Псалми 37
1 Немој се жестити гледајући неваљале, немој завидети онима који чине безакоње.
[A Psalm] of David. Fret not thyself because of evil-doers, neither be envious of them that do iniquity.
2 Јер се као трава брзо косе, и као зелено биље вену.
For they shall soon be withered as the grass, and shall soon fall away as the green herbs.
3 Уздај се у Господа и твори добро; живи на земљи и храни истину.
Hope in the Lord, and do good; and dwell on the land, and thou shalt be fed with the wealth of it.
4 Теши се Господом, и учиниће ти шта ти срце жели.
Delight [thyself] in the Lord; and he shall grant thee the requests of thine heart.
5 Предај Господу пут свој, и уздај се у Њега, Он ће учинити.
Disclose thy way to the Lord, and hope in him; and he shall bring [it] to pass.
6 И извешће као видело правду твоју, и правицу твоју као подне.
And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noon-day.
7 Ослони се на Господа, и чекај Га. Немој се жестити гледајући кога где напредује на путу свом, човека, који ради шта намисли.
Submit thyself to the Lord, and supplicate him: fret not thyself because of him that prospers in his way, at the man that does unlawful deeds.
8 Утишај гнев, и остави јарост; немој се дражити да зло чиниш.
ease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself so as to do evil.
9 Јер ће се истребити који чине зло, а који чекају Господа наследиће земљу.
For evil-doers shall be destroyed: but they that wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the land.
10 Још мало, па неће бити безбожника; погледаћеш на место његово, а њега нема.
And yet a little while, and the sinner shall not be, and thou shalt seek for his place, and shalt not find [it].
11 А смерни ће наследити земљу, и наслађиваће се множином мира.
But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight [themselves] in the abundance of peace.
12 Зло мисли безбожник праведнику, и шкргуће на њ зубима својим.
The sinner will watch for the righteous, and gnash his teeth upon him.
13 Али му се Господ смеје, јер види да се примиче дан његов.
But the Lord shall laugh at him: for he foresees that his day will come.
14 Мач потежу безбожници, запињу лук свој, да оборе убогога и ништега и покољу оне који иду правим путем.
Sinners have drawn their swords, they have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy one, [and] to slay the upright in heart.
15 Мач ће њихов ударити у њихово срце, и лукови њихови поломиће се.
Let their sword enter into their [own] heart, and their bows be broken.
16 Боље је мало у праведника него богатство многих безбожника.
A little is better to the righteous than abundant wealth of sinners.
17 Јер ће се мишице безбожницима потрти, а праведнике утврђује Господ.
For the arms of sinners shall be broken; but the Lord supports the righteous.
18 Зна Господ дане безазленима, и део њихов траје довека.
The Lord knows the ways of the perfect; and their inheritance shall be for ever.
19 Неће се постидети у зло доба, у дане гладне биће сити.
They shall not be ashamed in an evil time; and in days of famine they shall be satisfied.
20 А безбожници гину, и непријатељи Господњи као лепота шумска пролазе, као дим пролазе.
For the sinners shall perish; and the enemies of the Lord at the moment of their being honoured and exalted have utterly vanished like smoke.
21 Безбожник узаима и не враћа, а праведник поклања и даје.
The sinner borrows, and will not pay again: but the righteous has compassion, and gives.
22 Јер које Он благослови, они наследе земљу, а које Он прокуне, они се истребе.
For they that bless him shall inherit the earth; and they that curse him shall be utterly destroyed.
23 Господ утврђује кораке сваког човека и мио Му је пут његов.
The steps of a man are rightly ordered by the Lord: and he will take pleasure in his way.
24 Кад посрне да падне, неће пасти, јер га Господ држи за руку.
When he falls, he shall not be ruined: for the Lord supports his hand.
25 Бејах млад и остарех, и не видех праведника остављеног, ни деце његове да просе хлеба.
I was [once] young, indeed I am now old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed seeking bread.
26 Сваки дан поклања и даје у зајам, и на наслеђу је његовом благослов.
He is merciful, and lends continually; and his seed shall be blessed.
27 Уклањај се ода зла, и чини добро, и живи довека.
Turn aside from evil, and do good; and dwell for ever.
28 Јер Господ љуби праведни суд, и не оставља свеце своје; увек се они чувају; а племе ће се безбожничко истребити.
For the Lord loves judgment, and will not forsake his saints; they shall be preserved for ever: the blameless shall be avenged, but the seed of the ungodly shall be utterly destroyed.
29 Праведници ће наследити земљу, и живеће на њој довека.
But the righteous shall inherit the earth, and dwell upon it for ever.
30 Уста праведникова говоре мудрост, и језик његов казује истину.
The mouth of the righteous will meditate wisdom, and his tongue will speak of judgment.
31 Закон је Бога његовог њему у срцу, стопала се његова не спотичу.
The law of his God is in his heart; and his steps shall not slide.
32 Безбожник вреба праведника, и тражи да га убије;
The sinner watches the righteous, and seeks to slay him.
33 Али га Господ неће пустити у руке његове, нити ће дати да га окриве кад се стану судити.
But the Lord will not leave him in his hands, nor by any means condemn him when he is judged.
34 Чекај Господа и држи се пута Његовог, и Он ће те поставити да владаш земљом; видећеш како ће се истребити безбожници.
Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are destroyed, thou shalt see [it].
35 Видех безбожника страшног који се рашириваше као гранато дрво;
I saw the ungodly very highly exalting himself, and lifting himself up like the cedars of Libanus.
36 Али прође, и ево нема га; тражим га и не находим.
Yet I passed by, and lo! he was not: and I sought him, but his place was not found.
37 Храни чистоту и пази правду, јер ће у човека мирног остати наслеђе.
Maintain innocence, and behold uprightness: for there is a remnant to the peaceable man.
38 А безаконика ће нестати сасвим; наслеђе ће се безбожничко затрти.
But the transgressors shall be utterly destroyed together: the remnants of the ungodly shall be utterly destroyed.
39 Од Господа је спасење праведницима; Он је крепост њихова у невољи.
But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord; and he is their defender in the time of affliction.
40 Господ ће им помоћи, и избавиће их; избавиће их од безбожника, и сачуваће их, јер се у Њега уздају.
And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: and he shall rescue them from sinners, and save them, because they have hoped in him.
