Salmos 64

1 Al Vencedor: Salmo de David. Escucha, oh Dios, mi voz en mi oración; guarda mi vida del miedo del enemigo.

“For the leader of the music. A psalm of David.” Hear my voice, O God! when I pray! Preserve my life from the terrors of the enemy!

2 Escóndeme del secreto consejo de los malignos; de la conspiración de los que obran iniquidad;

Hide me from the assembly of the wicked, From the brawling crowd of evil-doers!

3 que amolaron su lengua como cuchillo, y armaron por su saeta palabra amarga,

For like a sword they sharpen their tongues, Like arrows they aim their poisoned words,

4 para asaetear a escondidas al perfecto; de improviso lo asaetean, y no temen.

To shoot in secret at the upright; Suddenly do they shoot at him without fear.

5 Se afirman a sí mismos la palabra mala, tratan de esconder los lazos, y dicen: ¿Quién los ha de ver?

They prepare themselves for an evil deed; They commune of laying secret snares: “Who,” say they, “will see them?”

6 Escudriñan iniquidades, perfeccionan y ponen en efecto lo que inventaron en lo íntimo de cada uno, y en su corazón inventivo.

They meditate crimes: “We have finished,” say they, “our plans!” The heart and bosom of every one of them are deep.

7 Mas Dios los herirá con saeta; de repente serán sus plagas.

But God will shoot an arrow at them; Suddenly shall they be wounded.

8 Y harán caer sobre sí sus mismos consejos y acuerdos; se espantarán todos los que los vieren.

Thus their own tongues shall bring them down; All who see them will flee away.

9 Y temerán todos los hombres, y anunciarán la obra de Dios, y entenderán su obra.

Then will all men stand in awe, And declare what God hath done, And attentively consider his work.

10 El justo se alegrará en el SEÑOR, y se asegurará en él; y se alabarán en El todos los rectos de corazón.

The righteous shall rejoice, and trust in the LORD; All the upright in heart shall glory.
