Књига пророка Језекиља 38
1 Опет ми дође реч Господња говорећи:
And the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:
2 Сине човечји, окрени лице своје према Гогу у земљи Магогу, кнезу и глави у Месеху и Тувалу, и пророкуј на њ;
Son of man Set thy face against Gog of the land of the Magog, Prince of Rosh Meshech and Tubal, - And prophesy concerning him,
3 И реци: Овако вели Господ Господ: ево ме на тебе, Гоже, кнеже и главо Месеху и Тувалу;
and thou shalt say, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, — Behold me! against thee O Gog, Prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal;
4 И вратићу те натраг, и метнућу ти жвале у чељусти, и извешћу тебе и сву војску твоју, коње и коњике, све добро одевене, збор велики са штитовима и штитићима, све који мачем машу,
Therefore I will turn thee about, and will put hooks in thy jaws, —and bring thee forth and all thine army. Horses and horsemen Clothed with gorgeous attire, all of them, A mighty gathered host With shield and buckler handling swords, all of them:
5 С њима Персијанце, Етиопљане и Путеје, све са штитовима и под шлемовима,
Persia Ethiopia and Libya with them, All of them, with shield and helmet;
6 Гомера и све чете његове, дом Тогармин са северног краја и све чете његове, многе народе с тобом.
Gomer and all her hordes, The house of Togarmah the remote men of the North and all his hordes, Many peoples with thee.
7 Приправи све и спреми се ти и све људство твоје, што се сабрало код тебе, и буди им стражар.
Be ready, and show thyself ready, Thou and all thy gathered host who have gathered themselves unto thee, — And become thou for me a guard.
8 После много времена бићеш похођен, и последњих година доћи ћеш у земљу избављену од мача и сабрану из многих народа, у горе Израиљеве, које беху једнако пусте, а они ће изведени из народа сви живети без страха.
After many days, shalt thou muster thy forces, In the afterpart of the years, shalt thou enter Into the land of the remnant brought back from the sword Gathered from among many peoples, Upon the mountains of Israel which have been waste continually, — But the same! from among the peoples, hath been brought forth, And they shall dwell in security, all of them.
9 И подигнућеш се, и доћи ћеш као бура, бићеш као облак да покријеш земљу ти и све чете твоје и многи народи с тобом.
Then shalt thou come up, Like a storm, shalt thou enter, Like a cloud covering the land, shalt thou be, — Thou and all thy hordes, and many peoples with thee.
10 Овако вели Господ Господ: и тада ће ти доћи у срце ствари, и смишљаћеш зле мисли.
Thus saith My Lord, Yahweh, — So shall it be in that day, that thoughts will come up on thy heart.- And thou wilt devise a wicked device;
11 И рећи ћеш: Идем на земљу где су села, и ударићу на мирни народ који живи без страха, који сви живе у местима без зидова и немају ни преворница ни врата,
and wilt say— I will go up over a land of hamlets, I will enter among them who are at rest dwelling securely, — All of them, dwelling without a wall, Who bars and doors, have none;
12 Да наплениш плена и награбиш грабежа, да посегнеш руком својом на пустиње насељене и на народ сабрани из народа, који се бави стоком и имањем, и живи усред земље.
To capture spoil. And take prey, - To bring back thy hand over desolate places at length inhabited And against a people gathered from among the nations, Getting herds and substance Dwelling upon the navel of the earth.
13 Сава и Дедан и трговци тарсиски и сви лавићи његови казаће ти: Јеси ли дошао да плениш плен? Јеси ли скупио људство своје да грабиш грабеж? Да однесеш сребро и злато, да узмеш стоку и трг, да наплениш много плена?
Sheba and Dedan and the traders of Tarshish and all her young lions, will say to thee, To capture spoil, art thou coming? And to take prey, hast thou called together thy gathered host? To carry off silver and gold To take away herds and substance, To capture great spoil?
14 Зато пророкуј, сине човечји, и реци Гогу: Овако вели Господ Господ: У оно време, кад ће мој народ Израиљ живети без страха, нећеш ли знати?
Therefore prophesy, Son of man, and thou shalt say to Gog. Thus saith My Lord, Yahweh: Shall it not be in that day, because my people Israel are dwelling securely: , that thou wilt rouse thyself?
15 И доћи ћеш из свог места, са северног краја, ти и многи народи с тобом, сви јашући на коњима, мноштво велико и војска велика.
Therefore wilt thou come out of thy place. Out of the remote parts of the North, Thou and many peoples with thee, —Riding on horses all of them, A mighty gathered host. Yea a great army;
16 И подигнућеш се на мој народ Израиља као облак да покријеш земљу, у последње време довешћу те на земљу своју да ме познаду народи кад се посветим у теби пред њима, Гоже!
Therefore wilt thou come up, against my people Israel, like a cloud covering the land, — In the afterpart of the days, shall it be. that I will suffer thee to enter upon my land, To the end the nations may know me, when I hallow myself in thee before their eyes O Gog!
17 Овако вели Господ Господ: Ниси ли ти онај о коме говорих у старо време преко слуга својих, пророка Израиљевих, који пророковаше у оно време годинама да ћу те довести на њих.
Thus, saith My Lord, Yahweh, Art thou, he of whom I spake in days aforetime by the hand of my servants the prophets of Israel, who kept on prophesying in those days for years, —That thou shouldest be suffered to come against them?
18 А кад дође Гог на земљу Израиљеву, говори Господ Господ, онда ће се подигнути јарост моја у гневу мом.
So then shall it come to pass in that day, In the day when Gog entereth upon the soil of Israel, Declareth My Lord Yahweh, That mine indignation shall come up into my nostrils;
19 И у ревности својој, у огњу гнева свог говорићу: доиста, тада ће бити дрхат велики у земљи Израиљевој.
Yea, in my jealousy, in the fire of mine outburst, have I spoken, - Surely in that day, shall there be a great trembling upon the soil of Israel:
20 И рибе морске и птице небеске и звери пољске и све што гамиже по земљи, и сви људи по земљи задрхтаће од мене, и горе ће се развалити и врлети попадати, и сви ће зидови попадати на земљу.
Then shall tremble before me The fishes of the sea, and The bird of the heavens and The wild beast of the field, and Every creeping thing that creepeth on the ground, and All the men who are on the face of the ground, — and The mountains, shall be torn asunder, and The steep places, shall sink down, and, Every wall, to the earth, shall be thrown.
21 И дозваћу на њ мач по свим горама својим, говори Господ Господ: Мач ће се сваког обратити на брата његовог.
Then will I call against him, every terror, Declareth My Lord Yahweh, the sword of every man against his brother, shall be;
22 И судићу му помором и крвљу; и пустићу на њ и на чете његове и на многе народе, који буду с њим, силан дажд, камење од града, огањ и сумпор.
Then will I contend with him by pestilence and by blood, - And an overflowing downpour and hail-stones fire and brimstone, will I rain Upon him, and Upon his hordes, and Upon the many peoples who are with him.
23 И прославићу се и посветићу се и бићу познат пред многим народима, и познаће да сам ја Господ.
So will I Magnify myself and Hallow myself, and Make myself known. Before the eyes of many nations, —And they shall know that I, am Yahweh.
