< ಲೂಕಃ 5 >
1 ಅನನ್ತರಂ ಯೀಶುರೇಕದಾ ಗಿನೇಷರಥ್ದಸ್ಯ ತೀರ ಉತ್ತಿಷ್ಠತಿ, ತದಾ ಲೋಕಾ ಈಶ್ವರೀಯಕಥಾಂ ಶ್ರೋತುಂ ತದುಪರಿ ಪ್ರಪತಿತಾಃ|
Now while the multitude pressed on him and heard ha D'var Elohim · the Word of God·, he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret.
2 ತದಾನೀಂ ಸ ಹ್ದಸ್ಯ ತೀರಸಮೀಪೇ ನೌದ್ವಯಂ ದದರ್ಶ ಕಿಞ್ಚ ಮತ್ಸ್ಯೋಪಜೀವಿನೋ ನಾವಂ ವಿಹಾಯ ಜಾಲಂ ಪ್ರಕ್ಷಾಲಯನ್ತಿ|
He saw two boats standing by the lake, but the fishermen had gone out of them, and were washing their nets.
3 ತತಸ್ತಯೋರ್ದ್ವಯೋ ರ್ಮಧ್ಯೇ ಶಿಮೋನೋ ನಾವಮಾರುಹ್ಯ ತೀರಾತ್ ಕಿಞ್ಚಿದ್ದೂರಂ ಯಾತುಂ ತಸ್ಮಿನ್ ವಿನಯಂ ಕೃತ್ವಾ ನೌಕಾಯಾಮುಪವಿಶ್ಯ ಲೋಕಾನ್ ಪ್ರೋಪದಿಷ್ಟವಾನ್|
He entered into one of the boats, which was Simeon [Hearing]’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat.
4 ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ ತಂ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವಂ ಸಮಾಪ್ಯ ಸ ಶಿಮೋನಂ ವ್ಯಾಜಹಾರ, ಗಭೀರಂ ಜಲಂ ಗತ್ವಾ ಮತ್ಸ್ಯಾನ್ ಧರ್ತ್ತುಂ ಜಾಲಂ ನಿಕ್ಷಿಪ|
When he had finished speaking, he said to Simeon [Hearing], “Put out into the deep, and let down your nets for a catch.”
5 ತತಃ ಶಿಮೋನ ಬಭಾಷೇ, ಹೇ ಗುರೋ ಯದ್ಯಪಿ ವಯಂ ಕೃತ್ಸ್ನಾಂ ಯಾಮಿನೀಂ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮ್ಯ ಮತ್ಸ್ಯೈಕಮಪಿ ನ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತಾಸ್ತಥಾಪಿ ಭವತೋ ನಿದೇಶತೋ ಜಾಲಂ ಕ್ಷಿಪಾಮಃ|
Simeon [Hearing] answered him, “Master, we worked all night, and took nothing; but at your word I will let down the net.”
6 ಅಥ ಜಾಲೇ ಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತೇ ಬಹುಮತ್ಸ್ಯಪತನಾದ್ ಆನಾಯಃ ಪ್ರಚ್ಛಿನ್ನಃ|
When they had done this, they caught a great multitude of fish, and their net was breaking.
7 ತಸ್ಮಾದ್ ಉಪಕರ್ತ್ತುಮ್ ಅನ್ಯನೌಸ್ಥಾನ್ ಸಙ್ಗಿನ ಆಯಾತುಮ್ ಇಙ್ಗಿತೇನ ಸಮಾಹ್ವಯನ್ ತತಸ್ತ ಆಗತ್ಯ ಮತ್ಸ್ಯೈ ರ್ನೌದ್ವಯಂ ಪ್ರಪೂರಯಾಮಾಸು ರ್ಯೈ ರ್ನೌದ್ವಯಂ ಪ್ರಮಗ್ನಮ್|
They beckoned to their partners in the other boat, that they should come and help them. They came, and filled both boats, so that they began to sink.
