ஓசியா 9
1 ௧ இஸ்ரவேலே, மகிழ்ச்சியாக இருக்காதே; மற்ற மக்களைப்போல் களிகூராதே; உன் தேவனைவிட்டு நீ வழிவிலகிப்போனாய்; தானியம் போரடிக்கிற சகல களங்களிலும் கூலியை நாடுகிறாய்.
Rejoice not, O Israel, neither make merry, as [other] nations: for you have gone a-whoring from your God; you have loved gifts upon every threshing floor.
2 ௨ தானியக்களமும் திராட்சைத்தொட்டியும் அவர்களைப் பிழைக்கச்செய்வதில்லை; அவர்களுக்குத் திராட்சைரசம் ஒழிந்துபோகும்.
The threshing floor and wine-press knew them not, and the wine disappointed them.
3 ௩ அவர்கள் யெகோவாவுடைய தேசத்தில் குடியிருப்பதில்லை; எப்பிராயீமர்கள் மீண்டும் எகிப்திற்குப் போவார்கள்; அசீரியாவில் தீட்டுள்ளதைச் சாப்பிடுவார்கள்.
They lived not in the Lord's land: Ephraim lived in Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things amongst the Assyrians.
4 ௪ அவர்கள் யெகோவாவுக்குத் திராட்சைரசத்தின் பானபலியை ஊற்றுவதுமில்லை, அவருக்கு அங்கிகரிப்பாக இருப்பதுமில்லை; அவர்களுடைய பலிகள் அவர்களுக்குத் துக்கங்கொண்டாடுகிறவர்களின் அப்பத்தைபோல இருக்கும்; அதைச் சாப்பிடுகிற அனைவரும் தீட்டுப்படுவார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய அப்பம் அவர்களுக்கே உரியது, அது யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தில் வருவதில்லை.
They have not offered wine to the Lord, neither have their sacrifices been sweet to him, [but] as the bread of mourning to them; all that eat them shall be defiled; for their bread for their soul shall not enter into the house of the Lord.
What will you do in the day of the general assembly, and in the day of the feast of the Lord?
6 ௬ இதோ, அவர்கள் அழிவிற்குத் தப்பும்படி போய்விட்டார்கள்; எகிப்து அவர்களைச் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளும், மோப் பட்டணம் அவர்களை அடக்கம் செய்யும்; அவர்களுடைய வெள்ளியிருந்த விருப்பமான இடங்கள் நெருஞ்சிமுட்செடிகளுக்குச் சொந்தமாகும்; அவர்களுடைய குடியிருப்புகளில் முட்செடிகள் முளைக்கும்.
Therefore, behold, they go forth from the trouble of Egypt, and Memphis shall receive them, and Machmas shall bury them: [as for] their silver, destruction shall inherit it; thorns [shall be] in their tents.
7 ௭ விசாரிப்பின் நாட்கள் வரும், நீதி சரிக்கட்டும் நாட்கள் வரும் என்பதை இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் அறிந்துகொள்வார்கள்; உன் மிகுதியான அக்கிரமத்தினாலேயும், மிகுதியான பகையினாலேயும் தீர்க்கதரிசிகள் மூடர்களும், ஆவியைப் பெற்ற மனிதர்கள் பைத்தியம் பிடித்தவர்களுமாக இருக்கிறார்கள்.
The days of vengeance are come, the days of your recompense are come; and Israel shall be afflicted as the prophet that is mad, as a man deranged: by reason of the multitude of your iniquities your madness has abounded.
8 ௮ எப்பிராயீமின் காவற்காரர்கள் என் தேவனோடு எதிர்த்து நிற்கிறார்கள்; தீர்க்கதரிசி தன் வழிகளிலெல்லாம் குருவிபிடிக்கிறவனுடைய கண்ணியாகவும், தன் தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்திலே பகையாளியாகவும் இருக்கிறான்.
The watchman of Ephraim [was] with God: the prophet is a crooked snare in all his ways: they have established madness in the house of God.
9 ௯ கிபியாவின் நாட்களில் நடந்தது போல, அவர்கள் தங்களை மிகவும் கெடுத்துக்கொண்டார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய அக்கிரமத்தை அவர் நினைப்பார், அவர்களுடைய பாவங்களை விசாரிப்பார்.
