San Lucas 23
1 Y levantándose todos fueron y lo llevaron ante Pilato.
Then the whole multitude of them arose, and led him vnto Pilate.
2 Y declararon contra él, diciendo: Este hombre, según nuestro conocimiento, ha estado alborotando a nuestra nación, diciéndoles que no paguen impuestos al César, diciendo que él mismo es Cristo, un rey.
And they began to accuse him, saying, We haue found this man peruerting the nation, and forbidding to pay tribute to Cesar, saying, That he is Christ a King.
3 Y Pilato le dijo: ¿Eres tú el Rey de los Judíos? Y él dijo en respuesta, tú lo dices.
And Pilate asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Iewes? And hee answered him, and sayd, Thou sayest it.
4 Y Pilato dijo a los principales sacerdotes y al pueblo: En mi opinión, este hombre no ha hecho nada malo.
Then sayd Pilate to the hie Priests, and to the people, I finde no fault in this man.
5 Pero se volvieron más violentos que antes, diciendo: Él ha causado problemas en el pueblo, enseñando en toda Judea desde Galilea hasta este lugar.
But they were the more fierce, saying, He moueth the people, teaching throughout all Iudea, beginning at Galile, euen to this place.
6 Pero al oír estas palabras Pilato dijo: ¿Es el hombre un galileo?
Nowe when Pilate heard of Galile, he asked whether the man were a Galilean.
7 Y cuando vio que estaba bajo la autoridad de Herodes, lo envió a Herodes, que estaba en Jerusalén mismo en ese momento.
And when he knewe that he was of Herods iurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, which was also at Hierusalem in those dayes.
8 Cuando Herodes vio a Jesús, se alegró muchísimo, pues durante mucho tiempo había deseado verlo, porque había tenido noticias suyas, y esperaba ver algunas maravillas hechas por él.
And when Herod sawe Iesus, hee was exceedingly glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard many things of him, and trusted to haue seene some signe done by him.
9 Y le hizo muchas preguntas, pero no dijo nada.
Then questioned hee with him of many things: but he answered him nothing.
10 Y los principales sacerdotes y los escribas estaban allí, haciendo declaraciones contra él violentamente.
The hie Priests also and Scribes stood forth, and accused him vehemently.
11 Y Herodes, con los hombres de su ejército, lo avergonzó y se burló de él, y vistiéndolo con túnicas esplendidas, lo envió de regreso a Pilato.
And Herod with his men of warre, despised him, and mocked him, and arayed him in white, and sent him againe to Pilate.
12 Y aquel día, Herodes y Pilato se hicieron amigos, porque antes se habían enfrentado unos a otros.
And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were enemies one to another.
13 Y Pilato mandó llamar a los principales sacerdotes, a los príncipes y al pueblo, y les dijo:
Then Pilate called together the hie Priests and the rulers, and the people,
14 Ustedes dicen que este hombre ha estado alborotando al pueblo: ahora yo, después de entrar en la cuestión ante ustedes, no veo nada malo en este hombre en relación con las cosas que han dicho contra él:
And sayd vnto them, Ye haue brought this man vnto me, as one that peruerted the people: and beholde, I haue examined him before you, and haue found no fault in this man, of those things whereof ye accuse him:
15 Y Herodes es de la misma opinión, porque él lo ha enviado de regreso a nosotros; porque, como verán, él no ha hecho nada por lo que pueda matarlo.
No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him: and loe, nothing worthy of death is done of him.
16 Y entonces le daré un castigo y lo dejaré ir.
I will therefore chastise him, and let him loose.
17 Porque estaba obligado que en el festival dejaría en libertad a un prisionero.
(For of necessitie hee must haue let one loose vnto them at the feast.)
18 Pero a gran voz dijeron todos los demás: mata a este hombre y libera a Barrabás.
Then all ye multitude cried at once, saying, Away with him, and deliuer vnto vs Barabbas:
19 Ahora este hombre estaba en la cárcel a causa de un ataque contra el gobierno en la ciudad, en el que había habido pérdidas de vidas.