8 ತದಾ ಶಿಮೋನ್ಪಿತರಸ್ತದ್ ವಿಲೋಕ್ಯ ಯೀಶೋಶ್ಚರಣಯೋಃ ಪತಿತ್ವಾ, ಹೇ ಪ್ರಭೋಹಂ ಪಾಪೀ ನರೋ ಮಮ ನಿಕಟಾದ್ ಭವಾನ್ ಯಾತು, ಇತಿ ಕಥಿತವಾನ್|
But Simeon Peter [Hearing Rock], when he saw it, fell down at Yeshua [Salvation]'s knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, Lord.”
9 ಯತೋ ಜಾಲೇ ಪತಿತಾನಾಂ ಮತ್ಸ್ಯಾನಾಂ ಯೂಥಾತ್ ಶಿಮೋನ್ ತತ್ಸಙ್ಗಿನಶ್ಚ ಚಮತ್ಕೃತವನ್ತಃ; ಶಿಮೋನಃ ಸಹಕಾರಿಣೌ ಸಿವದೇಃ ಪುತ್ರೌ ಯಾಕೂಬ್ ಯೋಹನ್ ಚೇಮೌ ತಾದೃಶೌ ಬಭೂವತುಃ|
For he was amazed, and all who were with him, at the catch of fish which they had caught;
10 ತದಾ ಯೀಶುಃ ಶಿಮೋನಂ ಜಗಾದ ಮಾ ಭೈಷೀರದ್ಯಾರಭ್ಯ ತ್ವಂ ಮನುಷ್ಯಧರೋ ಭವಿಷ್ಯಸಿ|
and so also were James [Surplanter] and John [Yah is gracious], sons of Zebedee [Bestowed by Yah], who were partners with Simeon [Hearing]. Yeshua [Salvation] said to Simeon [Hearing], “Don’t be afraid. From now on you will be catching people alive.”
11 ಅನನ್ತರಂ ಸರ್ವ್ವಾಸು ನೌಸು ತೀರಮ್ ಆನೀತಾಸು ತೇ ಸರ್ವ್ವಾನ್ ಪರಿತ್ಯಜ್ಯ ತಸ್ಯ ಪಶ್ಚಾದ್ಗಾಮಿನೋ ಬಭೂವುಃ|
When they had brought their boats to land, they left everything, and followed him.
12 ತತಃ ಪರಂ ಯೀಶೌ ಕಸ್ಮಿಂಶ್ಚಿತ್ ಪುರೇ ತಿಷ್ಠತಿ ಜನ ಏಕಃ ಸರ್ವ್ವಾಙ್ಗಕುಷ್ಠಸ್ತಂ ವಿಲೋಕ್ಯ ತಸ್ಯ ಸಮೀಪೇ ನ್ಯುಬ್ಜಃ ಪತಿತ್ವಾ ಸವಿನಯಂ ವಕ್ತುಮಾರೇಭೇ, ಹೇ ಪ್ರಭೋ ಯದಿ ಭವಾನಿಚ್ಛತಿ ತರ್ಹಿ ಮಾಂ ಪರಿಷ್ಕರ್ತ್ತುಂ ಶಕ್ನೋತಿ|
While he was in one of the cities, behold, there was a man full of tzara'at ·leprosy·. When he saw Yeshua [Salvation], he fell on his face, and begged him, saying, “Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean.”
13 ತದಾನೀಂ ಸ ಪಾಣಿಂ ಪ್ರಸಾರ್ಯ್ಯ ತದಙ್ಗಂ ಸ್ಪೃಶನ್ ಬಭಾಷೇ ತ್ವಂ ಪರಿಷ್ಕ್ರಿಯಸ್ವೇತಿ ಮಮೇಚ್ಛಾಸ್ತಿ ತತಸ್ತತ್ಕ್ಷಣಂ ಸ ಕುಷ್ಠಾತ್ ಮುಕ್ತಃ|
He stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying, “I want to. Be made clean.” Immediately the tzara'at ·leprosy· left him.
14 ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ ಸ ತಮಾಜ್ಞಾಪಯಾಮಾಸ ಕಥಾಮಿಮಾಂ ಕಸ್ಮೈಚಿದ್ ಅಕಥಯಿತ್ವಾ ಯಾಜಕಸ್ಯ ಸಮೀಪಞ್ಚ ಗತ್ವಾ ಸ್ವಂ ದರ್ಶಯ, ಲೋಕೇಭ್ಯೋ ನಿಜಪರಿಷ್ಕೃತತ್ವಸ್ಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಾನಾಯ ಮೂಸಾಜ್ಞಾನುಸಾರೇಣ ದ್ರವ್ಯಮುತ್ಮೃಜಸ್ವ ಚ|
He commanded him to tell no one. “Instead, as a testimony to the people, go straight to the priest and make an offer for your cleansing, as Moses [Drawn out] commanded.”
