1 И бысть по сих, и порази Давид иноплеменники, и прогна их: и взя Геф и веси его от руки иноплеменничи.
Now after this it came to pass, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, and took Gath and her towns out of the hand of the Philistines.
2 И порази Давид Моава, и бяху Моавити раби Давиду приносяще ему дань.
And he smote Moab; and the Moabites became David’s servants, and brought gifts.
3 И порази Давид Адраазара царя Сувска во Емафе, идущу ему поставити руку свою над рекою Евфратом:
And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah to Hamath, as he went to establish his dominion by the river Euphrates.
4 и взя от него Давид тысящу колесниц и седмь тысящ конник и двадесять тысящ мужей пешцев, и разби Давид вся колесницы, и остави от них сто колесниц, (ихже удержа себе).
And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: David also hamstrung all the chariot horses, but reserved of them an hundred chariots.
5 И прииде Сир от Дамаска, да помощь даст Адраазару царю Сувску, и порази Давид от Сировых двадесять две тысящы мужей:
And when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadarezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.
6 и постави Давид стражу в Сирии, яже близ Дамаска, и бяху Давиду в рабы приносяще дани: и спасе Господь Давида во всех, в нихже хождаше.
Then David put garrisons in Syriadamascus; and the Syrians became David’s servants, and brought gifts. Thus the LORD preserved David wherever he went.
7 И взя Давид гривны златыя, ихже имеша раби Адраазаровы, и принесе я во Иерусалим.
And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadarezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.
8 И из Метавефа и от избранных градов Адраазаровых взя Давид меди много зело, из неяже сотвори Соломон море медяно, и столпы, и сосуды медяныя.
Likewise from Tibhath, and from Chun, cities of Hadarezer, brought David very much brass, with which Solomon made the brazen sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass.
9 И услыша Фоа царь Емафский, яко порази Давид всю силу Адраазара царя Сувска,
Now when Tou king of Hamath heard how David had smitten all the host of Hadarezer king of Zobah;
10 и посла Адурама сына своего к царю Давиду, да вопросит его, яже о мире, и благословити его о сем, яко победи Адраазара и порази его, понеже муж противен бяше Фоа Адраазару.
He sent Hadoram his son to king David, to inquire of his welfare, and to congratulate him, because he had fought against Hadarezer, and smitten him; (for Hadarezer had war with Tou; ) and with him all manner of vessels of gold and silver and brass.
11 И вся сосуды златыя и сребряныя и медяныя, и сия освяти царь Давид Господу со сребром и златом, яже взя от всех язык, от Идумеи и Моава, и от сынов Аммоних и от иноплеменник и от Амалика.
Them also king David dedicated to the LORD, with the silver and the gold that he brought from all these nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
12 Авесса же сын Саруиев порази Идумею во юдоли Сланей, осмьнадесять тысящ:
Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah slew of the Edomites in the valley of salt eighteen thousand.
13 и постави во юдоли стражу, и беша вси Идумеане раби Давиду. И спасаше Господь Давида во всех, в нихже хождаше.
And he put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edomites became David’s servants. Thus the LORD preserved David wherever he went.
14 И воцарися Давид над всем Израилем, и бе творя суд и правду всем людем своим.
So David reigned over all Israel, and executed judgment and justice among all his people.
15 Иоав же сын Саруиев (бысть) над воинством, и Иосафат сын Ахилудов памятописец,
And Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, recorder.
16 и Садок сын Ахитов и Авимелех сын Авиафаров священницы, и Суса книгочий,
And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Abimelech the son of Abiathar, were the priests; and Shavsha was scribe;
17 и Ванеа сын Иодаев над Херефием и над Фелефием: сынове же Давидовы первии преемницы царевы.
And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were chief about the king.
