< Yexesqeel 20 >

1 Oo sannaddii toddobaad, bisheedii shanaad, maalinteedii tobnaad ayaa odayaashii reer binu Israa'iil qaarkood u yimaadeen inay Rabbiga wax weyddiistaan, oo hortayday fadhiisteen.
Almost seven years [King Jehoiachin and the rest of us had been captured and taken to Babylonia], on the tenth day of the fifth [of that year], some Israeli elders came to me to [if I had a message for them] from Yahweh.
2 Haddana Eraygii Rabbiga ayaa ii yimid isagoo leh,
Then Yahweh gave me a message. [He said, ]
3 Wiilka Aadamow, odayaasha reer binu Israa'iil la hadal, oo waxaad ku tidhaahdaa, Sayidka Rabbiga ahu wuxuu leeyahay, Ma waxaad u timaadeen inaad wax i weyddiisataan? Sayidka Rabbiga ahu wuxuu leeyahay, Noloshaydaan ku dhaartaye inaanan waxaad i weyddiisataan maqlayn.
“You human, speak to the Israeli elders and say to them, ‘This is what Yahweh the Lord says: [say that] you have come to ask if there is any message from me [RHQ], but [as surely] as I am alive, I will [answer you if] you ask [to tell you] anything.’
4 Wiilka Aadamow, ma doonaysaa inaad iyaga xukuntid? Ma doonaysaa inaad iyaga xukuntid? Bal iyaga waxyaalihii karaahiyada ahaa ee awowayaashood ogeysii,
If you are [RHQ] willing to warn them, remind them of the detestable things that their ancestors did.
5 oo waxaad ku tidhaahdaa, Sayidka Rabbiga ahu wuxuu leeyahay, Waagii aan reer binu Israa'iil doortay, oo aan gacantayda kor ugu qaaday oo aan u dhaartay farcanka reer Yacquub, oo aan iyaga dalkii Masar dhexdiisa isku baray, oo aan ugu dhaartay anigoo ku leh, Anigu waxaan ahay Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ah,
Then say to them, ‘On the day that I chose [you] Israeli [to belong to me], with my hand lifted up, I made a solemn promise to your [while they were still] in Egypt. I said to them, “I am Yahweh, your God.
6 waagaas gacantaydaan kor ugu qaaday oo aan iyaga u dhaartay inaan dalkii Masar ka soo bixiyo oo aan soo geliyo dal aan iyaga u soo ilaaleeyey oo caano iyo malab la barwaaqaysan, kaasoo ah ammaantii dalalka oo dhan,
I will bring you out of Egypt and lead you to a land that I have chosen for you. It is a very fertile [IDM] and (very beautiful/more beautiful than any other) land.
7 oo waxaan iyaga ku idhi, Ninkiin kastaaba waxyaalaha karaahiyada ah ee indhihiisa ha iska xooro, oo sanamyada Masar ha isku nijaasaynina. Aniga ayaa ah Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ah.
Each of you must get rid of the disgusting idols that you loved [IDM], and do not defile yourselves [worshiping] those [that you saw] in Egypt. I, Yahweh your God, [am saying this to you].”’
8 Laakiinse way igu caasiyoobeen, oo inay i maqlaan ayay diideen. Ninkoodna waxyaalihii karaahiyada ahaa ee indhihiisa iskama xoorin, oo sanamyadii Masarna kama ay tegin. Markaasaan idhi, Cadhadaydaan ku kor shubi doonaa, si aan iyaga dalka Masar dhexdiisa xanaaqayga ugu dhammaystiro.
But they rebelled against me. They would not pay attention to me. They did not get rid of the disgusting idols they loved, and they did not reject those [that they saw] in Egypt. So because I was angry with them, I said that I would punish [MTY] them in Egypt.
9 Laakiinse magacayga daraaddiis ayaan u shaqeeyey, si uusan ugu nijaasoobin quruumihii ay dhex joogeen hortooda, waayo, iyagoo u jeeda ayaan iyaga isbaray, markaan dalkii Masar ka soo bixiyey.
But for the sake of my own reputation, I decided to do something in order that I would not be dishonored by the people of the nations who would see it when I brought my people out of Egypt.
10 Sidaas daraaddeed ayaan iyaga dalkii Masar ka soo bixiyey oo cidlada keenay.
Therefore I led them out of Egypt and brought them into the desert.
