தானியேல் 7
1 ௧ பாபிலோனின் ராஜாவாகிய பெல்ஷாத்சாரின் முதலாம் வருடத்திலே தானியேல் ஒரு கனவையும் தன் படுக்கையின்மேல் தன் எண்ணத்தில் தோன்றின தரிசனங்களையும் கண்டான். பின்பு அவன் அந்தக் கனவை எழுதி, காரியங்களின் சாராம்சத்தை விவரித்தான்.
In the first year of Belshazzar, king of Babylon, Daniel saw a dream and a vision in his head on his bed. And, writing down the dream, he understood it in a concise manner, and so, summarizing it tersely, he said:
2 ௨ தானியேல் சொன்னது: இரவு நேரத்தில் எனக்கு உண்டான தரிசனத்திலே நான் கண்டது என்னவென்றால்: இதோ, வானத்தின் நான்கு காற்றுகளும் பெரிய சமுத்திரத்தின்மேல் அடித்தது.
I saw in my vision at night, and behold, the four winds of the heavens fought upon the great sea.
And four great beasts, different from one another, ascended from the sea.
4 ௪ முதலாவது சிங்கத்தைப்போல இருந்தது; அதற்குக் கழுகின் இறக்கைகள் இருந்தது; நான் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கும்போது, அதின் சிறகுகள் பிடுங்கப்பட்டது; அது தரையிலிருந்து எடுக்கப்பட்டு, மனிதனைப்போல இரண்டு காலின்மேல் நிமிர்ந்துநிற்கும்படி செய்யப்பட்டது; மனித இருதயம் அதற்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது.
The first was like a lioness and had the wings of an eagle. I watched as its wings were plucked off, and it was raised from the earth and stood on its feet like a man, and the heart of a man was given to it.
5 ௫ பின்பு, கரடியைப் போல வேறே இரண்டாம் மிருகத்தைக் கண்டேன்; அது ஒரு பக்கமாகச் சாய்ந்து நின்று, தன் வாயின் பற்களுக்குள்ளே மூன்று விலா எலும்புகளைக் கவ்விக்கொண்டிருந்தது; எழும்பி அதிக மாம்சம் சாப்பிடு என்று அதற்குச் சொல்லப்பட்டது.
And behold, another beast, like a bear, stood to one side, and there were three rows in its mouth and in its teeth, and they spoke to it in this way: “Arise, devour much flesh.”
6 ௬ அதின்பின்பு, சிவிங்கியைப்போலிருக்கிற வேறொரு மிருகத்தைக் கண்டேன்; அதின் முதுகின்மேல் பறவையின் இறக்கைகளைப்போல நான்கு இறக்கைகள் இருந்தன; அந்த மிருகத்திற்கு நான்கு தலைகளும் இருந்தன; அதற்கு ஆளுகை கொடுக்கப்பட்டது.
After this, I watched, and behold, another like a leopard, and it had wings like a bird, four upon it, and four heads were on the beast, and power was given to it.
7 ௭ அதற்குப்பின்பு, இரவுநேரத் தரிசனங்களில் நான்காம் மிருகத்தைக் கண்டேன்; அது கொடியதும் பயங்கரமும் மகா பலத்ததுமாயிருந்தது; அதற்குப் பெரிய இரும்புப் பற்கள் இருந்தன; அது நொறுக்கி அழித்து, மீதியானதைத் தன் கால்களால் மிதித்துப்போட்டது; அது தனக்கு முன்பிருந்த எல்லா மிருகங்களைப்பார்க்கிலும் வேறுபட்ட உருவமாயிருந்தது, அதற்குப் பத்துக் கொம்புகள் இருந்தது.
After this, I watched in the vision of the night, and behold, a fourth beast, terrible yet wondrous, and exceedingly strong; it had great iron teeth, eating yet crushing, and trampling down the remainder with his feet, but it was unlike the other beasts, which I had seen before it, and it had ten horns.
8 ௮ அந்தக் கொம்புகளை நான் கவனித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கும்போது, இதோ, அவைகளுக்கு இடையிலே வேறொரு சிறிய கொம்பு எழும்பியது; அதற்கு முன்பாக முந்தின கொம்புகளில் மூன்று பிடுங்கப்பட்டது; இதோ, அந்தக் கொம்பிலே மனித கண்களைப்போன்ற கண்களும் பெருமையானவைகளைப் பேசும் வாயும் இருந்தது.
I considered the horns, and behold, another little horn rose out of the midst of them. And three of the first horns were rooted out by its presence. And behold, eyes like the eyes of a man were in this horn, and a mouth speaking unnatural things.
9 ௯ நான் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கும்போது, சிங்காசனங்கள் வைக்கப்பட்டன; நீண்ட ஆயுசுள்ளவர் வீற்றிருந்தார்; அவருடைய உடை உறைந்த மழையைப்போலவும், அவருடைய தலைமுடி வெண்மையாகவும், பஞ்சைப்போல தூய்மையாகவும் இருந்தது; அவருடைய சிங்காசனம் நெருப்புத் தழலும், அதின் சக்கரங்கள் எரிகிற நெருப்புமாயிருந்தது.