15 ತಥಾಪಿ ಯೀಶೋಃ ಸುಖ್ಯಾತಿ ರ್ಬಹು ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತುಮಾರೇಭೇ ಕಿಞ್ಚ ತಸ್ಯ ಕಥಾಂ ಶ್ರೋತುಂ ಸ್ವೀಯರೋಗೇಭ್ಯೋ ಮೋಕ್ತುಞ್ಚ ಲೋಕಾ ಆಜಗ್ಮುಃ|
But the report concerning him spread much more, and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
16 ಅಥ ಸ ಪ್ರಾನ್ತರಂ ಗತ್ವಾ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಯಾಞ್ಚಕ್ರೇ|
But he withdrew himself into the desert, and prayed.
17 ಅಪರಞ್ಚ ಏಕದಾ ಯೀಶುರುಪದಿಶತಿ, ಏತರ್ಹಿ ಗಾಲೀಲ್ಯಿಹೂದಾಪ್ರದೇಶಯೋಃ ಸರ್ವ್ವನಗರೇಭ್ಯೋ ಯಿರೂಶಾಲಮಶ್ಚ ಕಿಯನ್ತಃ ಫಿರೂಶಿಲೋಕಾ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕಾಶ್ಚ ಸಮಾಗತ್ಯ ತದನ್ತಿಕೇ ಸಮುಪವಿವಿಶುಃ, ತಸ್ಮಿನ್ ಕಾಲೇ ಲೋಕಾನಾಮಾರೋಗ್ಯಕಾರಣಾತ್ ಪ್ರಭೋಃ ಪ್ರಭಾವಃ ಪ್ರಚಕಾಶೇ|
On one of those days, he was teaching; and there were Pharisees [Separated] and Torah-Teachers sitting by, who had come out of every village of Galilee [District, Circuit], Judea [Praise], and Jerusalem [City of peace]. The power of MarYah [Master Yahweh] was with him to heal them.
18 ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ ಕಿಯನ್ತೋ ಲೋಕಾ ಏಕಂ ಪಕ್ಷಾಘಾತಿನಂ ಖಟ್ವಾಯಾಂ ನಿಧಾಯ ಯೀಶೋಃ ಸಮೀಪಮಾನೇತುಂ ಸಮ್ಮುಖೇ ಸ್ಥಾಪಯಿತುಞ್ಚ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ರಿಯನ್ತ|
Behold, men brought a paralyzed man on a cot, and they sought to bring him in to lay before Yeshua [Salvation].
19 ಕಿನ್ತು ಬಹುಜನನಿವಹಸಮ್ವಾಧಾತ್ ನ ಶಕ್ನುವನ್ತೋ ಗೃಹೋಪರಿ ಗತ್ವಾ ಗೃಹಪೃಷ್ಠಂ ಖನಿತ್ವಾ ತಂ ಪಕ್ಷಾಘಾತಿನಂ ಸಖಟ್ವಂ ಗೃಹಮಧ್ಯೇ ಯೀಶೋಃ ಸಮ್ಮುಖೇ ಽವರೋಹಯಾಮಾಸುಃ|
Not finding a way to bring him in because of the multitude, they went up to the housetop, and let him down through the tiles with his cot into the middle before Yeshua [Salvation].
20 ತದಾ ಯೀಶುಸ್ತೇಷಾಮ್ ಈದೃಶಂ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸಂ ವಿಲೋಕ್ಯ ತಂ ಪಕ್ಷಾಘಾತಿನಂ ವ್ಯಾಜಹಾರ, ಹೇ ಮಾನವ ತವ ಪಾಪಮಕ್ಷಮ್ಯತ|
Seeing their trusting faith, he said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.”
