< Samuu'Eel Labaad 6 >
1 Markaasaa Daa'uud haddana soo ururiyey raggii reer binu Israa'iil oo la doortay oo dhan, waxayna ahaayeen soddon kun.
Then David chose 30,000 Israeli men and gathered them together.
2 Dabadeedna Daa'uud baa kacay, oo la tegey dadkii isaga la jiray ee ka yimid Bacale Yahuudah oo dhan, inay xaggaas ka soo qaadaan sanduuqii Ilaah, kaasoo lagu magacaabo Magaca, waxa weeye Magaca Rabbiga ciidanka ee dhex fadhiya keruubiimta.
He led them to the place in Judah [formerly] called Baalah, [now called Kiriath-Jearim]. They went in order to bring from there [to Jerusalem] the sacred chest, which had the name of Yahweh, the leader of the armies of [the angels in] heaven, written on it, and which had the [statues of the] winged creatures on top of it. Between those statues was where Yahweh spoke messages about ruling his people [MTY].
3 Oo sanduuqii Ilaah gaadhi cusub bay saareen, iyagoo ka soo bixiyey gurigii Abiinaadaab oo buurta ku yiil; markaasaa gaadhigii cusbaa waxaa waday Abiinaadaab wiilashiisii oo ahaa Cuusaah iyo Axiyoo.
The sacred chest was in the house of Abinadab, on top of a hill. They went there, and they put the chest on a new cart. Uzzah and Ahio, the two sons of Abinadab, were guiding [the oxen that were pulling the cart].
4 Oo sidaasay uga soo bixiyeen gurigii Abiinaadaab, oo buurta ku yiil, iyagoo wada sanduuqii Ilaah; oo Axiyoo ayaa sanduuqii hor maray.
Uzzah walked alongside the cart, and Ahio walked in front of it.
5 Daa'uud iyo reer binu Israa'iil oo dhammuna Rabbiga hortiisay ku cayaareen iyagoo haysta cayn kasta oo alaabta muusikada ah oo ah qori beroosh la yidhaahdo, oo alaabtaasu waxay ahaayeen kataarado, iyo shareerado, iyo dafaf, iyo shuguxshugux iyo suxuun laysku garaaco.
David and all the Israeli men were celebrating in God’s presence, singing with all their strength and [playing] lyres and harps, and beating tambourines, and clashing castanets and cymbals.
6 Oo markay yimaadeen meeshii hadhuudhka lagu tumi jiray oo Naakoon ayaa Cuusaah gacanta ku fidiyey sanduuqii Ilaah, wuuna qabtay; maxaa yeelay, dibidii sidday ayaa turunturootay.
But when they came to the place where Nacon threshed grain, the oxen stumbled. So Uzzah put his hand on the sacred chest to (steady it/prevent it from falling [off the cart]).
7 Markaasaa Rabbigu aad ugu cadhooday Cuusaah; oo Ilaahna halkaasuu ku dilay qaladkiisii aawadiis, oo sanduuqii Ilaah agtiisa ayuu ku dhintay.
Yahweh immediately became very angry with Uzzah, and he killed him right there alongside the sacred chest, because he had touched the chest, [and Yahweh had commanded that only the descendants of Levi who help the priests should touch the sacred chest].
8 Oo Daa'uudna taas buu ka xumaaday, maxaa yeelay, Rabbigu degdeg buu u qabtay Cuusaah, oo meeshaas magaceediina wuxuu u bixiyey Feres Cuusaah, oo ilaa maantadanna waa la yidhaahdaa.
David was angry because Yahweh had punished Uzzah. So ever since that time, that place has been called ‘The Punishment of Uzzah’.
9 Oo Daa'uudna Rabbiga wuu ka baqay maalintaas, oo wuxuu isyidhi, Sanduuqa Rabbigu sidee buu iigu imanayaa?
David was [also] afraid of [what else] Yahweh [would do to punish them], so he said, “(How can I take the sacred chest with me [to Jerusalem]?/I am afraid to take the sacred chest with me [to Jerusalem].)” [RHQ]
10 Sidaas daraaddeed Daa'uud wuu diiday inuu wado sanduuqii Rabbiga oo uu geeyo magaaladii Daa'uud; laakiinse Daa'uud sanduuqii buu gees ugu leexshay gurigii Cobeed Edoom kii reer Gad.
So he did not want to take the sacred chest to Jerusalem. Instead, they took it to another place; they took it to the house of Obed-Edom, from Gath [city].
11 Oo saddex bilood ayaa sanduuqii Rabbigu gurigii Cobeed Edoom yiil; oo Rabbiguna wuu barakeeyey Cobeed Edoom iyo reerkiisii oo dhanba.
They left the sacred chest in the house of Obed-Edom for three months, and [during that time] Yahweh blessed Obed-Edom and his family.
12 Markaasaa Daa'uud loo soo sheegay oo lagu yidhi, Rabbigu waa barakeeyey Cobeed Edoom reerkiisii, iyo wixii uu lahaa oo dhan, taasuna waa sanduuqa Ilaah aawadiis. Markaasaa Daa'uud tegey oo sanduuqii Ilaah ka soo qaaday gurigii Cobeed Edoom oo farax ku soo geliyey magaaladii Daa'uud.
