San Lucas 10
1 Después de esto, el Señor designó también a otros setenta, y los envió de dos en dos delante de él a todas las ciudades y lugares a los que iba a llegar.
And, after these things, the Lord appointed seventy two others, and sent them forth, two and two before his face, into every city and place whither, he himself, was about to come.
2 Y les dijo: “La mies es abundante, pero los obreros son pocos. Rogad, pues, al Señor de la mies que envíe obreros a su mies.
And he was saying unto them—The harvest, indeed, is, great, but, the labourers, few; beg ye, therefore, of the Lord of the harvest, that he would thrust forth, labourers, into his harvest.
3 Seguid vuestro camino. He aquí que os envío como corderos en medio de lobos.
Withdraw! Lo! I send you forth as lambs amid wolves.
4 No lleven bolso, ni cartera, ni sandalias. No saluden a nadie en el camino.
Be not carrying purse, or satchel, or sandals, and, no one along the road, salute ye;
5 En cualquier casa en la que entréis, decid primero: “Paz a esta casa”.
And, into whatsoever house ye enter, First, say, Peace to this house!
6 Si hay un hijo de la paz, tu paz descansará en él; pero si no, volverá a ti.
And, if the son of peace be, there, your peace, shall rest upon it; but, otherwise, at least, unto you, shall it return.
7 Quédate en esa misma casa, comiendo y bebiendo lo que te den, porque el trabajador es digno de su salario. No vayas de casa en casa.
And, in the self-same house, abide ye, eating and drinking such things as they have; for, worthy, is the labourer, of his hire: be not removing from house to house.
8 En cualquier ciudad en la que entres y te reciban, come lo que te pongan delante.
And, into whatsoever city ye shall enter, and they bid you welcome, be eating such things as are set before you;
9 Sanad a los enfermos que estén allí y decidles: “El Reino de Dios se ha acercado a vosotros”.
And be curing the sick that are, therein, and be saying unto them—The kingdom of God hath drawn nigh upon you.
10 Pero en cualquier ciudad en la que entréis y no os reciban, salid a sus calles y decid:
But, into whatsoever city ye shall enter, and they do not welcome you, going forth into the broadways thereof, say ye:
11 ‘Hasta el polvo de vuestra ciudad que se nos pegue, lo limpiamos contra vosotros. Sin embargo, sabed que el Reino de Dios se ha acercado a vosotros’.
Even the dust that cleaveth unto us, out of your city, unto our feet, do we wipe off against you; nevertheless, of this, be taking notice—The kingdom of God hath drawn near.
12 Os digo que aquel día será más tolerable para Sodoma que para esa ciudad.
I tell you, for them of Sodom, in that day, more tolerable, will it be, than for that city.
13 “¡Ay de ti, Corazín! ¡Ay de ti, Betsaida! Porque si en Tiro y en Sidón se hubieran hecho las maravillas que se han hecho en vosotros, hace tiempo que se habrían arrepentido, sentados en cilicio y ceniza.
Alas for thee, Chorazin! Alas for thee, Bethsaida! Because, if, in Tyre and Zidon, had been done the works of power which have been down in you, of old, in sackcloth and ashes sitting, they would have repented.
14 Pero será más tolerable para Tiro y Sidón en el juicio que para vosotros.
Moreover, for Tyre and Zidon, more tolerable, will it be, in the judgment, than, for you.
15 Vosotros, Capernaum, que estáis exaltados hasta el cielo, seréis descendida al Hades. (Hadēs g86)
And, thou, Capernaum, —Unto heaven, shalt thou be uplifted? …Unto hades, thou shalt be brought down! (Hadēs g86)
16 El que os escucha a vosotros me escucha a mí, y el que os rechaza a vosotros me rechaza a mí. El que me rechaza a mí, rechaza al que me envió”.
He that hearkeneth unto you, unto me, doth hearken, and, he that setteth you aside, doth set, me, aside; and, he that setteth, me, aside, doth set aside, him that sent me.
17 Los setenta volvieron con alegría, diciendo: “¡Señor, hasta los demonios se nos someten en tu nombre!”
And the seventy [-two] returned, with joy, saying—Lord! even the demons, submit themselves unto us, in thy name!
18 Les dijo: “He visto a Satanás caer del cielo como un rayo.
And he said unto them—I was beholding Satan, when, like lightning, out of heaven, he fell!
19 He aquí que os doy autoridad para pisar serpientes y escorpiones, y sobre todo el poder del enemigo. Nada podrá haceros daño.
Lo! I have given you the authority—to be treading upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and, nothing, unto you, shall in anywise do harm;
20 Sin embargo, no os alegréis de que los espíritus se os sometan, sino alegraos de que vuestros nombres estén escritos en el cielo.”
Notwithstanding, in this, be not rejoicing—that, the spirits, unto you submit themselves; but be rejoicing—that, your names, are inscribed in the heavens!
21 En esa misma hora, Jesús se regocijó en el Espíritu Santo y dijo: “Te doy gracias, Padre, Señor del cielo y de la tierra, porque has ocultado estas cosas a los sabios y entendidos y las has revelado a los niños. Sí, Padre, porque así ha sido agradable a tus ojos”.
In the self-same hour, exulted he in the Holy Spirit, and said—I openly give praise unto thee, Father! Lord of heaven and earth! in that thou hast hid these things from the wise and discerning, and hast revealed them unto babes, —Yea, O Father! that, so, hath it become, a delight, before thee.
