1 Rumbidza Jehovha. Rumbidza Jehovha, iwe mweya wangu.

Praise ye Yah, Praise, O my soul, Yahweh.

2 Ndicharumbidza Jehovha mazuva ose oupenyu hwangu; ndichaimbira Mwari wangu nziyo dzokurumbidza ndichiri mupenyu.

I will praise Yahweh while I live! I will make melody to my God while I continue!

3 Regai kuvimba namachinda, navanhu vanofa, vasingagoni kuponesa.

Do not ye trust in nobles, in a son of man who hath no deliverance:

4 Mweya yavo painoenda, ivo vanodzokera kuvhu; pazuva racho iroro urongwa hwavo hunova pasina.

His spirit, goeth forth, he returneth to his ground, In that very day, his thoughts perish.

5 Akaropafadzwa munhu uyo ano mubatsiri wake Mwari waJakobho, tariro yake iri muna Jehovha Mwari wake,

How happy is he that hath the GOD of Jacob as his help, whose hope, is on Yahweh his God: —

6 Muiti wedenga nenyika, gungwa uye nezvose zviri mariri, iye Jehovha, anogara akatendeka nokusingaperi.

Who made The heavens and the earth, The sea and all that is therein, Who keepeth faithfulness to times age-abiding:

7 Anomiririra zvinodiwa nevakadzvinyirirwa, uye anopa zvokudya vane nzara. Jehovha anosunungura vasungwa.

Who executeth justice for the oppressed, who giveth food to the famishing, Yahweh, who liberateth prisoners;

8 Jehovha anosvinudza mapofu, Jehovha anosimudza avo vakakotamiswa pasi, Jehovha anoda vakarurama.

Yahweh, who opened [the eyes of] the blind, Yahweh, who raiseth the prostrate, Yahweh, who loveth the righteous;

9 Jehovha anorinda vatorwa uye anoriritira nherera nechirikadzi, asi anokonesa nzira dzavakaipa.

Yahweh, who preserveth sojourners, The fatherless and widows, he relieveth, —but, the way of the lawless, he overturneth.

10 Jehovha anotonga nokusingaperi, Mwari wako, iwe Zioni, kuzvizvarwa zvose. Rumbidza Jehovha.

Yahweh, will reign, to times age-abiding, Thy God, O Zion, to generation after generation. Praise ye Yah!