Later, people told David, “Yahweh has blessed Obed-Edom and his family because [he is taking care] of the sacred chest!” When David heard that, he [and some other men] went to Obed-Edom’s house, and very joyfully brought the sacred chest from there to Jerusalem.
13 Oo markii kuwii sanduuqa Rabbiga siday ay lix tallaabo socdeen wuxuu allabari u qalay dibi iyo nef kale oo shilis.
[This time, descendants of Levi] were carrying the sacred chest, but when they had walked only six steps, they stopped, and there David killed a bull and a fat calf, and offered them to Yahweh for a sacrifice.
14 Oo Daa'uudna Rabbiga hortiisuu xooggiisii oo dhan ugu cayaaray, wuxuuna guntanaa eefod dhar wanaagsan laga sameeyey.
David was wearing [only] a linen cloth wrapped around his waist, and was dancing very energetically to honor Yahweh.
15 Sidaasay Daa'uud iyo reer binu Israa'iil oo dhammu u soo qaadeen sanduuqii Rabbiga, iyagoo qaylinaya oo buunna ka dhawaajinaya.
David and the Israeli men took the sacred chest up [to Jerusalem], shouting [loudly] and blowing trumpets.
16 Oo markuu sanduuqii Rabbigu soo galay magaaladii Daa'uud ayaa Miikaal oo ahayd ina Saa'uul dariishadda wax ka fiirisay, oo waxay aragtay Boqor Daa'uud oo boodboodaya oo Rabbiga hortiisa ku cayaaraya; markaasay quudhsatay.
While they were carrying the sacred chest into the city, [David’s wife] Michal, who was Saul’s daughter, looked out the window [of her house]. She saw King David leaping and dancing to honor Yahweh. So she was disgusted with him.
17 Sanduuqii Rabbigana gudahay soo geliyeen oo meeshiisii bay dhigeen, taasoo ahayd teendhadii Daa'uud u dhisay badhtankeeda; kolkaasaa Daa'uud Rabbiga hortiisa ku bixiyey qurbaanno la gubo iyo qurbaanno nabaadiino.
They brought the sacred chest into the tent that David had erected for it. Then David gave to Yahweh offerings to be completely burned [on an altar], and other offerings to maintain fellowship with Yahweh.
18 Oo Daa'uudna markuu dhammeeyey qurbaankii la gubayay iyo qurbaannadii nabaadiinada ee uu bixinayay ayuu dadkii ugu duceeyey magicii Rabbiga ciidammada.
When David had finished offering those sacrifices, he asked Yahweh, the Commander of the armies [of the angels], to bless the people.
19 Markaasuu wuxuu dadkii oo dhan, iyo xataa dadkii badnaa oo reer binu Israa'iil oo dhan, rag iyo dumarba, mid kasta siiyey xabbad kibis ah, iyo cad hilib ah, iyo fud sabiib ah. Markaasaa dadkii oo dhan mid waluba gurigiisii tegey.
He also distributed food to all the people. To each Israeli man and woman he gave a loaf of bread, some meat, and a raisin cake. Then all the people returned to their homes.
20 Markaasaa Daa'uud u noqday inuu reerkiisii u duceeyo. Oo Miikaal oo ahayd ina Saa'uul ayaa u soo baxday inay Daa'uud ka hor timaado, oo waxay ku tidhi, Boqorka reer binu Israa'iil qurux badnaa maanta, kaasoo maanta isku hor qaawiyey gabdhihii addoommadiisa sida waxmatarayaasha midkood isugu qaawiyo oo kale!
When David went home to [ask Yahweh to] bless his family, his wife Michal came out to meet him. She said to him, “Maybe you, the king of Israel, [think that you] [IRO] were honoring yourself today, but really, you acted like a fool, uncovering yourself while the female servants of your officials were watching!”
21 Markaasaa Daa'uud Miikaal ku yidhi, Waxay ahayd Rabbiga hortiisa, kii iga doortay aabbahaa iyo reerkiisii oo dhan, oo iga dhigay amiir u taliya dadka Rabbiga, kuwaas oo ah reer binu Israa'iil; oo sidaas daraaddeed ayaan Rabbiga hortiisa ugu cayaarayaa.
David replied to Michal, “[I was doing that] to honor Yahweh, who chose me instead of your father and other members of his family, to be the king of the Israeli people, the people who belong to Yahweh. And I will [continue to] dance to honor Yahweh!
22 Oo weliba intaas waan ka sii liidanayaa, oo waan isla xumaanayaa, laakiinse gabdhihii aad ka hadashay xaggooda derejaan ka lahaan doonaa.
[Even though you think that what I did] was disgraceful, I will continue to do it even more. You may despise me [because of what I did], but the women whom you were talking about will honor me!”
23 Oo Miikaal oo ahayd ina Saa'uulna ilaa maalintii ay dhimatay ilmo ma dhalin.
[As a result, ] Saul’s daughter Michal never gave birth to any children.
