Salmos 21

1 Jehová, en tu fortaleza se alegrará el rey; y en tu salud se regocijará mucho.

Unto the end. A psalm for David. In thy strength, O Lord, the king shall joy; and in thy salvation he shall rejoice exceedingly.

2 El deseo de su corazón le diste; y no le negaste lo que sus labios pronunciaron. (Selah)

Thou hast given him his heart’s desire: and hast not withholden from him the will of his lips.

3 Por tanto le adelantarás en bendiciones de bien: corona de oro fino has puesto sobre su cabeza.

For thou hast prevented him with blessings of sweetness: thou hast set on his head a crown of precious stones.

4 Vida te demandó, se la diste: longura de días, por siglo y siglo.

He asked life of thee: and thou hast given him length of days for ever and ever.

5 Grande es su gloria en tu salud: honra y hermosura has puesto sobre él.

His glory is great in thy salvation: glory and great beauty shalt thou lay upon him.

6 Porque le has bendecido para siempre: alegrástele de alegría con tu rostro.

For thou shalt give him to be a blessing for ever and ever: thou shalt make him joyful in gladness with thy countenance.

7 Por cuanto el rey confía en Jehová: y en la misericordia del Altísimo no titubeará.

For the king hopeth in the Lord: and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.

8 Alcanzará tu mano a todos tus enemigos: tu diestra alcanzará a los que te aborrecen.

Let thy hand be found by all thy enemies: let thy right hand find out all them that hate thee.

9 Ponerlos has como horno de fuego en el tiempo de tu ira: Jehová los deshará en su furor, y fuego los consumirá.

Thou shalt make them as an oven of fire, in the time of thy anger: the Lord shall trouble them in his wrath, and fire shall devour them.

10 Su fruto destruirás de la tierra: y su simiente de entre los hijos de los hombres.

Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth: and their seed from among the children of men.

11 Porque tendieron mal contra ti: maquinaron maquinación, mas no prevalecieron.

For they have intended evils against thee: they have devised counsels which they have not been able to establish.

12 Por tanto ponerlos has a parte: con tus cuerdas apuntarás a sus rostros.

For thou shalt make them turn their back: in thy remnants thou shalt prepare their face.

13 Ensálzate, o! Jehová, con tu fortaleza: cantaremos y alabaremos tu valentía.

Be thou exalted, O Lord, in thy own strength: we will sing and praise thy power.
