1 Mpigieni Yahwe kelele za furaha, enyi nchi yote.

Everyone in the world should shout joyfully to Yahweh!

2 Mtumikieni Yahwe kwa furaha; njoni mbele zake mkiimba kwa furaha.

We should worship Yahweh gladly! We should come before him singing joyful songs.

3 Mjue kuwa Yahwe ni Mungu; alituumba, na sisi tu wake. Tu watu wake na kondoo wa malisho yake.

We should acknowledge/recognize that Yahweh is God; it is he who made us, [so] we belong to him. We are the people that he takes care of [MET]; we are [like] sheep that are cared for by their shepherd.

4 Ingieni malangoni mwake kwa shukrani na nyuani mwake kwa kusifu. Mshukuruni yeye na litukuzeni jina lake.

Enter the gates [of his temple] thanking him; enter the courtyard [of the temple] singing songs to praise him! Thank him and praise him,

5 Maana Yahwe ni mwema; uaminifu wa agano lake wadumu milele na uaminifu wake vizazi na vizazi vyote.

because Yahweh always [does] good [things for us]. He faithfully loves us, and (is faithful/is loyal to us forever/will never forsake us).
