2 Tesalonicenses 2
1 Ahora bien, hermanos, en cuanto a la venida de nuestro Señor Jesucristo y a nuestra reunión con él, os pedimos
Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and [by] our gathering to him.
2 que no os dejéis sacudir rápidamente el ánimo ni os turbéis, ni por espíritu, ni por palabra, ni por carta, como si fuera de nuestra parte, diciendo que el día de Cristo ya ha llegado.
That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Que nadie os engañe en modo alguno. Porque no será si no viene primero la rebelión, y se revela el hombre de pecado, el hijo de la destrucción.
Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Se opone y se levanta contra todo lo que se llama Dios o se adora, de modo que se sienta como Dios en el templo de Dios, erigiéndose en Dios.
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
5 ¿No os acordáis de que, cuando aún estaba con vosotros, os dije estas cosas?
Remember ye not, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 Ahora sabéis lo que le detiene, para que se manifieste a su tiempo.
And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 Porque el misterio de la iniquidad ya funciona. Sólo que ahora hay uno que lo detiene, hasta que sea quitado del camino.
For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now restraineth [will] restrain, until he be taken out of the way.
8 Entonces se manifestará el inicuo, a quien el Señor matará con el soplo de su boca y destruirá con la manifestación de su venida;
And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the spirit of his mouth, and will destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 aquel cuya venida es según la obra de Satanás con todo poder y señales y prodigios mentirosos,
[Even him], whose coming is after the working of Satan, with all power, and signs, and lying wonders,
10 y con todo engaño de iniquidad para los que se están perdiendo, por no haber recibido el amor de la verdad, para que se salven.
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 A causa de esto, Dios les envía un poderoso engaño, para que crean la mentira,
And for this cause God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 a fin de que sean juzgados todos los que no creyeron la verdad, sino que se complacieron en la injusticia.
That they all may be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
13 Pero estamos obligados a dar siempre gracias a Dios por vosotros, hermanos amados por el Señor, porque Dios os eligió desde el principio para la salvación mediante la santificación del Espíritu y la creencia en la verdad,
But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren, beloved by the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation, through sanctification of the Spirit, and belief of the truth:
14 a la que os llamó por medio de nuestra Buena Noticia, para obtener la gloria de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
To which he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15 Así que, hermanos, manteneos firmes y conservad las tradiciones que os hemos enseñado, ya sea de palabra o por carta.
Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
16 Ahora bien, nuestro Señor Jesucristo en persona, y Dios, nuestro Padre, que nos amó y nos dio el consuelo eterno y la buena esperanza por medio de la gracia, (aiōnios g166)
Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, who hath loved us, and hath given [us] everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, (aiōnios g166)
17 conforte vuestros corazones y os confirme en toda obra y palabra buena.
Comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work.
