1 Markaasaa Ruuxii Ilaah wuxuu ku soo degay Casaryaah oo ahaa ina Codeed,
And the spirit of God came on Azariah, the son of Oded;
2 oo intuu u soo baxay inuu Aasaa ka hor tago ayuu ku yidhi, Aasaa, iyo dadkii Yahuudah iyo Benyaamiin oo dhammow, i maqla. Rabbigu wuu idinla jiraa intaad isaga la jirtaan, oo haddaad isaga doondoontaanna waad heli doontaan, laakiinse haddaad isaga ka tagtaan, isna wuu idinka tegi doonaa.
And he came face to face with Asa and said to him, Give ear to me, Asa and all Judah and Benjamin: the Lord is with you while you are with him; if your heart's desire is for him, he will be near you, but if you give him up, he will give you up.
3 Haddaba intii wakhti dheer ah dadka Israa'iil ma ay haysan Ilaaha runta ah, iyo wadaad iyaga wax bara, iyo sharci toona,
Now for a long time Israel has been without the true God, and without a teaching priest and without the law;
4 laakiinse markay cidhiidhi galeen ayay u soo jeesteen oo doondooneen Rabbiga ah Ilaaha reer binu Israa'iil, wayna heleen.
But when in their trouble they were turned to the Lord, the God of Israel, searching after him, he let their search be rewarded.
5 Oo waayahaas oo dhanna nabadu uma jirin kii dibadda u baxa iyo kii gudaha soo gala toona, laakiinse dadka dalalka deggan oo dhan waxaa kor saarnaa dhibaatooyin waaweyn.
In those times there was no peace for him who went out or for him who came in, but great trouble was on all the people of the lands.
6 Oo iyagii way kala burbureen, oo quruumuba quruun bay ka gees noqotay, magaalona magaalay ka gees noqotay, waayo, Ilaah baa ku dhibay cidhiidhi oo dhan.
And they were broken by divisions, nation against nation and town against town, because God sent all sorts of trouble on them.
7 Laakiinse idinku xoogaysta oo gacmihiinnu yay debcin, waayo, shuqulkiinna waa laydiinka abaalgudi doonaa.
But be you strong and let not your hands be feeble, for your work will be rewarded.
8 Oo Aasaana markuu maqlay erayadaas iyo waxsheegiddii Nebi Codeed ayuu sii dhiirranaaday, oo dalka Yahuudah iyo kan Benyaamiin oo dhan iyo magaalooyinkii uu ka qabsaday dalka buuraha leh oo reer Efrayim wuu ka wada fogeeyey karaahiyadii, oo weliba wuxuu cusboonaysiiyey meeshii allabariga ee Rabbiga oo ku hor tiil balbalada Rabbiga.
And Asa, hearing these words of Azariah, the son of Oded the prophet, took heart and put away all the disgusting things out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the towns which he had taken from the hill-country of Ephraim; and he made new again the altar of the Lord in front of the covered way of the Lord's house.
9 Markaasuu soo wada shiriyey dadkii Yahuudah iyo dadkii Benyaamiin iyo kuwii iyaga la degganaa oo ka yimid reer Efrayim iyo reer Manaseh iyo reer Simecoonba, waayo, isagay ku soo darmeen iyagoo tiro badan, markay arkeen in Rabbiga Ilaahiisa ahu uu isaga la jiro.
And he got together all Judah and Benjamin and those of Ephraim and Manasseh and Simeon who were living with them; for numbers of them came to him out of Israel when they saw that the Lord his God was with him.
10 Sidaas daraaddeed waxay ku soo urureen Yeruusaalem sannaddii shan iyo tobnaad oo boqortooyadii Aasaa bisheedii saddexaad.
So they came together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the rule of Asa.
11 Oo maalintaas waxay Rabbiga ugu allabaryeen toddoba boqol oo dibi iyo toddoba kun oo neef oo ido ah oo ka mid ah dhicii ay keeneen.
And that day they made offerings to the Lord of the things they had taken in war, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep.
12 Oo waxay axdi ku galeen inay Rabbiga Ilaaha awowayaashooda ah ku doondoonaan qalbigooda oo dhan iyo naftooda oo dhan,
And they made an agreement to be true to the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and all their soul;
13 iyo in la dilo ku alla kii aan doondoonin Rabbiga ah Ilaaha reer binu Israa'iil, hadduu yar yahay iyo hadduu weyn yahay, ama hadduu nin yahay iyo hadday naag tahayba.
And that anyone, small or great, man or woman, who was not true to the Lord, the God of Israel, would be put to death.
14 Oo waxay Rabbiga ugu dhaarteen cod weyn iyo qaylo iyo turumbooyin iyo buunan.
And they made an oath to the Lord, with a loud voice, sounding wind-instruments and horns.
15 Oo dadkii Yahuudah oo dhammu way ku reyreeyeen dhaartii, maxaa yeelay, qalbigooda oo dhan ayay ku dhaarteen, oo waxay isaga ku doondooneen xiisahooda oo dhan, wayna heleen, oo Rabbiguna hareerahooda oo dhan wuu ka nasiyey.
And all Judah was glad because of the oath, for they had taken it with all their heart, turning to the Lord with all their desire; and he was with them and gave them rest on every side.
16 Oo weliba Macakaah oo ahayd Boqor Aasaa hooyadiis boqoradnimadii wuu ka dejiyey, maxaa yeelay, waxay sanam karaahiya ah u samaysay geed Asheeraah, oo Aasaa sanamkeedii wuu jebiyey oo wuxuu ka dhigay boodh, wuxuuna ku gubay durdurka Qidroon agtiisa.
And Asa would not let Maacah, his mother, be queen, because she had made a disgusting image for Asherah; and Asa had her image cut down and broken up and burned by the stream Kidron.
17 Laakiinse meelihii sarsare dalka Israa'iil lagama baabbi'in, habase yeeshee Aasaa qalbigiisu wuu qummanaa cimrigiisii oo dhan.
But the high places were not taken away out of Israel; but still the heart of Asa was true to the Lord all his life.
18 Oo gurigii Ilaah wuxuu soo geliyey alaabtii aabbihiis quduuska ka dhigay iyo alaabtii uu isaga qudhiisu quduuska ka dhigay, waxayna ahayd lacag iyo dahab iyo weelal.
He took into the house of God all the things which his father had made holy and those which he himself had made holy, silver and gold and vessels.
19 Oo dagaal dambena ma jirin ilaa sannaddii shan iyo soddonaad ee Aasaa boqornimadiisii.
And there was no more war till the thirty-fifth year of the rule of Asa.
