Yoshua 21
1 Kisha wakuu wa koo za Walawi walimwendea Eliazari kuhani, na kwa Yoshua mwana wa Nuni, na kwa viongozi wa familia za mababu zao miongoni mwa watu wa Israeli.
Then came the principall fathers of the Leuites vnto Eleazar the Priest, and vnto Ioshua the sonne of Nun, and vnto the chiefe fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel,
2 Waliwaambia, “Yahweh aliwaagizeni ninyi kwa mkono wa Musa kwamba mtupatieni miji ya kuishi yenye maeneo kwa ajili ya kuchungia ya mifugo.” waliyasema haya huko Shilo katika nchi ya Kanaani.
And spake vnto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, The Lord commanded by the hande of Moses, to giue vs cities to dwell in, with the suburbes thereof for our cattell.
3 Hivyo, kwa agizo la Yahweh, watu wa Israeli waliwapa Walawi kutoka katika urithi wa wao miji ifuatayo pamoja na maeneo yao ya kuchungia.
So the children of Israel gaue vnto the Leuites, out of their inheritance at the commandement of the Lord these cities with their suburbes.
4 Upigaji wa kura kwa ajili ya koo za Wakohathi ulileta matokeo haya: makuhani ambao ni wazawa wa Haruni ambao walitokana na Walawi, walipokea miji kumi na mitatu waliopewa kutoka kwa kabila la Yuda, kutoka kabila la Simoni, na kutoka kabila la Benyamini.
And the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites: and the children of Aaron ye Priest, which were of the Leuites, had by lot, out of the tribe of Iudah, and out of the tribe of Simeon, and out of the tribe of Beniamin thirteene cities.
5 Koo zilizobaki za Wakohathi walipokea kwa kupiga kura kwa miji kumi kutoka katika kabila za Efraimu, Dani, na kutoka kwa nusu ya kabila la Manase.
And the rest of the children of Kohath had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the halfe tribe of Manasseh, tenne cities.
6 Na watu wazawa wa Gershoni walipewa miji kumi na mitatu kwa kupigiwa kura kutoka kwa koo za kabila la Isakari, Asheri, Nafutali, na nusu ya kabila la Manase katika Bashani.
Also the children of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of ye tribe of Naphtali, and out of the halfe tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteene cities.
7 Watu waliokuwa wazawa wa Merari walipokea miji kumi na miwili kutoka katika makabila ya Rubeni, Gadi na Zabuloni.
The children of Merari according to their families had out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelue cities.
8 Basi, watu wa Israeli waliwapa Walawi miji hii pamoja na maeneo yao ya kuchungia, kwa kupiga kura, kama vile Yahweh alivyokuwa ameagiza kwa mkono wa Musa.
So the children of Israel gaue by lot vnto the Leuites these cities with their suburbes, as the Lord had commanded by the hand of Moses.
9 Kutoka kwa makabila la Yuda na Simoni, waliwapa nchi katika miji ifuatayo iliyoorodheshwa kwa majina.
And they gaue out of the tribe of the children of Iudah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeo, these cities which are here named.
10 Miji hii walipewa wazawa wa Haruni, ambao walikuwa miongoni mwa koo za Wakohathi, ambao walitoka katika kabila la Lawi. Kwa kuwa upigaji wa kura ya kwanza uliwaangukiwa wao.
And they were the childrens of Aaron being of the families of the Kohathites, and of the sonnes of Leui, (for theirs was the first lot)
11 Waisraeli waliwapatia Kiriathi Arba ( Arba alikuwa ni baba wa Anaki), eneo hilo liliitwa pia Hebroni, katika nchi ya milima ya Yuda, pamoja na maeneo ya kulishia mifugo yaliyouzunguka mji.
So they gaue them Kiriath-arba of the father of Anok (which is Hebron) in the mountaine of Iudah, with the suburbes of the same round about it.
12 Lakini mashamba ya mji na vijiji vyake vilikuwa tayari ameshapewa Kalebu mwana Yefune, kama mali yake.
(But the lande of the citie, and the villages thereof, gaue they to Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh to be his possession)
13 Na kwa wana wa Haruni kuhani, waliwapa Hebroni pamoja na eneo lake la kulishia mifugo ambao ulikuwa ni mji wa makimbilio kwa mtu aliyeua mtu bila kukusudia na Libna pamoja na maeneo ya kulishia mifugo.
