2 Corintios 1

1 Pablo, apóstol de Jesu Cristo por la voluntad de Dios, y el hermano Timoteo, a la iglesia de Dios que está en Corinto, con todos los santos que están por toda la Acaya.

Pavl an Apostle of JESVS Christ, by the will of God, and our brother Timotheus, to the Church of God, which is at Corinthus with all the Saints, which are in all Achaia:

2 Gracia a vosotros, y paz de Dios nuestro Padre, y del Señor Jesu Cristo.

Grace be with you, and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Iesus Christ.

3 Bendito sea el Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesu Cristo, el Padre de misericordias, y el Dios de toda consolación.

Blessed be God, euen the Father of our Lord Iesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort,

4 El que nos consuela en todas nuestras tribulaciones; para que podamos nosotros consolar a los que están en cualquiera angustia, con la consolación con que nosotros mismos somos consolados de Dios.

Which comforteth vs in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any affliction by the comfort wherewith we our selues are comforted of God.

5 Porque de la manera que abundan en nosotros las aflicciones de Cristo, así abunda también por Cristo nuestra consolación.

For as the sufferings of Christ abounde in vs, so our consolation aboundeth through Christ.

6 Y si somos atribulados, es por vuestra consolación y salvación, la cual es eficiente en el sufrir las mismas aflicciones que nosotros también padecemos; o si somos consolados, es por vuestra consolación y salvación.

And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and saluation, which is wrought in the induring of the same sufferings, which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and saluation.

7 Y nuestra esperanza de vosotros es firme, estando ciertos que como sois participantes de las aflicciones, así también lo seréis de la consolación.

And our hope is stedfast concerning you, in as much as we know that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.

8 Porque, hermanos, no queremos que ignoréis acerca de nuestra tribulación que nos fue hecha en Asia, que sobre manera fuimos cargados sobre nuestras fuerzas, de tal manera que aun dudábamos de la vida.

For brethren, we woulde not haue you ignorant of our affliction, which came vnto vs in Asia, howe we were pressed out of measure passing strength, so that we altogether doubted, euen of life.

9 Mas nosotros tuvimos en nosotros mismos sentencia de muerte, para que no confiásemos en nosotros mismos, sino en Dios, que levanta los muertos:

Yea, we receiued the sentence of death in our selues, because we shoulde not trust in our selues, but in God, which rayseth the dead.

10 El cual nos libró de tamaña muerte, y nos libra: en el cual esperamos que aun nos librará;

Who deliuered vs from so great a death, and doeth deliuer vs: in whom we trust, that yet hereafter he will deliuer vs,

11 Ayudándonos también vosotros con oración por nosotros, para que por el don alcanzado para nosotros por medio de muchas personas, por muchas también sean dadas gracias por nosotros.

So that ye labour together in prayer for vs, that for the gift bestowed vpon vs for many, thankes may be giuen by many persons for vs.

12 Porque nuestra gloria es esta, es a saber, el testimonio de nuestra conciencia, que en simplicidad y sinceridad de Dios, no en sabiduría carnal, mas en la gracia de Dios, hemos conversado en el mundo, y más con vosotros.

For our reioycing is this, the testimonie of our conscience, that in simplicitie and godly purenesse, and not in fleshly wisedome, but by the grace of God wee haue had our conuersation in the worlde, and most of all to you wardes.

13 Porque no os escribimos otras cosas de las que leéis, o también reconocéis; y espero que aun hasta el fin las reconoceréis:

For wee write none other thinges vnto you, then that ye reade or els that ye acknowledge, and I trust ye shall acknowledge vnto ye end.

14 Como también en parte nos habéis reconocido que somos vuestra gloria, como también vosotros sois la nuestra, en el día del Señor Jesús.

Euen as ye haue acknowledged vs partly, that we are your reioycing, euen as ye are ours, in the day of our Lord Iesus.

15 Y en esta confianza quise primero venir a vosotros, porque tuvieseis otro segundo beneficio:

And in this confidence was I minded first to come vnto you, that ye might haue had a double grace,

16 Y pasar por vosotros a Macedonia; y de Macedonia venir otra vez a vosotros, y ser llevado por vosotros a Judea.

And to passe by you into Macedonia, and to come againe out of Macedonia vnto you, and to be led foorth towarde Iudea of you.

17 Así que pretendiendo esto, ¿usé quizá de liviandad? ¿o lo que pienso hacer, piénsolo según la carne, para que haya en mí sí, sí, y no, no?

When I therefore was thus minded, did I vse lightnesse? or minde I those thinges which I minde, according to the flesh, that with me should be, Yea, yea, and Nay, nay?

18 Antes como Dios es fiel, nuestra palabra para con vosotros no ha sido sí y no.

Yea, God is faithfull, that our worde towarde you was not Yea, and Nay.

19 Porque el Hijo de Dios, Jesu Cristo, que por nosotros ha sido entre vosotros predicado por mí, y Silvano, y Timoteo, no ha sido sí y no; mas en él ha sido sí.

For the Sonne of God Iesus Christ, who was preached among you by vs, that is, by me, and Siluanus, and Timotheus, was not Yea, and Nay: but in him it was Yea.

20 Porque todas las promesas de Dios son en él sí, y en él Amén para gloria de Dios por nosotros.

For all the promises of God in him are Yea, and are in him Amen, vnto the glorie of God through vs.

21 Y el que nos confirma con vosotros en Cristo, y el que nos ungió, es Dios:

And it is God which stablisheth vs with you in Christ, and hath anoynted vs.

22 El cual también nos selló, y nos dio las arras del Espíritu en nuestros corazones.

Who hath also sealed vs, and hath giuen the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

23 Mas yo llamo a Dios por testigo sobre mi alma, de que por perdonaros, no he venido hasta ahora a Corinto:

Nowe, I call God for a recorde vnto my soule, that to spare you, I came not as yet vnto Corinthus.

24 No que nos enseñoreamos de vuestra fe; antes somos ayudadores de vuestro gozo, porque por la fe estáis en pie.

Not that wee haue dominion ouer your faith, but wee are helpers of your ioy: for by faith yee stande.
