1 Rumbidzai Jehovha. Akaropafadzwa munhu anotya Jehovha, anofarira mirayiro yake zvikuru.
Praise Yahweh! (Happy are/He is pleased with) those who revere him, those who happily obey his commands.
2 Vana vake vachava nesimba panyika; zvizvarwa zvavakarurama zvicharopafadzwa.
Their children will prosper in their land; and their descendants will be blessed [by God].
3 Pfuma nezvakawanda zviri mumba make, uye kururama kwake kunogara nokusingaperi.
Their families [MTY] will be very wealthy [DOU], and [the results of] their righteous deeds will endure forever.
4 Kunyange murima akarurama anobudirwa nechiedza, iye munhu ane nyasha nengoni uye akarurama.
Godly/Righteous people are [like] lights [SIM] that shine in the darkness on those who are kind, merciful and righteous.
5 Zvakanaka zvinouya kumunhu anopa zvizhinji uye anokweretesa pachena, anofambisa nzira dzake nokururamisira.
Things [will] go well for those who generously lend money to others and who conduct their businesses honestly.
6 Zvirokwazvo, haangatongozungunuswi; munhu akarurama acharangarirwa nokusingaperi.
Righteous people will not be overwhelmed/worried/distressed [because of their troubles], and they will never be forgotten [by other people].
7 Haangatyi mashoko akaipa; mwoyo wake wakasimba, anovimba naJehovha.
They are not afraid of [receiving] bad news; they confidently/completely trust in Yahweh.
8 Mwoyo wake wakachengetedzeka, haangatyi chinhu; pakupedzisira achatarira nokukunda kuvavengi vake.
They are confident and not afraid, because they know that they will see [God defeat] their enemies.
9 Akaparadzira zvipo zvake kuvarombo, kururama kwake kunogara nokusingaperi; runyanga rwake ruchasimudzwa mudenga mukukudzwa.
They give things generously to poor/needy [people]; [the results of] their kind deeds will endure forever, and they [will] be exalted and honored.
10 Akaipa achazviona uye acharwadziwa, acharumanya meno ake uye achaonda; kushuva kwowakaipa kuchava pasina.
Wicked people see those things and are angry; they gnash their teeth [angrily], but they [will] disappear [and die]. The [wicked] things that they want to do [will] never happen.