22 Volviéndose a los discípulos, dijo: “Todo me ha sido entregado por mi Padre. Nadie sabe quién es el Hijo, sino el Padre, y quién es el Padre, sino el Hijo, y aquel a quien el Hijo quiera revelarlo.”
All things, unto me, have been delivered up by my Father; and, no one, knoweth, who the Son is, save the Father, —and who the Father is, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son may be minded to reveal him.
23 Volviéndose a los discípulos, les dijo en privado: “Dichosos los ojos que ven lo que vosotros veis,
And, turning unto his disciples, privately, he said—Happy, the eyes, that see what ye see!
24 porque os digo que muchos profetas y reyes desearon ver lo que vosotros veis, y no lo vieron, y oír lo que vosotros oís, y no lo oyeron.”
For I tell you, Many prophets and kings, have desired to see what, ye, see, and they saw not, and to hear what ye hear, and they heard not.
25 He aquí que un abogado se levantó y le puso a prueba, diciendo: “Maestro, ¿qué debo hacer para heredar la vida eterna?” (aiōnios g166)
And lo! a certain lawyer, arose, putting him to the test, saying—Teacher! by doing what, shall I inherit, life age-abiding? (aiōnios g166)
26 Le dijo: “¿Qué está escrito en la ley? ¿Cómo la lees?”
And, he, said unto him—In the law, what is written? how dost thou read?
27 Respondió: “Amarás al Señor tu Dios con todo tu corazón, con toda tu alma, con todas tus fuerzas y con toda tu mente, y a tu prójimo como a ti mismo”.
And, he, answering, said—Thou shalt love the Lord thy God, out of all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might, and with all thine intention; and thy neighbour, as thyself?
28 Le dijo: “Has respondido correctamente. Haz esto y vivirás”.
And he said unto him—Rightly, hast thou answered: This, do, and thou shalt live.
29 Pero él, queriendo justificarse, preguntó a Jesús: “¿Quién es mi prójimo?”
But, he, wishing to justify himself, said unto Jesus—And, who is, my, neighbour?
30 Jesús respondió: “Un hombre bajaba de Jerusalén a Jericó, y cayó en manos de unos ladrones, que lo despojaron y golpearon, y se fueron dejándolo medio muerto.
And taking up [the question], Jesus said—A certain man, was going down from Jerusalem unto Jericho, and, with robbers, fell in, —who, stripping him, and inflicting, wounds, upon him, departed, leaving him, half dead.
31 Por casualidad, un sacerdote bajaba por ese camino. Al verlo, pasó por el otro lado.
And, by chance, a certain priest, was coming down by that road, and, seeing him, passed by, on the opposite side.
32 Del mismo modo, un levita, al llegar al lugar y verlo, pasó por el otro lado.
And, in like manner, a Levite also, coming down to the place, and seeing him, passed by, on the opposite side.
33 Pero un samaritano, que iba de camino, llegó donde él estaba. Al verlo, se compadeció,
But, a certain Samaritan, going on his journey, came down to him, and, seeing him, was moved with compassion;
34 se acercó a él y vendó sus heridas, echando aceite y vino. Lo montó en su propio animal, lo llevó a una posada y lo cuidó.
and, coming near, bound up his bruises, pouring thereon oil and wine, —and, setting him on his own beast, brought him into an inn, and took care of him.
35 Al día siguiente, cuando se marchó, sacó dos denarios, se los dio al anfitrión y le dijo: “Cuida de él. Lo que gastes de más, te lo devolveré cuando vuelva’.
And, on the morrow, throwing out two denaries, he gave them to the inn-keeper, and said—Take care of him, and, whatsoever thou shall further spend, I, when on my way back, will duly pay thee.
36 Ahora bien, ¿cuál de estos tres te parece que era prójimo del que cayó entre los ladrones?”
Which of these three, seemeth unto thee to have become, neighbour, unto him who fell among the robbers?
37 Dijo: “El que se apiadó de él”. Entonces Jesús le dijo: “Ve y haz lo mismo”.
And, he, said—He who dealt mercifully with him. And Jesus said unto him—Be taking thy journey, and, thou, be doing, in like manner.
38 Mientras iban de camino, entró en una aldea, y una mujer llamada Marta le recibió en su casa.
And, as they were journeying, he, entered into a certain village; and, a certain woman, named Martha, welcomed him into her house.
39 Ella tenía una hermana llamada María, que también se sentaba a los pies de Jesús y escuchaba su palabra.
And, she, had a sister, called Mary, who also, seating herself at the feet of the Lord, was hearing his word.
40 Pero Marta estaba distraída con muchos quehaceres, y se acercó a él y le dijo: “Señor, ¿no te importa que mi hermana me haya dejado sola para servir? Pídele, pues, que me ayude”.
But, Martha, was distracted about much ministering, and, coming near, said—Lord! carest thou not that, my sister, hath left me to be ministering, alone? Speak to her, then, that she help me.
41 Jesús le contestó: “Marta, Marta, te afanas y te preocupas por muchas cosas,
But the Lord, answering, said to her—Martha! Martha! thou art anxious and troubled about many things:
42 perouna cosa es necesaria. María ha elegido la parte buena, que no le será quitada”.
Of few things, is there need, or, of one; Mary, in fact, hath chosen, the good part, —one which shall not be taken away from her.