They have corrupted themselves according to the days of the hill: he will remember their iniquities, he will take vengeance on their sins.
10 ௧0 வனாந்திரத்தில் திராட்சைக்குலைகளைக் கண்டுபிடிப்பதுபோல இஸ்ரவேலைக் கண்டுபிடித்தேன்; அத்திமரத்தில் முதல்முறை பழுத்த பழங்களைப்போல உங்கள் முற்பிதாக்களைக் கண்டுபிடித்தேன்; ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் பாகால்பேயோரிடம் போய், இழிவானதற்குத் தங்களை ஒப்புவித்து, தாங்கள் நேசித்தவைகளைப்போலத் தாங்களும் அருவருப்புள்ளவர்களானார்கள்.
I found Israel as grapes in the wilderness, and I saw their fathers as an early watchman in a fig tree: they went in to Beel-phegor, and were shamefully estranged, and the abominable became as the beloved.
11 ௧௧ எப்பிராயீமின் மகிமை ஒரு பறவையைப்போல் பறந்துபோகும்; அது பிறப்பதுமில்லை, வயிற்றிலிருப்பதும் இல்லை, கர்ப்பமடைவதும் இல்லை.
Ephraim has flown away as a bird; their glories from the birth, and the travail, and the conception.
12 ௧௨ அவர்கள் தங்கள் பிள்ளைகளை வளர்த்தாலும், அவர்களுக்கு மனிதர்கள் இல்லாதபடிக்கு அவர்களைப் பிள்ளைகள் இல்லாதவர்களாக்குவேன்; நான் அவர்களை விட்டுப்போகும்போது அவர்களுக்கு ஐயோ,
For even if they should rear their children, yet shall they be utterly bereaved: therefore also there is woe to them, [though] my flesh is of them.
13 ௧௩ நான் எப்பிராயீமைத் தீருவின் திசைவரை இருக்கிறதைப் பார்க்கிறபோது, அது நல்ல வசதியான இடத்திலே நாட்டப்பட்டிருக்கிறது; ஆனாலும் எப்பிராயீமர்கள் தங்கள் மகன்களைக் கொலை செய்கிறவனிடத்தில் வெளியே கொண்டுபோய்விடுவார்கள்.
Ephraim, [even] as I saw, gave their children for a prey; yes, Ephraim [was ready] to bring out his children to slaughter.
14 ௧௪ யெகோவாவே, நீர் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுப்பதைக் கொடும்; அவர்களுக்கு விழுந்துபோகிற கர்ப்பத்தையும் பால் இல்லாத முலைகளையும் கொடும்.
Give them, O Lord: what will you give them? a miscarrying womb, and dry breasts.
15 ௧௫ அவர்களுடைய பொல்லாப்பெல்லாம் கில்காலிலே நடக்கும்; அங்கே நான் அவர்களை வெறுத்தேன்; அவர்களுடைய பொல்லாப்பினிமித்தம் அவர்களை நான் என் சமுகத்தைவிட்டுத் துரத்துவேன்; இனி அவர்களை நேசிக்கமாட்டேன்; அவர்களுடைய அதிபதிகள் எல்லோரும் துரோகிகள்.
All their wickedness is in Galgal: for there I hated them: because of the wickedness of their practices, I will cast them out of my house, I will not love them any more: all their princes are disobedient.
16 ௧௬ எப்பிராயீமர்கள் வெட்டுண்டுபோனார்கள்; அவர்கள் வேர் உலர்ந்துபோயிற்று, கனிகொடுக்கமாட்டார்கள்; அவர்கள் பிள்ளைகளைப் பெற்றாலும், அவர்களுடைய கர்ப்பத்தின் பிரியமான கனிகளை அழிப்பேன்.
Ephraim is sick, he is dried up at his roots, he shall in no wise any more bear fruit: therefore even if they should beget [children], I will kill the desired [fruit] of their womb.
17 ௧௭ அவர்கள் அவருக்குச் செவிகொடாமற்போனதினால் என் தேவன் அவர்களை வெறுத்துவிடுவார்; அவர்கள் அந்நிய மக்களுக்குள்ளே அலைந்து திரிவார்கள்.
God shall reject them, because they have not listened to him: and they shall be wanderers amongst the nations.