11 Oo waxaan iyaga siiyey qaynuunnadaydii, xukummadaydiina waan tusay, kuwaasoo ninkii sameeyaaba uu ku noolaanayo.
I gave them [all] my laws and decrees [DOU], in order that they would obey them, and as a result they would live [for a long time].
12 Oo weliba waxaan siiyey sabtiyadayda inay ahaadaan calaamad aniga iyo iyaga noo dhexaysa, si ay u ogaadaan inaan anigu ahay Rabbiga iyaga quduus ka dhiga.
Also, I established the Sabbath/rest days to be a symbol between us to show that I, Yahweh, had caused them to be set [from the other nations].
13 Laakiinse reer binu Israa'iil way igu caasiyoobeen intii ay cidlada dhex joogeen. Qaynuunnadaydii kuma ay socon, oo xukummadaydiina way diideen, kuwaasoo ninkii sameeyaaba uu ku noolaanayo, oo sabtiyadaydiina si weyn bay nijaas ka dhigeen. Markaasaan idhi, Anigu waxaan korkooda ku shubi doonaa cadhadayda inta ay cidlada dhex joogaan si aan u baabbi'iyo.
But the Israeli people rebelled against me in the desert. They did not obey my commands [DOU]; they rejected them, even though they tell people who obey them that they will live [for a long time], and they profaned the Sabbath days. So I said that I would get rid of them in the desert, and that would show that I was very angry with them.
14 Laakiinse magacayga daraaddiis ayaan u shaqeeyey, si uusan ugu nijaasoobin quruumihii ay dhex joogeen hortooda, waayo, iyagoo u jeeda ayaan soo bixiyey.
But [again], for the sake of my own reputation, I decided to do something else in order that I would not be dishonored/despised by [the people of] the nations who had seen me bring my people out of Egypt.
15 Oo weliba gacantaydaan kor ugu qaaday oo ugu dhaaray cidlada dhexdeedii inaanan geeynayn dalkii aan siiyey oo caanaha iyo malabka la barwaaqaysan oo ah ammaantii dalalka oo dhan,
I lifted up my hand and solemnly declared to them in the desert that I would not take them into the land that [had promised to] give them, a land that was very fertile [IDM] and (very beautiful/more beautiful than any other) land.
16 maxaa yeelay, xukummadaydii way diideen, oo qaynuunnadaydiina kuma ay socon oo sabtiyadaydii nijaas bay ka dhigeen, waayo, qalbigoodii wuxuu raacay sanamyadoodii.
The reason that I promised that was because they rejected and disobeyed all my laws [DOU] and (desecrated/refused to rest on) the Sabbath days. [They did that] because they [SYN] were devoted [worshiping] their idols.
17 Habase ahaatee ishaydii way u tudhay si aanan iyaga u baabbi'in, oo cidladiina kuma aanan dhex dhammayn.
But, I still pitied them and did not get rid of [all of] them in the desert.
18 Oo waxaan carruurtoodii ku idhi intii ay cidladii dhex joogeen, Qaynuunnada aabbayaashiin ha ku soconina, oo xukummadoodana ha dhawrina, oo sanamyadoodana ha isku nijaasaynina.
I said to their children, ‘Do not do the things that your parents continually did, or defile yourselves [worshiping] their idols.
19 Aniga ayaa ah Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ah. Qaynuunnadayda ku socda, oo xukummadayda xajiya oo sameeya,
I am Yahweh your God. Carefully obey [DOU] my laws and commands.
20 oo sabtiyadayda quduus ka dhiga, oo iyana waxay ahaan doonaan calaamad aniga iyo idinka inoo dhexaysa, si aad u ogaataan inaan anigu ahay Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ah.
Respect my Sabbath days, in order that by doing that [PRS], it will remind you that you belong to me, Yahweh your God.’
21 Laakiinse carruurtiina way igu caasiyoobeen, oo qaynuunnadaydiina kuma ay socon, xukummadaydiina inay sameeyaan ma xajin, kuwaasoo ninkii sameeyaaba uu ku noolaanayo, oo sabtiyadaydiina nijaas bay ka dhigeen. Markaasaan idhi, Cadhadaydaan ku kor shubi doonaa, si aan xanaaqayga iyaga ugu dhammaystiro cidlada dhexdeeda.
