1 Haddaba reer Falastiin waxay la dirireen reer binu Israa'iil, oo raggii reer binu Israa'iilna way ka carareen reer Falastiin, oo Buur Gilboca ayay ku daateen iyagoo la laayay.
Now the Philistims fought against Israel, and the me of Israel fled away from ye Philistims, and they fell downe wounded in mount Gilboa.
2 Oo reer Falastiinna aad bay u eryadeen Saa'uul iyo wiilashiisii, markaasaa reer Falastiin waxay dileen Yoonaataan, iyo Abiinaadaab, iyo Melkiishuuca oo ahaa Saa'uul wiilashiisii.
And the Philistims preassed sore vpon Saul and his sonnes, and slewe Ionathan, and Abinadab, and Malchishua Sauls sonnes.
3 Oo dagaalkiina aad buu ugu sii kululaaday Saa'uul, oo waxaa isagii gaadhay qaansoleydii, oo isna qaansoleydii aawadeed ayuu dhib badan ula kulmay.
And when the battel went sore against Saul, the archers and bowmen hit him, and hee was sore wounded of the archers.
4 Markaasaa Saa'uul wuxuu kii hubka u siday ku yidhi, War seeftaada la soo bax oo iga mudhbixi, waaba intaasoo buuryoqabyadanu yimaadaan oo ay intay seef iga mudhbixiyaan i caayaane. Laakiinse kii hubka u siday wuu diiday, waayo, aad buu u cabsaday. Sidaas daraaddeed Saa'uul wuxuu qaatay seeftiisii, markaasuu ku dul dhacay.
Then saide Saul vnto his armour bearer, Drawe out thy sworde, and thrust mee through therewith, lest the vncircumcised come and thrust me through and mocke me: but his armour bearer would not, for hee was sore afraid. Therefore Saul tooke a sworde and fell vpon it.
5 Oo kii hubka u sidayna markuu arkay in Saa'uul dhintay, isna wuxuu ku dul dhacay seeftiisii, wuuna la dhintay.
And when his armour bearer sawe that Saul was dead, he fell likewise vpon his sword, and dyed with him.
6 Sidaas daraaddeed maalintaas waxaa wada dhintay Saa'uul, iyo saddexdiisii wiil, iyo kii hubka u siday, iyo raggiisii oo dhan.
So Saul dyed, and his three sonnes, and his armour bearer, and all his men that same day together.
7 Oo raggii reer binu Israa'iil oo dooxadii dhankeeda kale joogay, iyo kuwii Webi Urdun shishadiisa joogay, markay arkeen in raggii reer binu Israa'iil carareen oo Saa'uul iyo wiilashiisii ay dhinteen ayay magaalooyinkii ka tageen oo carareen; markaasaa reer Falastiin yimaadeen oo iska degeen.
And when the men of Israel that were on the other side of the valley, and they of the other side Iorden saw that the men of Israel were put to flight, and that Saul and his sonnes were dead, then they left the cities, and ran away: and the Philistims came and dwelt in them.
8 Oo maalintii dambe markay reer Falastiin u yimaadeen inay dharka ka furtaan kuwii la dilay waxay heleen Saa'uul iyo saddexdiisii wiil oo Buur Gilboca ku dhintay.
And on the morowe when the Philistims were come to spoyle them that were slaine, they founde Saul and his three sonnes lying in mount Gilboa,
9 Markaasay madaxii ka gooyeen, oo hubkiisiina way ka furteen, oo waxay u cid direen dalkii reer Falastiin oo ku wareegsanaa inay u wargeeyaan gurigii sanamyadooda iyo dadkiiba.
And they cut off his head, and stripped him out of his armour, and sent into the land of ye Philistims on euery side, that they should publish it in the temple of their idoles, and among the people.
10 Oo hubkiisiina gurigii Cashtarod ayay dhigeen, meydkiisiina derbigii Beytshaan bay ku xidheen.
And they layed vp his armour in the house of Ashtaroth, but they hanged vp his body on the wall of Beth-shan.
11 Oo dadkii Yaabeesh Gilecaad degganaa markay maqleen waxyaalihii ay reer Falastiin Saa'uul ku sameeyeen,
When the inhabitants of Iabesh Gilead heard, what the Philistims had done to Saul,
12 waxaa kacay raggii xoogga lahaa oo dhan, oo habeenkii oo dhan ayay sii guuraynayeen, markaasay Beytshaan derbigiisii ka soo qaadeen Saa'uul meydkiisii iyo meydadkii wiilashiisa, kolkaasay yimaadeen Yaabeesh, oo halkaasay ku gubeen.
Then they arose (as many as were strong men) and went all night, and tooke the body of Saul, and the bodies of his sonnes, from the wall of Beth-shan, and came to Iabesh, and burnt them there,
13 Markaasay lafahoodii qaadeen oo ku aaseen geed Yaabeesh ku yiil hoostiisa, toddoba maalmoodna way soomeen.
And tooke their bones and buried them vnder a tree at Iabesh, and fasted seuen dayes.