Thus they gaue to the children of Aaron the Priest, a citie of refuge for the slaier, euen Hebron with her suburbes, and Libnah with her suburbes,
14 Na Yatiri pamoaja na maeno yake ya kuchungia, na Eshitemoa pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho.
And Iattir with her suburbes, and Eshtemoa, and her suburbes,
15 Lakini pia waliwapa Holoni pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho, Debiri pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho,
And Holon with her suburbes, and Debir with her suburbes,
16 Aini pampoja na maeneo yake ya malisho, na Bethi Shemeshi pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho. Ilikuwa ni miji kumi na tisa ambayo walipewa kutoka katika makabila haya mawilil.
And Ain with her suburbes, and Iuttah with her suburbes, Beth-shemesh with her suburbes: nine cities out of those two tribes.
17 Kutoka katika kabilala Benyamini walipewa Gibea pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho, na Geba pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho,
And out of the tribe of Beniamin they gaue Gibeon with her suburbes, Geba with her suburbes,
18 na Anathothi pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho, na amoni pamoja na vitongoji vyake vinne.
Anathoth with her suburbes, and Almon with her suburbes: foure cities.
19 Miji waliyopewa makuhani, wana wa Haruni, ilikuwa ni miji kumi na mitatu kwa ujumla, kujumlisha na maeneo yake ya malisho.
All the cities of the children of Aaron Priests, were thirteene cities with their suburbes.
20 Na kwa ajili ya sehemu ya familia ya Kohathi iliyosalia, wale Walawi walio wa familia ya Kohathi, walipewa miji kutoka katika kabila la Efraimu kwa kupiga kura.
But to the families of the children of Kohath of the Leuites, which were the rest of the children of Kohath (for the cities of their lot were out of the tribe of Ephraim)
21 Walipewa Shekemu pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho katika nchi ya milima ya Efraimu - mji wa makimbilio kwa mtu aliyeua mtu bila kukusudia, na Gezeri pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho,
They gaue them the citie of refuge for the slaier, Shechem with her suburbes in mount Ephraim, and Gezer with her suburbes,
22 na Kibzaimu pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho, na Bethi Horoni pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho, ilikuwa miji minne kwa ujumla wake.
And Kibzaim with her suburbs, and Bethhoron with her suburbes: foure cities.
23 Kutoka katika kabila la Dani, ukoo wa Kohathi ulipewa Elteke pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho, na Gibethoni pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho, na
And out of the tribe of Dan, Eltekeh with her suburbes, Gibethon with her suburbes,
24 Aijaloni pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho, na Gathrimoni pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho, ilikuwa ni miji minne kwa ujumla wake.
Aiialon with her suburbes, Gath-rimmon with her suburbes: foure cities.
25 Kutoka katika nusu ya kabila la Manase, ukoo wa Kohathi walipewa miji miwili - Taanaki pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho na Gathirimoni pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho.
And out of the halfe tribe of Manasseh, Tanach with her suburbes, and Gath-rimmon with her suburbes: two cities.
26 Kulikuwa na miji kumi kwa ujumla wake kwa ajili ya koo zilizosalia za Wakohathi, pamoja na maeneo yao ya malisho.
All the cities for the other families of the children of Kohath were ten with their suburbes.
27 Kutoka katika nusu ya kabila la Manase, jamaa za Gershoni, ambazo hizi zilikuwa ni koo zingine za Walawi, zilipewa Golani katika Bashani pamoja na maeneo yao ya malisho, ni mji wa makimbilio kwa ajili ya mtu yeyote aliyeua mtu bila kukusudia, sambamba na Beeshitera pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho - ilikuwa miji miwili kwa ujumla.
Also vnto the children of Gershon of the families of the Leuites, they gaue out of the halfe tribe of Manasseh, the citie of refuge for the slaier, Golan in Bashan with her suburbes, and Beeshterah with her suburbes: two cities.
28 Koo za Gershoni zilipewa pia miji minne kutoka kwa kabila la Isakari - Kishoni sambamba na maeneo yake ya malisho, Daberathi pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho,
And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishon with her suburbes, Dabereh with her suburbes,
29 Yarmuthi pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho, na Engnimu pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho.
Iarmuth with her suburbes, En-gannim with her suburbes: foure cities.
30 Kutoka katika kabila la Asheri, walipewa miji minne kwa ujumla - Mishali pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho, Abdoni pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho,
And out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal with her suburbes, Abdon with her suburbes,
31 Helikathi pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho, na Rehobu pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho.