I watched until thrones were set up, and the Ancient of days sat down. His garment was radiant like snow, and the hair of his head like clean wool; his throne was flames of fire, its wheels had been set on fire.
10 ௧0 அக்கினி நதி அவர் சந்நிதியிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு ஓடினது; ஆயிரமாயிரம்பேர் அவரைச் சேவித்தார்கள்; கோடானகோடிபேர் அவருக்கு முன்பாக நின்றார்கள்; நியாயசங்கம் உட்கார்ந்தது; புத்தகங்கள் திறக்கப்பட்டது.
A river of fire rushed forth from his presence. Thousands upon thousands ministered to him, and ten thousand times hundreds of thousands attended before him. The trial began, and the books were opened.
11 ௧௧ அப்பொழுது நான் பார்த்தேன்; நான் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கும்போது அந்தக் கொம்பு பெருமையான பேச்சுகளைப் பேசினதினால் அந்த மிருகம் கொலைசெய்யப்பட்டது; அதின் உடல் அழிக்கப்பட்டு, எரிகிற நெருப்பிற்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்பட்டது.
I watched because of the voice of the great words which that horn was speaking, and I saw that the beast had been destroyed, and its body was ruined and had been handed over to be burnt with fire.
12 ௧௨ மற்ற மிருகங்களுடைய ஆளுகையோவென்றால், அவைகளை விட்டு நீக்கப்பட்டது; ஆனாலும், அவைகளுக்குக் காலமும் நேரமும் நிறைவேறும்வரை அவைகள் உயிரோடு இருக்கக் கட்டளையிடப்பட்டது.
Likewise, the power of the other beasts was taken away, and a limited time of life was appointed to them, until one time and another.
13 ௧௩ இரவுநேரத் தரிசனங்களிலே நான் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கும்போது, இதோ, மனிதனுடைய சாயலான ஒருவர் வானத்து மேகங்களுடனே வந்தார்; அவர் நீண்ட ஆயுள் உள்ளவரின் அருகில் கொண்டுவரப்பட்டார்.
I watched, therefore, in the vision of the night, and behold, with the clouds of heaven, one like a son of man arrived, and he approached all the way to the Ancient of days, and they presented him before him.
14 ௧௪ சகல மக்களும் தேசத்தார்களும், பல மொழிகளைப் பேசுகிறவர்களும் அவரையே சேவிக்கும்படி, அவருக்குக் கர்த்தத்துவமும், மகிமையும், அரசாட்சியும் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது; அவருடைய கர்த்தத்துவம் நீங்காத நித்திய கர்த்தத்துவமும், அவருடைய ஆளுகை அழியாததுமாயிருக்கும்.
And he gave him power, and honor, and the kingdom, and all peoples, tribes, and languages will serve him. His power is an eternal power, which will not be taken away, and his kingdom, one which will not be corrupted.
15 ௧௫ தானியேலாகிய நான் என் உடலுக்குள் என் ஆவியிலே சஞ்சலப்படமாட்டேன்; என் மனதில் தோன்றின தரிசனங்கள் என்னைக் கலங்கச்செய்தது.
My spirit was terrified. I, Daniel, was fearful at these things, and the visions of my head disturbed me.
16 ௧௬ சிங்காசனத்தின் அருகில் நிற்கிறவர்களில் ஒருவனிடத்தில் நான் போய், இதன் அர்த்தம் எல்லாவற்றையும் எனக்குச் சொல்லும்படி அவனை வேண்டிக்கொண்டேன்; அவன் அந்தக் காரியங்களின் அர்த்தத்தை எனக்கு அறிவித்துச் சொன்னது என்னவென்றால்:
I approached one of the attendants and asked the truth from him about all these things. He told me the interpretation of the words, and he instructed me:
“These four great beasts are four kingdoms, which will rise from the earth.
18 ௧௮ ஆனாலும் உன்னதமான தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்தவான்கள் அரசாட்சியைப்பெற்று, என்றென்றைக்குமுள்ள சதா காலங்களிலும் ராஜ்ஜியத்தைச் சொந்தமாக்கிக்கொள்வார்கள் என்றான்.
Yet it is the saints of the Most High God who will receive the kingdom, and they will hold the kingdom from this generation, and forever and ever.”
