Mathayo 16
1 Mafarisayo na Masadukayo wakamjia Yesu na kumjaribu kwa kumwomba awaonyeshe ishara kutoka mbinguni.
And having approached the Pharisees and Sadducees, testing they asked Him a sign out of heaven to show them.
2 Yesu akawajibu, “Ifikapo jioni, mnasema, ‘Hali ya hewa itakuwa nzuri, kwa kuwa anga ni nyekundu.’
And answering He said to them; Evening having come you say; Fair weather, is red for the sky.
3 Nanyi wakati wa asubuhi mnasema, ‘Leo kutakuwa na dhoruba, kwa sababu anga ni nyekundu na mawingu yametanda.’ Mnajua jinsi ya kupambanua kule kuonekana kwa anga, lakini hamwezi kupambanua dalili za nyakati.
And in the morning; Today a storm, is red for being overcast the sky. (hypocrites *K*) The indeed appearance of the sky you know [how] to discern, however the signs of the times not you are able?
4 Kizazi kiovu na cha uzinzi kinatafuta ishara, lakini hakitapewa ishara yoyote isipokuwa ishara ya Yona.” Yesu akawaacha, akaenda zake.
A generation evil and adulterous a sign seeks; and a sign not will be given to it only except the sign of Jonah (prophet. *K*) And having left them He went away.
5 Wanafunzi wake walipofika ngʼambo ya bahari, walikuwa wamesahau kuchukua mikate.
And having come the disciples (of him *k*) to the other side they forgot bread to take.
6 Yesu akawaambia, “Jihadharini. Jilindeni na chachu ya Mafarisayo na ya Masadukayo.”
And Jesus said to them; do watch and do beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
7 Wakajadiliana wao kwa wao, wakisema, “Ni kwa sababu hatukuleta mikate.”
And they were reasoning among themselves saying Because bread not we took.
8 Yesu, akifahamu majadiliano yao, akauliza, “Enyi wa imani haba! Mbona mnajadiliana miongoni mwenu kuhusu kutokuwa na mikate?
Having known [this] however Jesus said (to them: *k*) Why reason you among yourselves, O [you] of little faith, because bread not (you take? *N(K)O*)
9 Je, bado hamwelewi? Je, hamkumbuki ile mikate mitano iliyolisha watu 5,000 na idadi ya vikapu vingapi vya mabaki mlivyokusanya?
Not yet do you understand nor remember the five loaves for the five thousand and how many hand-baskets you gathered?
10 Au ile mikate saba iliyolisha watu 4,000 na idadi ya vikapu vingapi vya mabaki mlivyokusanya?
Nor [remember] the seven loaves for the four thousand and how many baskets you gathered?
11 Inakuwaje mnashindwa kuelewa kwamba nilikuwa sisemi nanyi habari za mikate? Jilindeni na chachu ya Mafarisayo na Masadukayo.”
How not understand you that not concerning (loaves *N(k)O*) I spoke to you? (do beware *N(k)O*) (also *no*) of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees!
12 Ndipo wakaelewa kwamba alikuwa hasemi juu ya chachu ya kutengeneza mikate, bali juu ya mafundisho ya Mafarisayo na Masadukayo.
Then they understood that not He said to beware of the leaven (of the loaves *N(k)O*) but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
13 Basi Yesu alipofika katika eneo la Kaisaria-Filipi, akawauliza wanafunzi wake, “Watu husema kwamba mimi Mwana wa Adamu ni nani?”
Having come then Jesus into the district of Caesarea Philippi He was questioning the disciples of Him saying; Whom (Me *k*) do pronounce men to be the Son of man?
14 Wakamjibu, “Baadhi husema ni Yohana Mbatizaji; wengine husema ni Eliya; na bado wengine husema ni Yeremia au mmojawapo wa manabii.”
And they said: Some indeed, John the Baptist, others however, Elijah, others however, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.
15 Akawauliza, “Je, ninyi mnasema mimi ni nani?”
He says to them; You yourselves but whom Me do you pronounce to be?
16 Simoni Petro akamjibu, “Wewe ndiwe Kristo, Mwana wa Mungu aliye hai.”
Answering now Simon Peter said; You yourself are the Christ the Son of God the living.