Helkah with her suburbs, and Rehob with her suburbes: foure cities.
32 Kutoka kwa kabila la Nafutali, nasaba za Gershoni walipewa miji mitatu kwa ujumla - Kedeshi katika Galilaya pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho, ulikuwa ni mji wa makimbilio kwa mtu yeyote aliyeua mtu bila kukusudia; na Hamothidori pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho, na Kartani pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho.
And out of the tribe of Naphtali, the citie of refuge for the slaier, Kedesh in Galil with her suburbes, and Hammoth-dor with her suburbes, and Kartan with her suburbes: three cities.
33 Kulikuwa na miji kumi na mitatu kwa ujumla, kujumuisha na maeneo yake ya malisho, kwa ajili ya koo za Gershoni.
Al the cities of the Gershonites according to their families, were thirteene cities with their suburbes.
34 Na kwa Walawi waliosalia, koo za Merari waliokuwa wamepewa kutoka katika kabila la Zabuloni: Yokneamu pamoa na maeneo yake ya marisho, Karta pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho,
Also vnto the families of the children of Merari the rest of the Leuites, they gaue out of the tribe of Zebulun, Iokneam with her suburbs, and Kartah with her suburbes,
35 Dimna pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho, na Nahalali pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho- ilikuwa ni miji minne kwa ujumla.
Dimnah with her suburbes, Nahalal, with her suburbes: foure cities.
36 Kwa mbari za Merari walipewa miji minne kutoka katika kabila la Rubeni: Bezeri pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho, Yahazi pamoja na maene yake ya malisho,
And out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer with her suburbs, and Iahazah with her suburbs,
37 na Kedemothi pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho, na Mefaathi pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho.
Kedemoth with her suburbes, and Mephaath with her suburbes: foure cities.
38 Kutoka katika kabila la Gadi walipewa miji ya Ramothi katika Gileadi pamoja na sehemu zake za malisho - huu ulikuwa ni mji wa makimbilio kwa mtu aliyeua mtu mwenzake bila kukusudia - na Mahanaimu pamoja na sehemu zake za malisho.
And out of the tribe of Gad they gaue for a citie of refuge for the slaier, Ramoth in Gilead with her suburbes, and Mahanaim with her suburbes,
39 Koo za Merari zilipewa pia Heshiboni pamoja na maeneo yake ya malisho, na Yazeri pamoja na malisho yake.
Heshbon with her suburbs, and Iazer with her suburbes: foure cities in all.
40 Hii ilikuwa ni miji minne kwa ujumla wake. Hii yote ilikuwa ni miji ya koo kadhaa za Merari, ambao walitoka katika kabila la Lawi, miji kumi na miwili walipewa wao kwa kupiga kura.
So all the cities of the children of Merari according to their families (which were the rest of the families of the Leuites) were by their lot, twelue cities.
41 Miji waliyopewa Walawi kutoka katikati ya nchi iliyomilikiwa na watu wa Israeli ilikuwa miji arobaini na nane, kujumuisha na sehemu za malisho yao.
And all the cities of the Leuites within the possession of the children of Israel, were eight and fourtie with their suburbes.
42 Miji hii kila mmoja ulikuwa na maeneo yake ya malisho kwa kuuzunguka mji. Miji hii yote ilikuwa hivyo.
These cities lay euery one seuerallie with their suburbes round about them: so were all these cities.
43 Basi Yahweh aliwapa Israeli nchi yote ambayo aliwaapia baba zao kuwa atawapa. Waisraeli waliimiliki nchi na wakakaa humo.
So the Lord gaue vnto Israel all ye land, which hee had sworne to giue vnto their fathers: and they possessed it, and dwelt therein.
44 Kisha Yahweh akawapa pumziko kwa kila upande, kama tu alivyowaahidia baba zao. Hakuna hata adui mmoja atakayeweza kuwashinda. Yawhew aliwatia maadui wao wote mikononi mwao.
Also the Lord gaue them rest rounde about according to all that hee had sworne vnto their fathers: and there stoode not a man of all their enemies before them: for the Lord deliuered all their enemies into their hand.
45 Hakuna hata kitu kimoja miongoni kwa ahadi nzuri ambazo Yahweh alizisema kwa nyumba ya Israeli ambazo hazikutimia. Ahadi zote zilitimia.
There failed nothing of all the good things, which the Lord hath sayde vnto the house of Israel, but all came to passe.