19 ௧௯ அப்பொழுது மற்றவைகளைப்பார்க்கிலும் வேறுபட்ட உருவம் கொடியதும், இரும்புப் பற்களும், வெண்கல நகங்களுமுடையதாக நொறுக்கி அழித்தது. மீதியானதைத் தன் கால்களால் மிதித்துப் போட்டதுமாயிருந்த நான்காம் மிருகத்தைக்குறித்தும்,
After this, I wanted to learn diligently about the fourth beast, which was very different from all, and exceedingly terrible; his teeth and claws were of iron; he devoured and crushed, and the remainder he trampled with his feet;
20 ௨0 அதின் தலைமேலுள்ள பத்துக்கொம்புகளைக்குறித்தும், தனக்கு முன்பாக மூன்று கொம்புகள் விழுந்துபோக எழும்பினதுமாக, கண்களையும் பெருமையானவைகளைப் பேசும் வாயை உடையதுமாக, மற்றவைகளைப்பார்க்கிலும் பருமனாகத் தோன்றினதுமாயிருந்த அந்த வேறே கொம்பைக்குறித்தும், அவற்றின் அர்த்தத்தை அறிய மனதாயிருந்தேன்.
and about the ten horns, which he had on his head, and about the other, which had sprung up, before which three horns fell, and about that horn which had eyes and a mouth speaking great things, and which was more powerful than the rest.
21 ௨௧ நீண்ட ஆயுசுள்ளவராகிய தேவன் வரும்வரைக்கும், நியாயவிசாரிப்பு, உன்னதமான தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்தவான்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டு, பரிசுத்தவான்கள் ராஜ்ஜியத்தைச் சொந்தமாக்கிக்கொள்ளும் காலம் வரும்வரைக்கும்,
I watched, and behold, that horn made war against the holy ones and prevailed over them,
until the Ancient of days came and gave judgment to the holy ones of the Supreme One, and the time arrived, and the holy ones obtained the kingdom.
23 ௨௩ அவன் சொன்னது: நான்காம் மிருகம் பூமியிலே உண்டாகும் நான்காம் ராஜ்ஜியமாகும்; அது எல்லா ராஜ்ஜியங்களைப்பார்க்கிலும் வேறுபட்டதாக இருந்து, பூமியை எல்லாம் அழித்து, அதை மிதித்து, அதை நொறுக்கிப்போடும்.
And thus he said, “The fourth beast will be the fourth kingdom on earth, which will be greater than all the kingdoms, and will devour the whole earth, and will trample and crush it.
24 ௨௪ அந்தப் பத்துக்கொம்புகள் என்னவென்றால், அந்த ராஜ்ஜியத்திலே எழும்பும் பத்து ராஜாக்களாகும்; அவர்களுக்குப்பின்பு வேறொருவன் எழும்புவான்; அவன் முந்தினவர்களைப்பார்க்கிலும் வேறுபட்டதாக இருந்து, மூன்று ராஜாக்களைத் தாழ்த்திப்போட்டு,
Moreover, the ten horns of the same kingdom will be ten kings, and another will rise up after them, and he will be mightier than the ones before him, and he will bring down three kings.
25 ௨௫ உன்னதமான தேவனுக்கு விரோதமாக வார்த்தைகளைப் பேசி, உன்னதமான தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்தவான்களை ஒடுக்கி, காலங்களையும் பிரமாணங்களையும் மாற்ற நினைப்பான்; அவர்கள் ஒரு காலமும். காலங்களும், அரைக்காலமும் செல்லும்வரை அவனுடைய கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்படுவார்கள்.
And he will speak words against the Supreme One, and will exhaust the holy ones of the Most High, and he will think about what it would take to change the times and the laws, and they will be given into his hand until a time, and times, and half a time.
26 ௨௬ ஆனாலும் நியாயசங்கம் உட்காரும்; அப்பொழுது முடிவுவரை அவனை முற்றிலும் அழிக்கும்படியாக அவனுடைய ஆளுகையை நீக்கிப்போடுவார்கள்.
And a trial will begin, so that his power may be taken away, and be crushed, and be undone all the way to the end.
27 ௨௭ வானத்தின் கீழெங்குமுள்ள ராஜ்ஜியங்களின் ராஜரிகமும் ஆளுகையும் மகத்துவமும் உன்னதமான தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்தவான்களாகிய மக்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படும்; அவருடைய ராஜ்ஜியம் நித்திய ராஜ்ஜியம்; சகல கர்த்தத்துவங்களும் அவரைச் சேவித்து, அவருக்குக் கீழ்ப்பட்டிருக்கும் என்றான்.
Yet the kingdom, and the power, and the greatness of that kingdom, which is under all of heaven, shall be given to the people of the holy ones of the Most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all kings will serve and obey him.”
28 ௨௮ அவன் சொன்ன வார்த்தை இத்துடன் முடிந்தது. தானியேலாகிய நான் என் நினைவுகளால் மிகவும் கலங்கினேன்; என் முகம் வேறுபட்டது; இந்தக் காரியத்தை என் மனதிலே வைத்துக்கொண்டேன்.
And here is the end of the message. I, Daniel, was greatly disturbed by my thoughts, and my mood was changed in me, but I preserved the message in my heart.
