< Ayuub 15 >
1 Markaasaa Eliifas kii reer Teemaan isagii u jawaabay, oo wuxuu ku yidhi,
Then responded Eliphaz the Temanite, and said:
2 War nin xigmad lahu miyuu ku jawaabaa aqoon aan waxba tarayn, Oo bal miyuu calooshiisa ka buuxiyaa dabaysha bari?
Should, a wise man, answer unreal knowledge? or fill, with the east wind, his inner man?
3 Miyayse ku habboon tahay inuu ku xaajowdo hadal aan faa'iido lahayn, Amase hadallo uusan innaba wanaag ku samayn karin?
Disputing with discourse that doth no good, or with speech, wherein is no profit?
4 Cabsida waad baabbi'isaa, Oo cibaadadana Ilaah hortiisa waad ka joojisaa.
But, thou, wouldst take away reverence, and wouldst attain unto meditation before GOD.
5 Waayo, afkaaga waxaa wax bara xumaantaada, Oo waxaad doorataa carrabka khaa'inka.
For thine own mouth would teach thine iniquity, and thou wouldst choose the tongue of the crafty.
6 Haddaba waxaa ku xukuma afkaaga oo aniga ma aha; Hubaal bushimahaaga qudhooda ayaa kugu marag fura.
Thine own mouth shall condemn thee, and, not I, And, thine own lips, shall testify against thee.
7 War ma ninkii binu-aadmiga ugu hor dhashaad tahay? Mase buuraha hortood baad soo dhalatay?
The first of mankind, wast thou born? Or, before the hills, wast thou brought forth?
8 War talada qarsoon oo Ilaah miyaad maqashay? Oo nafsaddaada miyaad xigmad ula hadhay?
In the secret council of GOD, hast thou been wont to hearken? Or canst thou attain for thyself unto wisdom?
9 War maxaad og tahay, oo aannan annagu ogayn? Oo bal maxaad garanaysaa, oo aannan garanayn?
What knowest thou, that we know not? [What] understandest thou, and the same, is not with us?
10 Waxaa nala jooga rag cirro leh iyo odayaal da' weyn, Oo aabbahaa ka sii fil weyn.
Both hoary and venerable, are among us, one mightier than thy father in days!
11 Ma kugu yar yihiin qalbiqabowjiska Ilaah Iyo erayga sida qabow kuula macaamiloodaa?
Too small for thee, are the consolations of GOD? or a word spoken gently with thee?
12 Bal maxaa qalbigaagu kuu fogeeyaa? Maxaase indhahaagu u gabgab leeyihiin?
How doth thine own heart carry thee away, and how thine eyes do roll!
13 Oo aad ruuxaaga Ilaah ugu soo jeedisaa, Oo erayo caynkaas ah aad afkaaga uga soo daysaa?
For thy spirit, replieth against GOD, and thou bringest forth—out of thy mouth—words!
14 Bal binu-aadmigu muxuu yahay oo uu daahir ahaado? Kii naagu dhashayse muxuu yahay oo uu xaq ahaado?
What is a mortal, that he should be pure? or that righteous should be one born of a woman?
15 Bal eeg, Ilaah ma aamino kuwiisa quduuska ah, Oo xataa samooyinku hortiisa daahir kuma aha.
Lo! in his holy ones, he putteth not confidence, and, the heavens, are not pure in his eyes:
16 Haddaba bal sidee buu u daahir ahaanayaa nin karaahiyo iyo wasakhaan ah, Oo dembiga sida biyo u cabbaa!
How much less when one is detested and corrupt, a man who drinketh in—like water—perversity.
17 Bal i maqal, wax baan ku tusayaa, Oo wixii aan arkay oo dhan waan kuu sheegayaa;
I will tell thee—hear me, Since this I have seen, I must needs declare it.
18 (Kuwaasoo rag xigmad lahu ay awowayaashood ka heleen, Oo ayan qarin,
Which, wise men, tell, and deny not [that which is] from their fathers.
