2 Wathesalonike 2
1 Ndugu, kuhusu kuja kwake Bwana wetu Yesu Kristo na kukusanyika kwetu pamoja mbele zake, tunawasihi,
We implore now you, brothers, by the coming of the Lord of us Jesus Christ and our gathering together unto Him
2 msiyumbishwe kwa urahisi wala msitiwe wasiwasi na roho wala neno au barua inayosemekana kuwa imetoka kwetu, isemayo kwamba siku ya Bwana imekwisha kuwako.
for not soon to be shaken you in mind (nor *N(k)O*) to be troubled, neither through spirit nor through word nor through letter as if through us, as that has been present the day of the (Lord. *N(K)O*)
3 Mtu yeyote na asiwadanganye kwa namna yoyote kwa maana siku ile haitakuja mpaka uasi utokee kwanza, na yule mtu wa kuasi adhihirishwe, yule ambaye amehukumiwa kuangamizwa kabisa.
No one you may deceive in not one way; that only unless shall have come the apostasy first and shall have been revealed the man (of lawlessness, *N(K)O*) the son of destruction,
4 Yeye atapingana na kujitukuza juu ya kila kitu kiitwacho Mungu au kinachoabudiwa, ili kujiweka juu katika Hekalu la Mungu, akijitangaza mwenyewe kuwa ndiye Mungu.
who is opposing and exalting himself above every [one] named god or object of worship so as for him in the temple of God (as god *K*) to sit down setting forth he himself that is God.
5 Je, hamkumbuki ya kwamba nilipokuwa pamoja nanyi niliwaambia mambo haya?
Surely you do remember that yet being with you these things I was saying to you?
6 Nanyi sasa mnajua kinachomzuia, ili apate kudhihirishwa wakati wake utakapowadia.
And now that which is restraining you know for to be revealed him in (his own *NK(o)*) time.
7 Maana ile nguvu ya siri ya uasi tayari inatenda kazi, lakini yule anayeizuia ataendelea kufanya hivyo mpaka atakapoondolewa.
The for mystery already is working of lawlessness, only [there is] the [one] restraining [it] at present until out of [the] midst he may be [gone];
8 Hapo ndipo yule mwasi atafunuliwa, ambaye Bwana Yesu atamteketeza kwa pumzi ya kinywa chake na kumwangamiza kabisa kwa utukufu wa kuja kwake.
And then will be revealed the lawless [one] whom the Lord (Jesus *NO*) (will execute *N(k)O*) with the breath of the mouth of Him and will annul by the appearing of the coming of Him;
9 Kuja kwa yule mwasi kutaonekana kana kwamba ni kutenda kazi kwake Shetani ambaye hutumia nguvu zote, ishara, maajabu ya uongo,
whose is coming according to [the] working of Satan in every power and in signs and in wonders of falsehood
10 na kila aina ya uovu kwa wale wanaoangamia kwa sababu walikataa kuipenda kweli wapate kuokolewa.
and in every deceit (*k*) of wickedness (in *k*) unto those perishing, in return for which the love of the truth not they received in order for to be saved them;
11 Kwa sababu hii, Mungu ameruhusu watawaliwe na nguvu ya udanganyifu, ili waendelee kuamini uongo,
And because of this (sends *N(k)O*) to them God a powerful delusion so that to believe they what [is] false,
12 na wahukumiwe wote ambao hawakuiamini ile kweli, bali wamefurahia uovu.
in order that may be judged (all *NK(o)*) those not having believed the truth but having delighted (in *k*) in unrighteousness.
13 Lakini imetupasa sisi kumshukuru Mungu daima kwa ajili yenu, ndugu mpendwao na Bwana, kwa sababu Mungu aliwachagua ninyi tangu mwanzo ili mwokolewe kwa kutakaswa na Roho kwa kuiamini kweli.
We ourselves however ought to give thanks to God always concerning you, brothers beloved by [the] Lord, that (has chosen *N(k)O*) you God (from [the] beginning *N(k)O*) unto salvation in [the] sanctification of [the] Spirit and [by] faith of [the] truth,
14 Kwa kusudi hili Mungu aliwaita kwa njia ya kuhubiri kwetu Injili, ili mpate kushiriki katika utukufu wa Bwana Yesu Kristo.
to this (also *n*) He called you through the gospel of us to [the] obtaining of [the] glory of the Lord of us Jesus Christ.
15 Hivyo basi, ndugu wapendwa, simameni imara na myashike sana yale mafundisho tuliyowapa ikiwa ni kwa maneno ya kinywa au kwa barua.
So then, brothers, do stand firm and do hold fast to the traditions that you were taught whether through word or through letter from us.
16 Bwana wetu Yesu Kristo mwenyewe na Mungu Baba yetu, aliyetupenda na kwa neema yake akatupatia faraja ya milele na tumaini jema, (aiōnios g166)
Himself now the Lord of us Jesus Christ and God (the *N(K)O*) Father of us, the [One] having loved us and having given [us] comfort eternal and hope good by grace, (aiōnios g166)
17 awafariji mioyo yenu na kuwaimarisha katika kila neno na tendo jema.
would He encourage your hearts and would He strengthen (you *k*) in every work and word good.