But their children [also] rebelled against me. They did not carefully obey my laws [DOU], [even though] the people who obey them will live [for a long time]; and they profaned the Sabbath days. So again I said that by getting rid of them in the desert, I would show that I was very angry with them.
22 Habase ahaatee gacantaydii waan ka soo celiyey, oo magacayga daraaddiis baan u shaqeeyey, si uusan ugu nijaasoobin quruumaha hortooda, waayo, iyagoo u jeeda ayaan soo bixiyey.
But I did not do that [IDM]. [Again, ] for the sake of my own reputation, I [decided to] do something in order that I would not be dishonored/despised by [the people of] the nations who had seen it when I brought my people out [of Egypt].
23 Oo weliba gacantaydaan kor ugu qaaday oo ugu dhaartay cidlada dhexdeedii inaan iyaga quruumaha ku kala dhex eryi doono, oo aan waddammada ku dhex firdhin doono,
I lifted up my hand and solemnly declared to them in the desert that I would cause them to be scattered among [many] nations [DOU],
24 maxaa yeelay, xukummadaydii ma ay samayn, laakiinse qaynuunnadaydii way diideen, oo sabtiyadaydiina nijaas bay ka dhigeen, oo indhahooduna waxay raaceen sanamyadii awowayaashood.
because they had rejected and disobeyed all my laws [DOU] and desecrated the Sabbath days, and they had eagerly [to worship] the idols that their [had worshiped].
25 Oo weliba iyagaan siiyey qaynuunno aan wanaagsanayn, iyo xukummo ayan ku noolaan karayn,
I also allowed them to obey laws that were not good, and laws that would not enable them to live [a long time if they obeyed them].
26 oo waxaan iyagii ku nijaaseeyey hadiyadahoodii, maxaa yeelay, dab bay u dhex marsiiyeen wixii maxal fura oo dhan, si aan iyaga cidla uga dhigo, si ay u ogaadaan inaan anigu Rabbiga ahay.
I allowed them to become unacceptable to me by their sacrificing their firstborn children in the fire. I did that in order that they would be horrified, and in order that they would know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].
27 Sidaas aawadeed Wiilka Aadamow, waxaad la hadashaa reer binu Israa'iil, oo waxaad ku tidhaahdaa, Sayidka Rabbiga ahu wuxuu leeyahay, Weliba taasay awowayaashiin igu caayeen, wayna igu xadgudbeen.
Therefore, you human, speak to the Israeli people. Say this to them, ‘This is what Yahweh the Lord says [to you]: This is one way that your ancestors dishonored me by turning away from me.
28 Waayo, markaan dalka keenay, kaasoo aan gacanta ugu qaaday oo aan ugu dhaartay inaan iyaga siin doono ayay arkeen kur kasta oo dheer iyo geed kasta oo weyn, oo waxay halkaas ku bixiyeen allabaryadoodii, oo qurbaankoodii iga cadhaysiiyey ayay halkaas ku soo bixiyeen, oo weliba halkaasay caraftoodii udgoonayd ku sameeyeen, oo halkaasay qurbaannadoodii cabniinka ku daadiyeen.
After I brought them into the land that I had solemnly promised to give to them, every time that they saw a high hill or a [big] green tree, they offered [to idols] there. They made offerings to them, and that caused me to become angry. They presented to those idols their fragrant burning incense, and poured out wine offerings to them.
29 Markaasaan ku idhi, Meesha sare oo aad tagtaan maxay tahay? Ilaa maantadan la joogo waxaa magaceeda la yidhaahdaa Baamaah.
[Then] I asked them, “Who [RHQ] [told you to worship at] a shrine like this, here on this hilltop?” So they are still called “hilltop shrines”.’
30 Sidaas daraaddeed waxaad reer binu Israa'iil ku tidhaahdaa, Sayidka Rabbiga ahu wuxuu leeyahay, Ma waxaad isu nijaasaysaan sidii awowayaashiin isu nijaaseeyeen oo kale? Oo ma waxaad ka daba gashaan waxyaalahooda karaahiyada ah sida naag ninkeed ka dhillowda oo kale?
