எசேக்கியேல் 4
1 ௧ மனிதகுமாரனே, நீ ஒரு செங்கல்லை எடுத்து, அதை உனக்குமுன் வைத்து, அதின்மேல் எருசலேம் நகரத்தை வரைந்து,
Thou also, son of man, take thee a tile, and lay it before thee, and portray upon it a city, even Jerusalem.
2 ௨ அதை சுற்றிலும் முற்றுகைபோட்டு, அதை சுற்றிலும் கோட்டைகளை கட்டி, அதை சுற்றிலும் மண்மேடுபோட்டு, அதை சுற்றிலும் இராணுவங்களை நிறுத்தி, அதை சுற்றிலும் மதில் இடிக்கும் இயந்திரங்களை வை.
And lay siege against it, and build forts against it, and cast up a mound against it. Also set camps against it, and plant battering rams against it round about.
3 ௩ மேலும் நீ ஒரு இரும்புச்சட்டியை வாங்கி, அதை உனக்கும் நகரத்திற்கும் நடுவாக இரும்புச்சுவராக்கி, அது முற்றுகையாகக் கிடக்கும்படி உன்னுடைய முகத்தை அதற்கு நேராகத் திருப்பி, அதை முற்றுகைபோட்டுக்கொண்டிரு; இது இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்கு அடையாளம்.
And take thou to thee an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between thee and the city. And set thy face toward it, and it shall be besieged, and thou shall lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.
4 ௪ நீ உன்னுடைய இடதுபக்கமாக ஒருபக்கமாகப் படுத்து, அதின்மேல் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களின் அக்கிரமத்தைச் சுமத்திக்கொள்; நீ அந்தப்பக்கமாக ஒருக்களித்திருக்கும் நாட்களின் எண்ணிக்கையின்படியே அவர்களுடைய அக்கிரமத்தைச் சுமப்பாய்.
Moreover lie thou upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it. According to the number of the days that thou shall lie upon it, thou shall bear their iniquity.
5 ௫ அவர்களுடைய அக்கிரமத்தின் வருடங்களை உனக்கு நாள் கணக்காக எண்ணக் கட்டளையிட்டேன்; முந்நூற்றுத்தொண்ணூறு நாட்கள்வரைக்கும் நீ இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களின் அக்கிரமத்தைச் சுமக்கவேண்டும்.
For I have appointed the years of their iniquity to be a number of days to thee, even three hundred and ninety days. So thou shall bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
6 ௬ நீ இவைகளை நிறைவேற்றினபின்பு, மறுபடியும் உன்னுடைய வலதுபக்கமாக ஒருக்களித்து, யூதா வீட்டாரின் அக்கிரமத்தை நாற்பதுநாட்கள் வரையும் சுமக்கவேண்டும்; ஒவ்வொரு வருடத்திற்குப் பதிலாக ஒவ்வொரு நாளை உனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டேன்.
And again, when thou have accomplished these, thou shall lie on thy right side, and shall bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days, each day for a year. I have appointed it to thee.
7 ௭ நீ எருசலேமின் முற்றுகைக்கு நேராகத் திருப்பிய முகமும், திறந்த கரமுமாக இருந்து, அதற்கு எதிராகத் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்.
And thou shall set thy face toward the siege of Jerusalem, with thine arm uncovered, and thou shall prophesy against it.
8 ௮ இதோ, நீ அதை முற்றுகைப்போடும் நாட்களை நிறைவேற்றும்வரை ஒரு பக்கத்திலிருந்து மறுபக்கத்தில் புரளமுடியாதபடி உன்னைக் கயிறுகளால் கட்டுவேன்.
And, behold, I lay bands upon thee, and thou shall not turn thee from one side to the other, till thou have accomplished the days of thy siege.