19 Kuwaasoo dalka keligood la siiyey, Oo uusan shisheeye innaba dhex mari jirin.)
To them alone, was the earth given, and no alien passed through their midst:
20 Ninkii shar ahu sida naag u foolato oo kale ayuu u xanuunsadaa cimrigiisa oo dhan, Intaas oo ah sannadihii loo kaydiyey kuwa wax dulma.
All the days of the lawless man, he, doth writhe with pain, and, the number of years, is hidden from the tyrant;
21 Oo sanqadh cabsi leh ayaa dhegihiisa gasha, Oo wakhtiga barwaaqadana baabbi'iyuhu waa u soo iman doonaa.
A noise of dreadful things, is in his ears, In prosperity, the destroyer cometh upon him;
22 Isagu ma rumaysto inuu gudcurka ka noqon doono, Iyo inay seeftu isaga sugayso.
He hath no confidence to come back out of darkness, he, being destined to the power oft the sword;
23 Meel meel buu cunto u wareegaa isagoo leh, Meeday? Oo wuxuu og yahay inay maalinta gudcurku isaga u diyaar tahay.
A wanderer, he, for bread, [saying] Where [is it]? He knoweth that, prepared by his own hand, is the day of darkness;
24 Waxaa isaga bajiya dhib iyo cidhiidhi, Oo isagay uga adkaadaan sida boqor dagaal isu diyaariyey,
Distress and anguish shall startle him, It shall overpower him, like a king ready for the onset:
25 Maxaa yeelay, isagu gacantiisuu Ilaah ku taagay, Oo Ilaaha Qaadirka ah kibir buu ku caasiyaa.
Because he had stretched out—against GOD—his hand, and, against the Almighty, had been wont to behave himself proudly;
26 Wuxuu kula ordaa madax adag Iyo gaashaammadiisa biro ku taagan yihiin.
He used to run against him with uplifted neck, with the stout bosses of his bucklers;
27 Maxaa yeelay, wejiga ayuu ka cayilay, Oo bowdooyinkana baruur buu ku yeeshay,
For he had covered his face with his fatness, and had gathered a superabundance on his loins;
28 Oo wuxuu degay magaalooyin baabba' ah, Iyo guryo aan lagu hoyan, Oo u diyaarsan inay tuulmooyin burbur ah noqdaan.
And had inhabited demolished cities, houses, wherein men would not dwell, that were destined to become heaps.
29 Isagu taajir noqon maayo, oo maalkiisuna sii raagi maayo, Oo dhulkana ku sii waari maayo.
He shall not be rich, nor shall his substance continue, neither shall their shadow stretch along on the earth;
30 Isagu marnaba gudcur ka bixi maayo, Oo laamihiisa olol baa qallajin doona, Oo neefta afkiisa ayaa qaadi doonta.
He shall not depart out of darkness, his young branch, shall the flame dry up, and he shall depart, by the breath of his own mouth!
31 Yuusan wax aan waxba tarayn isku hallayn, isagoo iskhiyaaneeya, Waayo, wax aan waxba tarayn ayaa abaalgudkiisa ahaan doona.
Let no one trust in him that—by vanity—is deceived, for, vanity, shall be his recompense;
32 Wakhtigiisii ka hor buu dhammaan doonaa, Oo laantiisuna ma cagaaroobi doonto.
Before his day, shall it be accomplished, with, his palm-top, not covered with leaves;
33 Sida canabka ayuu midhihiisa ceedhiin iska ridi doonaa, Oo sida saytuunka ayuu ubaxiisa iska daadin doonaa.
He shall wrong—like a vine—his sour grapes, and shall cast off—as an olive-tree—his blossom.
34 Waayo, ururka cibaadalaawayaashu wuxuu ahaan doonaa wax aan waxba dhalin, Oo teendhooyinka kuwa laaluushka qaatana dab baa baabbi'in doona.
For, the family of the impious, is unfruitful, and, a fire, hath devoured the tents of bribery;
35 Iyagu waxay uuraystaan belaayo, xumaanna way dhalaan, Oo calooshooduna waxay diyaarisaa khiyaano.
Conceiving mischief, and bringing forth iniquity, yea, their inmost soul, prepareth deceit.