Which for a certaine insurrection made in the citie, and murder, was cast in prison.
20 Y Pilato les volvió a decir que era su deseo dejar libre a Jesús.
Then Pilate spake againe to them, willing to let Iesus loose.
21 Pero clamando, dijeron: crucifícale! crucifícale! Crucifícale!
But they cried, saying, Crucifie, crucifie him.
22 Y él les dijo por tercera vez: ¿Por qué, qué mal ha hecho? No veo ninguna razón para matarlo: le daré un castigo y lo dejaré ir.
And he sayd vnto them the third time, But what euill hath he done? I finde no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him loose.
23 Pero ellos siguieron clamando en voz alta, crucifícale! Y ellos se salieron con la suya.
But they were instant with loude voyces, and required that he might be crucified: and the voyces of them and of the hie Priests preuailed.
24 Y Pilato dio su decisión por y les concedió su deseo.
So Pilate gaue sentence, that it should be as they required.
25 Y en respuesta a su pedido, dejó libre a ese hombre que había estado en la cárcel por actuar contra el gobierno y homicidio, y entregó a Jesús a la voluntad de ellos.
And he let loose vnto them him that for insurrection and murder was cast into prison, whome they desired, and deliuered Iesus to doe with him what they would.
26 Mientras se lo llevaban, tomaron a Simón de Cirene, que venía del campo, y lo obligaron a tomar la cruz en pos de Jesús.
And as they led him away, they caught one Simon of Cyrene, comming out of the fielde, and on him they layde the crosse, to beare it after Iesus.
27 Y un gran grupo de personas fue tras él, y de mujeres que hacían señales de dolor y llorando por él.
And there followed him a great multitude of people, and of women, which women bewailed and lamented him.
28 Pero Jesús, volviéndose a ellas, dijo: Hijas de Jerusalén, no lloren por mí sino lloren por ustedes mismas y por sus hijos.
But Iesus turned backe vnto them, and said, Daughters of Hierusalem, weepe not for me, but weepe for your selues, and for your children.
29 Porque vendrán días en que dirán: Bienaventuradas las estériles, que no han tenido hijos, cuyos cuerpos nunca han dado a luz, cuyos pechos nunca han dado leche.
For behold, the dayes wil come, when men shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombes that neuer bare, and the pappes which neuer gaue sucke.
30 Y dirán a los montes: Descienden sobre nosotros y a los collados, para que nos cubran.
Then shall they begin to say to the mountaines, Fall on vs: and to the hilles, Couer vs.
31 Porque si hacen estas cosas cuando el árbol está verde, ¿qué no harán con él seco?
For if they doe these things to a greene tree, what shalbe done to the drie?
32 Y otros dos, malhechores, fueron llevados con él para crucificarlos.
And there were two others, which were euill doers, led with him to be slaine.
33 Y cuando llegaron al lugar que se llama Gólgota, lo pusieron en la cruz, y los malhechores, uno a la derecha, y el otro a la izquierda.
And when they were come to the place, which is called Caluarie, there they crucified him, and the euill doers: one at the right hand, and the other at the left.
34 Y Jesús dijo: Padre, perdónalos, porque no saben lo que hacen. E hicieron división de su vestimenta entre ellos por la decisión del azar.
Then sayd Iesus, Father, forgiue them: for they know not what they doe. And they parted his raiment, and cast lottes.
35 Y la gente estaba mirando. Y los gobernantes se burlaban de él, diciendo: Él era un salvador de los demás; que haga algo por sí mismo, si él es el Cristo, el hombre escogido de Dios.
And the people stoode, and behelde: and the rulers mocked him with them, saying, He saued others: let him saue himselfe, if hee be that Christ, the Chosen of God.
36 Y los hombres del ejército se burlaron de él, vinieron a él y le dieron vino amargo,
The souldiers also mocked him, and came and offered him vineger,
37 Y diciendo: Si eres el Rey de los judíos, libérate.
And said, If thou be the King of the Iewes, saue thy selfe.
