2 Crónicas 3
1 Entonces Salomón comenzó la construcción de la casa del Señor en el monte Moriah en Jerusalén, donde su padre David había visto al Señor, en el lugar que David había preparado para ello, donde trillaba el grano Ornán, el Jebuseo.
Then Solomon began to build the house of Jehovah at Jerusalem on mount Moriah, where [Jehovah] appeared unto David his father, which he made ready in the place that David had appointed, in the threshing-floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
2 El edificio se inició en el segundo mes del cuarto año de su gobierno.
And he began to build in the second [day] of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.
3 Y Salomón puso la base de la casa de Dios en posición; según la medida anterior, tenía sesenta codos de largo y veinte codos de ancho.
Now these are the foundations which Solomon laid for the building of the house of God. The length by cubits after the first measure was threescore cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.
4 Y el pórtico frente a la casa tenía veinte codos de largo, tan ancho como la casa, y ciento veinte codos de altura, todos revestidos con el mejor oro.
And the porch that was before [the house], the length of it, according to the breadth of the house, was twenty cubits, and the height a hundred and twenty; and he overlaid it within with pure gold.
5 Y la casa mayor estaba cubierta con madera de ciprés, revestida con el mejor oro y adornada con diseños de palmeras y cadenas.
And the greater house he ceiled with fir-wood, which he overlaid with fine gold, and wrought thereon palm-trees and chains.
6 Y la casa se hizo hermosa con piedras de gran valor, y el oro era de Parvaim.
And he garnished the house with precious stones for beauty: and the gold was gold of Parvaim.
7 Toda la casa estaba chapada en oro, los soportes, los escalones, las paredes y las puertas; y las paredes estaban adornadas con querubines.
He overlaid also the house, the beams, the thresholds, and the walls thereof, and the doors thereof, with gold; and graved cherubim on the walls.
8 E hizo el Lugar Santísimo; tenía veinte codos de largo y veinte codos de ancho, como la casa más grande, y estaba revestido por todas partes con el mejor oro; Se usaron seiscientos talentos para ello.
And he made the most holy house: the length thereof, according to the breadth of the house, was twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits; and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents.
9 Y se usaron cincuenta siclos de oro para los clavos. Tenía todas las habitaciones altas chapadas en oro.
And the weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. And he overlaid the upper chambers with gold.
10 Y en el Lugar Santísimo mandó esculpir dos querubines, cubriéndolos de oro.
And in the most holy house he made two cherubim of image work; and they overlaid them with gold.
11 Sus alas extendidas tenían veinte codos de ancho; Un ala, de cinco codos de largo, tocando la pared de la casa, y la otra, del mismo tamaño, que se encuentra con el ala del otro querubín.
And the wings of the cherubim were twenty cubits long: the wing of the one [cherub] was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing was [likewise] five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.
12 Y de la misma manera, las alas de la otra, de cinco codos de largo, se estiraron, una tocando la pared y la otra encontrándose con el ala del primer querubín.
And the wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing was five cubits [also], joining to the wing of the other cherub.
13 Sus alas extendidas tenían veinte codos de ancho; se colocaron en posición vertical sobre sus pies, frente a la parte interior de la casa.
The wings of these cherubim spread themselves forth twenty cubits: and they stood on their feet, and their faces were toward the house.
14 E hizo el velo de azul, púrpura y rojo, del mejor lino, con bordados de querubines.
And he made the veil of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and wrought cherubim thereon.
15 Y delante de la casa hizo dos pilares, treinta y cinco codos de alto, con coronas en la parte superior de ellos, cinco codos de alto.
Also he made before the house two pillars of thirty and five cubits high, and the capital that was on the top of each of them was five cubits.
16 E hizo cadenas, como adornos para las columnas, y las puso en la parte superior de los pilares, y un centenar de granadas en las cadenas.
And he made chains in the oracle, and put [them] on the tops of the pillars; and he made a hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains.
17 Puso los pilares frente al Templo, uno en el lado derecho y otro en el izquierdo, nombrando el de Jaquin a la derecha y el de Boaz a la izquierda.
And he set up the pillars before the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left; and called the name of that on the right hand Jachin, and the name of that on the left Boaz.
