Ayubu 1
1 Katika nchi ya Usi paliishi mtu ambaye aliitwa Ayubu. Mtu huyu alikuwa hana hatia, naye alikuwa mkamilifu; alimcha Mungu na kuepukana na uovu.
A man he was in [the] land of Uz [was] Job name his and he was - the man that blameless and upright and fearing God and turning aside from evil.
2 Alikuwa na wana saba na binti watatu,
And they were born to him seven sons and three daughters.
3 naye alikuwa na kondoo elfu saba, ngamia elfu tatu, jozi mia tano za maksai, na punda mia tano, tena alikuwa na idadi kubwa ya watumishi. Alikuwa mtu mkuu sana miongoni mwa watu wa Mashariki.
And it was livestock his seven thousand sheep and three thousand camels and five hundred pair[s] of ox[en] and five hundred female donkeys and service much very and he was the man that great more than all [the] people of [the] east.
4 Wanawe walikuwa na desturi ya kufanya karamu katika nyumba zao kwa zamu, nao wangewaalika umbu zao watatu ili kula na kunywa pamoja nao.
And they went sons his and they made a feast [the] house of each one day his and they sent and they invited [the] three (sisters their *Q(k)*) to eat and to drink with them.
5 Wakati kipindi cha karamu kilimalizika, Ayubu angetuma waitwe na kuwafanyia utakaso. Angetoa dhabihu ya sadaka ya kuteketezwa kwa ajili ya kila mmoja wao asubuhi na mapema, akifikiri, “Pengine wanangu wametenda dhambi na kumlaani Mungu mioyoni mwao.” Hii ilikuwa ndiyo desturi ya kawaida ya Ayubu.
And it was that they had gone round [the] days of the feast and he sent Job and he sanctified them and he rose early in the morning and he offered up burnt offerings [the] number of all of them for he said Job perhaps they have sinned children my and they have blessed God in heart their thus he did Job all the days.
6 Siku moja wana wa Mungu walikwenda kujionyesha mbele za Bwana. Shetani naye akaja pamoja nao.
And it was the day and they came [the] sons of God to present themselves on Yahweh and he came also the adversary in midst of them.
7 Bwana akamwambia Shetani, “Umetoka wapi?” Shetani akamjibu Bwana, “Natoka kuzunguka pote duniani, nikitembea huku na huko humo.”
And he said Yahweh to the adversary from where? are you coming and he answered the adversary Yahweh and he said from roving about on the earth and from going about on it.
8 Ndipo Bwana akamwambia Shetani, “Je, umemwangalia huyo mtumishi wangu Ayubu? Hakuna mtu mwingine duniani aliye kama yeye, asiye na hatia, ni mnyofu, mwenye kumcha Mungu, na kuepukana na uovu.”
And he said Yahweh to the adversary ¿ have you set heart your on servant my Job for there not [is] like him on the earth a man blameless and upright fearing God and [who] turns aside from evil.
9 Shetani akamjibu Bwana, “Je, Ayubu anamcha Mungu bure?
And he answered the adversary Yahweh and he said ¿ in vain has he feared Job God.
10 Je, wewe hukumjengea boma pande zote yeye na wa nyumbani mwake pamoja na kila kitu alicho nacho? Kazi za mikono yake umezibariki na hivyo makundi yake ya kondoo na mbuzi pamoja na ya wanyama yameenea katika nchi nzima.
¿ Not (you *Q(K)*) have you put a hedge behind him and behind house his and behind all that [belongs] to him from round about [the] work of hands his you have blessed and livestock his it has spread out in the land.
11 Lakini nyoosha mkono wako na kupiga kila kitu alicho nacho, naye kwa hakika atakulaani mbele za uso wako.”
And but stretch out please hand your and touch all that [belongs] to him if not on face your he will bless you.
12 Bwana akamwambia Shetani, “Vema sana, kwa hiyo, kila kitu alicho nacho kiko mikononi mwako, lakini juu ya huyo mtu mwenyewe usimguse hata kwa kidole.” Ndipo Shetani akatoka mbele za Bwana.
And he said Yahweh to the adversary there! all that [belongs] to him [is] in hand your only against him may not you stretch out hand your and he went out the adversary from with [the] presence of Yahweh.
13 Siku moja watoto wa Ayubu walipokuwa wakifanya karamu wakila na kunywa divai katika nyumba ya ndugu yao mkubwa,
And it was the day and sons his and daughters his [were] eating and drinking wine in [the] house of brother their the firstborn.
14 akaja mjumbe kwa Ayubu na kusema, “Maksai walikuwa wakilima na punda walikuwa wakilisha karibu nao,
And a messenger he came to Job and he said the ox[en] they were plowing and the female donkeys [were] grazing on hands their.
15 Waseba wakawashambulia na kuchukua mifugo. Kisha wakawaua watumishi kwa upanga, nami ndimi peke yangu niliyenusurika kukuletea habari!”
And it fell Sabean[s] and it took them and the servants they struck to [the] mouth of [the] sword and I have escaped! only I to alone me to tell to you.
16 Alipokuwa bado ananena, mjumbe mwingine akaja na kusema, “Moto wa Mungu ulishuka kutoka mbinguni na kuteketeza kondoo na watumishi, nami ndimi peke yangu niliyenusurika kukuletea habari!”
Still - this [one] [was] speaking and this [one] he came and he said [the] fire of God it fell from the heavens and it burned the sheep and the servants and it consumed them and I have escaped! only I to alone me to tell to you.
17 Alipokuwa bado ananena, mjumbe mwingine akaja na kusema, “Wakaldayo waliunda vikosi vitatu vya uvamizi na kuwaangukia ngamia wako na kuwachukua wakaondoka nao. Wakawaua watumishi kwa upanga, nami ndimi peke yangu niliyenusurika kukuletea habari.”
Still - this [one] [was] speaking and this [one] he came and he said [the] Chaldeans they formed - three companies and they made a raid on the camels and they took them and the servants they struck to [the] mouth of [the] sword and I have escaped! only I to alone me to tell to you.
18 Alipokuwa bado ananena, mjumbe mwingine akaja na kusema, “Wana wako na binti zako walipokuwa wakifanya karamu, wakila na kunywa divai katika nyumba ya ndugu yao mkubwa,
Until this [one] [was] speaking and this [one] he came and he said sons your and daughters your [were] eating and drinking wine in [the] house of brother their the firstborn.
19 ghafula upepo wenye nguvu ukavuma kutoka jangwani, nao ukaipiga nyumba hiyo pembe zake nne. Ikawaangukia hao watoto nao wamekufa, nami ndimi peke yangu niliyenusurika kukuletea habari!”
And there! a wind great it came - from [the] other side of the wilderness and it touched [the] four [the] corners of the house and it fell on the youths and they died and I have escaped! only I to alone me to tell to you.
20 Ndipo Ayubu akasimama, akararua joho lake na kunyoa nywele zake. Kisha akaanguka chini katika kuabudu
And he arose Job and he tore robe his and he shaved head his and he fell [the] earth towards and he bowed down.
21 na kusema: “Nilitoka tumboni mwa mama yangu uchi, nami nitaondoka uchi, Bwana alinipa, naye Bwana ameviondoa, jina la Bwana litukuzwe.”
And he said naked (I came out *Q(k)*) from [the] womb of mother my and naked I will return there towards Yahweh he gave and Yahweh he has taken may it be [the] name of Yahweh blessed.
22 Katika mambo haya yote, Ayubu hakutenda dhambi kwa kumlaumu Mungu kwa kufanya ubaya.
In all this not he sinned Job and not he ascribe unseemliness to God.