9 ௯ நீ கோதுமையையும் வாற்கோதுமையையும், பெரும்பயிற்றையும், சிறுபயிற்றையும், தினையையும், கம்பையும் வாங்கி, அவைகளை ஒரு பாத்திரத்திலே போட்டு, அவைகளால் உனக்கு அப்பம்சுடுவாய்; நீ ஒருக்களித்துப் படுக்கும் நாட்களுடைய இலக்கத்தின்படியே முந்நூற்றுத்தொண்ணூறுநாள் அதில் எடுத்துச் சாப்பிடவேண்டும்.
Also take thou to thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentils, and millet, and spelt, and put them in one vessel, and make thee bread of it, according to the number of the days that thou shall lie upon thy side, even three hundred and ninety days, thou shall eat of it.
10 ௧0 நீ சாப்பிடும் உணவு, நாள் ஒன்றுக்கு இருபது சேக்கல் நிறையாக இருக்கும்; அப்படி ஒவ்வொருநாளும் சாப்பிடுவாயாக.
And thy food which thou shall eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day. Thou shall eat it from time to time.
11 ௧௧ தண்ணீரையும் அளவாக ஹின் என்னும் படியில் ஆறில் ஒரு பங்கைக் குடிப்பாய்; அப்படி நாளுக்குநாள் குடிக்கவேண்டும்.
And thou shall drink water by measure, the sixth part of a hin. Thou shall drink from time to time.
12 ௧௨ அதை வாற்கோதுமை அடையைப்போல் சாப்பிடு; அது மனிதனிலிருந்து கழிந்த மலத்தின் வறட்டிகளால் அவர்கள் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாகச் சுடப்படவேண்டும்.
And thou shall eat it as barley cakes, and thou shall bake it in their sight with dung that comes out of man.
13 ௧௩ அதற்கு ஒத்தபடியே இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள், நான் அவர்களைத் துரத்துகிற அந்நியஜாதிகளுக்குள்ளே தங்களுடைய அப்பத்தைத் தீட்டுள்ளதாகச் சாப்பிடுவார்கள் என்று யெகோவா சொன்னார்.
And Jehovah said, Even thus shall the sons of Israel eat their bread unclean among the nations where I will drive them.
14 ௧௪ அப்பொழுது நான்: ஆ, உன்னதமான தேவனே, இதோ, என்னுடைய ஆத்துமா தீட்டுப்படவில்லை; தானாகச் செத்ததையோ, மிருகத்தால் வேட்டையாடப்பட்டதையோ நான் என்னுடைய சிறுவயதுமுதல் இதுவரைக்கும் சாப்பிட்டதில்லை; அருவருப்பான இறைச்சி என்னுடைய வாய்க்குள் போனதுமில்லை என்றேன்.
Then I said, Ah lord Jehovah! Behold, my soul has not been polluted. For from my youth up even till now I have not eaten of that which dies of itself, or is torn of beasts, neither has abominable flesh come into my mouth.
15 ௧௫ அப்பொழுது அவர் என்னை நோக்கி: பார், மனித மலத்தின் வறட்டிக்குப் பதிலாக உனக்கு மாட்டுச்சாணி வறட்டியைக் கட்டளையிடுகிறேன்; அதினால் உன்னுடைய அப்பத்தைச் சுடு என்றார்.
Then he said to me, See, I have given thee cow's dung for man's dung, and thou shall prepare thy bread of it.
16 ௧௬ பின்னும் அவர்: மனிதகுமாரனே, இதோ, அப்பமும் தண்ணீரும் அவர்களுக்குக் குறையவும், அவனவன் திடுக்கிடவும், அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய அக்கிரமத்திலே வாடிப்போகவும்,
Moreover he said to me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem, and they shall eat bread by weight, and with fearfulness, and they shall drink water by measure, and in dismay,
17 ௧௭ நான் எருசலேமிலே அப்பம் என்னும் ஆதரவுகோலை முறிக்கிறேன்; அவர்கள் அப்பத்தை நிறையின்படியே கவலையுடன் சாப்பிட்டு, தண்ணீரை அளவின்படியே பயத்தோடு குடிப்பார்கள்.
that they may lack bread and water, and be dismayed one with another, and pine away in their iniquity.