17 Naye Yesu akamwambia, “Heri wewe, Simoni Bar-Yona, kwa maana hili halikufunuliwa kwako na mwanadamu, bali na Baba yangu aliye mbinguni.
(and *k*) Answering (now *no*) Jesus said to him; Blessed are you, Simon Barjona! For flesh and blood not revealed [it] to you but the Father of Mine who [is] in the heavens.
18 Nami nakuambia, wewe ndiwe Petro na juu ya mwamba huu nitalijenga kanisa langu, hata malango ya Kuzimu hayataweza kulishinda. (Hadēs g86)
I myself also I myself also now to you say that you yourself are Peter and on this the rock I will build My church, and [the] gates of hades not will prevail against it. (Hadēs g86)
19 Nitakupa funguo za Ufalme wa mbinguni, na lolote utakalolifunga duniani litakuwa limefungwa Mbinguni, nalo lolote utakalofungua duniani litakuwa limefunguliwa mbinguni.”
(and *ko*) I will give to you the keys of the kingdom of the heavens, and whatever (if *NK(o)*) you shall bind on the earth, will be bound in the heavens, and whatever (maybe *NK(o)*) you shall loose on the earth, will be loosed in the heavens.
20 Kisha akawakataza wanafunzi wake wasimwambie mtu yeyote kwamba yeye ndiye Kristo.
Then (he ordered *NK(O)*) the disciples (of him *k*) that to no one they may say that He himself is (Jesus *k*) the Christ.
21 Tangu wakati huo, Yesu alianza kuwaeleza wanafunzi wake kwamba hana budi kwenda Yerusalemu na kupata mateso mengi mikononi mwa wazee, viongozi wa makuhani, na walimu wa sheria, na kwamba itampasa auawe lakini siku ya tatu kufufuliwa.
From that time began Jesus (Christ *O*) to show to the disciples of Him that it is necessary for Him to Jerusalem to go away and many things to suffer from the elders and chief priests and scribes and to be killed and on the third day to be raised.
22 Petro akamchukua kando, akaanza kumkemea akisema, “Haiwezekani, Bwana! Jambo hili kamwe halitakupata!”
And having taken aside Him Peter began to rebuke Him saying; Far be it from You, Lord; certainly not will be to You this.
23 Lakini Yesu akageuka na kumwambia Petro, “Rudi nyuma yangu, Shetani! Wewe ni kikwazo kwangu. Moyo wako hauwazi yaliyo ya Mungu, bali ya wanadamu.”
And having turned He said to Peter; do go behind Me Satan! A stumbling block you are (to me, *N(k)O*) For not your thoughts are of those of God but [of] the [things] of men.
24 Ndipo Yesu akawaambia wanafunzi wake, “Mtu yeyote akitaka kunifuata, ni lazima ajikane mwenyewe, auchukue msalaba wake, anifuate.
Then Jesus said to the disciples of Him; If anyone desires after Me to come, he should deny himself and he should take up the cross of him and he should follow Me.
25 Kwa maana yeyote anayetaka kuyaokoa maisha yake atayapoteza, lakini yeyote atakayeyapoteza maisha yake kwa ajili yangu atayapata.
Who[ever] for (maybe *N(k)O*) shall desire the life of him to save, will lose it; who[ever] however maybe shall lose the life of him on account of Me, will find it.
26 Kwa maana, je, itamfaidi nini mtu kuupata ulimwengu wote, lakini akayapoteza maisha yake? Au mtu atatoa nini badala ya nafsi yake?
What for (will it be profitable *N(k)O*) [for] a man, if the world whole he shall gain, but the soul of him shall lose? Or what will give a man [as] an exchange for the soul of him?
27 Kwa maana Mwana wa Adamu atakuja katika utukufu wa Baba yake pamoja na malaika zake, naye ndipo atakapomlipa kila mtu kwa kadiri ya matendo yake.
Is about for the Son of the man to come in the glory of the Father of Him with the angels of Him and then He will give to each according to the deeds of him.
28 Nawaambia kweli, baadhi yenu hapa hawataonja mauti kabla ya kumwona Mwana wa Adamu akija katika Ufalme wake.”
Amen I say to you (that *no*) there are some of those here (already standing *NK(o)*) who certainly not shall taste of death until when they may have seen the Son of Man coming in the kingdom of Him.