38 Y estas palabras fueron escritas sobre él, ESTE ES EL REY DE LOS JUDIOS.
And a superscription was also written ouer him, in Greeke letters, and in Latin, and in Hebrewe, THIS IS THAT KING OF THE JEWES.
39 Y uno de los malhechores en la cruz, con amargura, le dijo: ¿No eres tú el Cristo? Sálvate a ti y a nosotros de esto.
And one of the euill doers, which were hanged, railed on him, saying, If thou be that Christ, saue thy selfe and vs.
40 Pero el otro, protestando, dijo: ¿No tienes miedo de Dios? porque tú tienes parte en el mismo castigo,
But the other answered, and rebuked him, saying, Fearest thou not God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
41 Y con razón; porque tenemos la recompensa correcta de nuestros actos, pero este hombre no ha hecho nada malo.
We are in deede righteously here: for we receiue things worthy of that we haue done: but this man hath done nothing amisse.
42 Y él dijo a Jesús: acuérdate de mí cuando vengas en tu reino.
And he sayd vnto Iesus, Lord, remember me, when thou commest into thy kingdome.
43 Y Jesús le dijo: De cierto te digo, que hoy estarás conmigo en el paraíso.
Then Iesus said vnto him, Verely I say vnto thee, to day shalt thou be with me in Paradise.
44 Y ya era como la hora sexta; y toda la tierra estaba oscura hasta la hora novena;
And it was about the sixt houre: and there was a darkenes ouer all the land, vntill the ninth houre.
45 La luz del sol se apagó, y la cortina del Templo se partió en dos.
And the Sunne was darkened, and the vaile of the Temple rent through the middes.
46 Y Jesús, dando grandes voces, dijo: Padre, en tus manos doy mi espíritu; y cuando hubo dicho esto, abandonó su espíritu.
And Iesus cryed with a loude voyce, and sayd, Father, into thine hands I commend my spirit. And when hee thus had sayd, hee gaue vp the ghost.
47 Y cuando el capitán vio lo que se había hecho, alabó a Dios, diciendo: Sin duda, este era un hombre justo.
Nowe when the Centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Of a suretie this man was iust.
48 Y todo el pueblo que se había reunido para verlo, cuando vieron lo que se había hecho, volvieron y dieron señales de pesar.
And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things, which were done, smote their brestes, and returned.
49 Y todos sus amigos y las mujeres que vinieron con él desde Galilea, estaban esperando a la distancia, mirando estas cosas.
And all his acquaintance stood a farre off, and the women that followed him from Galile, beholding these things.
50 Ahora bien, había un hombre llamado José, un hombre de autoridad y un hombre bueno y recto él cual era miembro del concilio.
And beholde, there was a man named Ioseph, which was a counseller, a good man and a iust.
51 (Él no había dado su aprobación a su decisión o sus actos), de Arimatea, una ciudad de Judea, que estaba esperando el reino de Dios:
Hee did not consent to the counsell and deede of them, which was of Arimathea, a citie of the Iewes: who also himselfe waited for the kingdome of God.
52 Este hombre fue a Pilato e hizo una petición para el cuerpo de Jesús.
He went vnto Pilate, and asked the body of Iesus,
53 Y lo bajo, y envolviendolo en una tela de lino, lo puso en un sepulcro abierto en la roca para un cadáver; y nadie había usado nunca ese sepulcro.
And tooke it downe, and wrapped it in a linnen cloth, and laide it in a tombe hewen out of a rocke, wherein was neuer man yet laide.
54 Ahora era el día de preparación y el sábado día de reposo estaba para comenzar.
And that day was the preparation, and the Sabbath drewe on.
55 Y las mujeres que habían venido con él de Galilea lo siguieron, y vieron el lugar y cómo su cuerpo había sido sepultado;
And the women also that followed after, which came with him from Galile, behelde the sepulchre, and how his body was layd.
56 Y volvieron a casa y prepararon especias y perfumes; y en el día de reposo tomaron su descanso, de acuerdo con la ley.
And they returned and prepared odours, and ointments, and rested the Sabbath day according to the commandement.
