies of the men whom he had killed was a large one that King Asa had constructed in the encounter with Baasha king of Israel. Ishmael the son of Nethaniah filled it with those who were killed.
10 ௧0 பின்பு இஸ்மவேல் மிஸ்பாவில் இருக்கிற மீதியான மக்கள் அனைவரையும் சிறைப்படுத்திக்கொண்டு போனான்; ராஜாவின் மகள்களையும் காவற்சேனாதிபதியாகிய நேபுசராதான் அகீக்காமின் மகனாகிய கெதலியாவின் விசாரிப்புக்கு ஒப்புவித்துப்போன மிஸ்பாவிலுள்ள மீதியான எல்லா மக்களையும் நெத்தானியாவின் மகனாகிய இஸ்மவேல் சிறைப்படுத்திக்கொண்டு அம்மோன் மக்களிடத்தில் போகப் புறப்பட்டான்.
Then Ishmael carried away captive all the residue of the people who were in Mizpah, even the king's daughters, and all the people who remained in Mizpah, whom Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had committed to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam; Ishmael the son of Nethaniah carried them away captive, and departed to go over to the people of Ammon.
11 ௧௧ நெத்தானியாவின் மகனாகிய இஸ்மவேல் செய்த பொல்லாப்பையெல்லாம் கரேயாவின் மகனாகிய யோகனானும், அவனுடன் இருந்த எல்லாப் போர்வீரர்களும் கேட்டபோது,
But when Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces who were with him, heard of all the evil that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had done,
12 ௧௨ அவர்கள் ஆண்களையெல்லாம் அழைத்துக்கொண்டு, நெத்தானியாவின் மகனாகிய இஸ்மவேலோடு போர்செய்யப்போய், அவனைக் கிபியோனிலிருக்கும் பெருங்குளத்துத் தண்ணீர் அருகில் கண்டார்கள்.
then they took all the men, and went to fight with Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and found him by the great waters that are in Gibeon.
13 ௧௩ அப்பொழுது இஸ்மவேலுடனிருந்த எல்லா மக்களும் கரேயாவின் மகனாகிய யோகனானையும், அவனோடிருந்த எல்லா போர்வீரர்களையும் கண்டு சந்தோஷப்பட்டு,
Now it happened that, when all the people who were with Ishmael saw Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces who were with him, then they were glad.
14 ௧௪ இஸ்மவேல் மிஸ்பாவிலிருந்து சிறைப்பிடித்துக்கொண்டுபோன மக்களெல்லாம் பின்வாங்கித் திரும்பி, கரேயாவின் மகனாகிய யோகனானிடத்தில் வந்துவிட்டார்கள்.
So all the people who Ishmael had carried away captive from Mizpah turned about and came back, and went to Johanan the son of Kareah.
15 ௧௫ நெத்தானியாவின் மகனாகிய இஸ்மவேலோ, எட்டுப்பேருடன் யோகனானின் கைக்குத் தப்பி, அம்மோன் மக்களிடத்தில் போனான்.
But Ishmael the son of Nethaniah escaped from Johanan with eight men, and went to the people of Ammon.
16 ௧௬ கரேயாவின் மகனாகிய யோகனானும், அவனுடன் இருந்த எல்லா போர்வீரர்களும், அகீக்காமின் மகனாகிய கெதலியாவை வெட்டிப்போட்ட நெத்தானியாவின் மகனாகிய இஸ்மவேல் கொண்டுபோனதும், தாங்கள் கிபியோனிலே விடுதலையாக்கித் திரும்பச்செய்ததுமான மீதியான எல்லா மக்களாகிய போர்வீரர்களையும், பெண்களையும், குழந்தைகளையும், அரண்மனை அதிகாரிகளையும் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டு,
Then took Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces who were with him, all the remnant of the people whom he had recovered from Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, from Mizpah, after that he had killed Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the men of war, and the women, and the children, and the eunuchs, whom he had brought back from Gibeon:
17 ௧௭ பாபிலோன் ராஜா தேசத்தின்மேல் அதிகாரியாக்கின கிம்காமின் மகனாகிய கெதலியாவை நெத்தானியாவின் மகனாகிய இஸ்மவேல் வெட்டிப்போட்டதற்காக கல்தேயருக்குப் பயந்தபடியினால்,
and they departed, and lived in Geruth Kimham, which is by Bethlehem, to go to enter into Egypt,
18 ௧௮ தாங்கள் எகிப்திற்குப் போகப்புறப்பட்டு, பெத்லெகேம் ஊருக்கு அருகிலுள்ள கிம்காமின் பேட்டையில் தங்கியிருந்தார்கள்.
because of the Chaldeans; for they were afraid of them, because Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had killed Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon made governor over the land.