Therefore, say this to the Israeli people [MTY]: 'This is what Yahweh the Lord says: “You are going to [RHQ] defile yourselves like your ancestors did by strongly [to worship] their disgusting [statues of idols].
31 Oo markaad hadiyadihiinna bixisaan, oo aad wiilashiinna dabka dhex marsiisaan ma waxaad isku nijaasaysaan sanamyadiinna oo dhan ilaa maantadan la joogo? Haddaba reer binu Israa'iilow, miyaan maqlaa waxaad i weyddiisanaysaan? Sayidka Rabbiga ahu wuxuu leeyahay, Noloshaydaan ku dhaartaye, Maqli maayo waxaad i weyddiisataan.
When you sacrifice your children in the fire, you are still continuing to make yourselves unacceptable to me [worshiping] your many idols. You Israeli people, should I allow you to [what I want you to do]? I, Yahweh the Lord, say that [as surely] as I am alive, [I will not answer] if you inquire.'
32 Oo waxa maankiinna soo galaana innaba ma ay ahaan doonaan, waayo, waxaad isku tidhaahdaan, Annagu waxaannu noqon doonnaa sida quruumaha kale, iyo sida qolooyinka waddammada deggan oo kale si aannu qoryo iyo dhagax ugu adeegno.
You say, ‘We want to be like the [other] nations, like the [other] people-groups in the world. We want to [idols made of] wood and [like they do].’ But what you want will never happen.
33 Sayidka Rabbiga ahu wuxuu leeyahay, Noloshaydaan ku dhaartaye, hubaal boqor baan idiinku ahaan doonaa gacan xoog badan iyo dhudhun fidsan iyo cadho la soo daadshay,
[I], Yahweh your Lord, say that [as surely] as I am alive, I will use my great power [DOU, MTY] to rule over you, and show that I am angry with you.
34 oo dadyowga waan idinka soo dhex bixin doonaa, oo waddammadii aad ku kala dhex firidheen waxaan idinkaga soo ururin doonaa gacan xoog badan iyo dhudhun fidsan iyo cadho la soo daadshay.
With my great power I will gather you from the places to which you have been scattered,
35 Oo waxaan idiin keeni doonaa cidlada dadyowga, oo halkaasaan fool ka fool idinkula xaajoon doonaa.
and I will bring you to a [that is surrounded] by [other] nations. There, while I am looking at you, I will judge you.
36 Sidii aan awowayaashiin cidladii dalka Masar ugula xaajooday oo kale ayaan idinkana idiinla xaajoon doonaa, ayaa Sayidka Rabbiga ahu leeyahay.
I will punish you, like I punished your ancestors in the desert near Egypt.
37 Oo waxaan idin soo marin doonaa usha hoosteeda, oo axdigaan idinku xidhi doonaa.
I will count you [MTY] as you walk by, and I will force you to obey the agreement that I made with you.
38 Markaasaan idinka dhex sooci doonaa caasiyiinta iyo kuwa igu xadgudba. Waxaan iyaga ka soo bixin doonaa dalka ay qariib ahaanta u joogaan, laakiinse dalka reer binu Israa'iil sooma ay geli doonaan, oo idinkuna waxaad ogaan doontaan inaan anigu Rabbiga ahay.
I will get rid of those people among you who rebel [DOU] against me. Although I will bring them out [Babylonia], where they are now living, they will not enter Israel. Then you will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].
39 Reer binu Israa'iilow, Sayidka Rabbiga ahu wuxuu leeyahay, Haddeydnan i dhegaysanayn, taga, oo haddan iyo hadda dabadeedba midkiin kastaaba sanamyadiisa ha u adeego, laakiinse waa inaydaan magacayga quduuska ah mar dambe nijaas kaga dhigin hadiyadihiinna iyo sanamyadiinna.
As for you Israeli people [MTY], this is what [I], Yahweh the Lord, say: 'Go and worship your idols now [IRO], each of you. But [afterwards], you will [surely] heed me and no longer dishonor me [MTY] by taking gifts to your idols.
40 Waayo, Sayidka Rabbiga ahu wuxuu leeyahay, Reer binu Israa'iil oo dhan kulligoodba dalka dhexdiisa ayay iigu adeegi doonaan buurtayda quduuska ah taasoo ah buurta dheer ee dalka reer binu Israa'iil, oo halkaasaan iyaga ku aqbali doonaa. Oo halkaasaan qurbaannadiinna iyo inta ugu horraysa ee hadiyadihiinna, iyo waxyaalihiinna quduuska ah oo dhanba idinku weyddiisan doonaa.
