Isaías 34

1 Acércate, naciones, y oye; Toma nota, pueblos, que la tierra y todo lo que hay en ella oiga; El mundo y todos los que viven en él.

Come near ye nations to hear, And, ye races, attend, —Let the earth hear, and the fulness thereof, The world and all things produced therefrom:

2 Porque el SEÑOR está enojado con todas las naciones, y su ira está ardiendo contra todos sus ejércitos. Él las ha destruido por completo, las ha entregado a la matanza al.

That Yahweh hath wrath against all the nations, and indignation against all their host, —He hath devoted them to destruction He hath delivered them to slaughter;

3 Sus cuerpos muertos serán gruesos sobre la faz de la tierra, y su olor subirá, y las montañas fluirán con su sangre, y todas las colinas se convertirán en nada.

And their slain shall be cast out, And their carcases, the stench of them shall ascend, —And, the mountains, shall melt away with their blood.

4 Y los cielos se enrollarán como el rollo de un libro: y todo ejército del cielo caerán, como una hoja muerta de la vid, o un fruto seco de la higuera.

Then shall be dissolved all the host of the heavens, And the heavens shall roll up as a scroll, —Yea, all their host, shall fade—Like the fading and falling of a leaf from a vine, and Like what fadeth and falleth from a fig-tree.

5 Porque mi espada en el cielo está llena de ira; mira, está cayendo sobre Edom, para castigar a la gente, objeto de mi maldición.

For my sword hath been sated in the heavens, —Lo! upon Edom, shall it descend, Even on the people whom I have devoted to justice.

6 La espada del Señor está llena de sangre, está llena de sebo, de la sangre de los corderos y las cabras, con él sebo de los riñones del carnero: porque el Señor tiene un sacrificio en Bozra, y habrá una gran matanza en la tierra de Edom.

A sword, hath Yahweh—Glutted with blood Sated with fat, —With the blood of well-fed lambs and he-goats, With the fat of the kidneys of rams, —For, a sacrifice, hath Yahweh in Bozrah, Yea a great slaughter in the land of Edom;

7 Y los bueyes fuertes morirán junto con el ganado más pequeño. Y la tierra se empapará de sangre y el polvo se llenará de grasa y se hará ceniza.

Then shall buffaloes come down with them, And bullocks with bulls, —So shall their land be soaked with blood, And, their dust, with fat, shall be enriched.

8 Porque es el día del castigo del Señor, cuando él da pago por los males cometidos a Sión.

For a day of avenging, hath Yahweh, —A year of requitals for the quarrel of Zion.

9 Y sus arroyos se convertirán en aceite hirviendo, y su polvo en piedra ardiente, y toda la tierra se incendiará.

Then shall the torrents thereof be turned into pitch, And the dust thereof, into brimstone, —So shall her land become burning pitch:

10 No se apagará de día ni de noche; su humo subirá para siempre; será un desperdicio de generación en generación; Nadie pasará jamás por ella.

Neither night nor day, shall it be quenched, To times age-abiding, shall ascend the smoke thereof, —From generation to generation, shall it be waste, Never, never, shall any pass through it:

11 Pero las aves del desierto tendrán su lugar allí; Será una herencia para el búho el cuervo: y se extenderá sobre ella el cordel de destrucción y la plomada de desolación.

That the vomiting pelican and the bittern may possess it: And the great owl and the raven, dwell therein; Then will he stretch out over it The line of desolation, and The plummet of emptiness.

12 Llamarán a los nobles y sus grandes desaparecerán y dirán: allí ya no hay reino, y todos sus jefes habrán llegado a su fin.

Her nobles (but none, are, there)! unto royalty, will call, —All, all her princes, shall become nought.

13 Y aparecerán espinas y ortigas en sus palacios, y espinos en sus fuertes torres; y los zorros harán sus agujeros allí, y será un lugar de reunión para avestruces.

Then shall come up, in her palaces thorns Nettles and thistles in her fortresses, —And she shall become A home for wild dogs, An enclosure for ostriches;

14 Y las bestias de los lugares desolados se juntarán con los chacales, y los machos cabríos se clamarán unos a otros, incluso la lechuza nocturna vendrá y hará su descanso allí.

Then shall criers meet with howlers, And, the shaggy creature, unto his fellow, shall call, —Only, there, shall, the night-spectre, Make her settlement, And find for herself a place of rest:

15 Allí hará su nido el búho real y pondrá sus huevos allí, y juntará a su cría bajo su sombra; allí los buitres se unirán cada macho con su hembra.

There, shall, the arrow-snake, Make her nest and lay, And hatch and gather under her shadow, —Only, there, shall be gathered the falcons, every one with her mate.

16 Mira lo que está registrado en el libro del Señor: todos estos estarán allí, ninguno carecerá de su compañera; la boca del Señor ha dado la orden, y su espíritu los ha hecho venir juntos.

Seek ye out of the scroll of Yahweh, and read, Not, one from among them, is lacking, None, hath missed, her mate, —For, a mouth, hath, itself commanded, And, his spirit, hath itself gathered them:

17 Y ha echado la suerte, y por su mano ha medido con el cordel la tierra; será de ellos para siempre, su lugar de descanso de generación en generación.

Yea he himself, hath cast for them a lot, And his own hand, hath given to them a portion by line, —Unto times age-abiding, shall they possess it, To generation after generation, shall they dwell therein.