[I], Yahweh your Lord, declare that there on my sacred hill, [Zion], that high hill in Israel, you will bring gifts to me, and I will accept them. I will require you to bring to me gifts and offerings there, and your sacrifices that are dedicated to me.
41 Oo sida caraf udgoon baan idiin aqbali doonaa markaan dadyowga idinka soo dhex bixiyo oo aan waddammadii aad ku kala dhex firidheen idinka soo ururiyo, oo dhexdiinnaan quduus ku ahaan doonaa quruumaha hortooda.
When I bring you out from the [other] nations [DOU] to which you have been scattered, I will accept [as though you were] fragrant incense. By doing that, I will show the people of other nations that I have set you apart to belong to me.
42 Oo waxaad ogaan doontaan inaan anigu Rabbiga ahay, markaan idin dhex keeno dalka reer binu Israa'iil, kaasoo ah dalkii aan gacanta ugu qaaday awowayaashiin oo aan ugu dhaartay inaan iyaga siinayo.
Then, when I bring you into the land of Israel, the land that I solemnly promised with my hand lifted up that I would give to your ancestors, you will know that I, Yahweh, [have done it].
43 Oo halkaasaad jidadkiinnii iyo falimihiinnii aad isku nijaasayseenba ku soo xusuusan doontaan, oo waxyaalihiinnii sharka ahaa ee aad samayseen oo dhan ayaad isu nici doontaan.
And [in Israel] you will remember how you conducted your lives [previously, you will remember] the actions that caused you to become unacceptable to me, and you will hate/despise yourselves for all the evil things that you have done.
44 Sayidka Rabbiga ahu wuxuu leeyahay, Reer binu Israa'iilow, iyadoo aan ahayn sidii jidadkiinnii sharka ahaa ay ahaayeen, amase sidii falimihiinnii qudhunka ahaa ay ahaayeen, markaan magacayga aawadiis idiinku shaqeeyo ayaad ogaan doontaan inaan anigu Rabbiga ahay.
When I act toward you Israeli people to protect my reputation, and not [just] because of your evil deeds and corrupt behavior, you Israeli people will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].' That is what Yahweh the Lord declares.”
45 Oo haddana Eraygii Rabbiga ayaa ii yimid isagoo leh,
Yahweh gave me another message. He said,
46 Wiilka Aadamow, wejigaaga xagga koonfureed u sii jeedi, oo hadal xagga koonfureed ka gees ah ku hadal, oo waxaad wax ka sii sheegtaa kaynta duurka xagga koonfureed ku taal;
“You human, turn toward the south. Preach about what will happen to that dry land, to the forest there.
47 oo waxaad kaynta koonfureed ku tidhaahdaa, Rabbiga eraygiisa maqal: Sayidka Rabbiga ahu wuxuu leeyahay, Bal ogow, dab baan kugu dhex shidi doonaa, oo wuxuu wada baabbi'in doonaa geed kasta oo qoyan oo dhexdaada ku yaal iyo geed kasta oo qallalanba. Ololka ololayana lama demin doono, oo weji kasta oo tan iyo xagga koonfureed iyo ilaa xagga woqooyi joogaana isaguu ku guban doonaa.
Say to the forest in the [part of Israel]: 'Listen to this message that Yahweh the Lord is saying [about you]: “I am about to start a fire in your midst, and it will burn up all your trees, [both] the green trees and the withered/dry trees. Nothing will extinguish the blazing flames. And the fire will scorch the faces of everyone [who lives] in that area, from the south to the north.
48 Oo binu-aadmiga oo dhammuna waxay wada arki doonaan in aniga Rabbiga ahu aan dabkaas shiday, oo innaba lama demin doono.
Everyone will see that it is I, Yahweh, who have lit this fire, and no one will [be able to] put it out.” '”
49 Markaasaan idhi, Sayidow, Rabbiyow, waxay iga yidhaahdaan, Sow isagu masaalooyin kuma hadlin?
Then I said, “Yahweh, my Lord, [when I tell things like this to people, they do not believe me]. They say about me, ‘He is only telling parables.’”