21 ತಸ್ಮಾದ್ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕಾಃ ಫಿರೂಶಿನಶ್ಚ ಚಿತ್ತೈರಿತ್ಥಂ ಪ್ರಚಿನ್ತಿತವನ್ತಃ, ಏಷ ಜನ ಈಶ್ವರಂ ನಿನ್ದತಿ ಕೋಯಂ? ಕೇವಲಮೀಶ್ವರಂ ವಿನಾ ಪಾಪಂ ಕ್ಷನ್ತುಂ ಕಃ ಶಕ್ನೋತಿ?
The Torah-Teachers and the Pharisees [Separated] began to reason, saying, “Who is this that speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?”
22 ತದಾ ಯೀಶುಸ್ತೇಷಾಮ್ ಇತ್ಥಂ ಚಿನ್ತನಂ ವಿದಿತ್ವಾ ತೇಭ್ಯೋಕಥಯದ್ ಯೂಯಂ ಮನೋಭಿಃ ಕುತೋ ವಿತರ್ಕಯಥ?
But Yeshua [Salvation], perceiving their thoughts, answered them, “Why are you reasoning so in your hearts?
23 ತವ ಪಾಪಕ್ಷಮಾ ಜಾತಾ ಯದ್ವಾ ತ್ವಮುತ್ಥಾಯ ವ್ರಜ ಏತಯೋ ರ್ಮಧ್ಯೇ ಕಾ ಕಥಾ ಸುಕಥ್ಯಾ?
Which is easier to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you;’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk?’
24 ಕಿನ್ತು ಪೃಥಿವ್ಯಾಂ ಪಾಪಂ ಕ್ಷನ್ತುಂ ಮಾನವಸುತಸ್ಯ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯಮಸ್ತೀತಿ ಯಥಾ ಯೂಯಂ ಜ್ಞಾತುಂ ಶಕ್ನುಥ ತದರ್ಥಂ (ಸ ತಂ ಪಕ್ಷಾಘಾತಿನಂ ಜಗಾದ) ಉತ್ತಿಷ್ಠ ಸ್ವಶಯ್ಯಾಂ ಗೃಹೀತ್ವಾ ಗೃಹಂ ಯಾಹೀತಿ ತ್ವಾಮಾದಿಶಾಮಿ|
But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins” (he said to the paralyzed man), “I tell you, arise, and take up your cot, and go to your house.”
25 ತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ಸ ತತ್ಕ್ಷಣಮ್ ಉತ್ಥಾಯ ಸರ್ವ್ವೇಷಾಂ ಸಾಕ್ಷಾತ್ ನಿಜಶಯನೀಯಂ ಗೃಹೀತ್ವಾ ಈಶ್ವರಂ ಧನ್ಯಂ ವದನ್ ನಿಜನಿವೇಶನಂ ಯಯೌ|
Immediately he rose up before them, and took up that which he was laying on, and departed to his house, glorifying God.
26 ತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ಸರ್ವ್ವೇ ವಿಸ್ಮಯ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತಾ ಮನಃಸು ಭೀತಾಶ್ಚ ವಯಮದ್ಯಾಸಮ್ಭವಕಾರ್ಯ್ಯಾಣ್ಯದರ್ಶಾಮ ಇತ್ಯುಕ್ತ್ವಾ ಪರಮೇಶ್ವರಂ ಧನ್ಯಂ ಪ್ರೋದಿತಾಃ|
Amazement took hold on all, and they glorified God. They were filled with fear, saying, “We have seen strange things today.”
27 ತತಃ ಪರಂ ಬಹಿರ್ಗಚ್ಛನ್ ಕರಸಞ್ಚಯಸ್ಥಾನೇ ಲೇವಿನಾಮಾನಂ ಕರಸಞ್ಚಾಯಕಂ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ಯೀಶುಸ್ತಮಭಿದಧೇ ಮಮ ಪಶ್ಚಾದೇಹಿ|
After these things he went out, and saw a tax collector named Levi [United with] sitting at the tax office, and said to him, “Follow me!”
28 ತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ಸ ತತ್ಕ್ಷಣಾತ್ ಸರ್ವ್ವಂ ಪರಿತ್ಯಜ್ಯ ತಸ್ಯ ಪಶ್ಚಾದಿಯಾಯ|
He left everything, and rose up and followed him.
29 ಅನನ್ತರಂ ಲೇವಿ ರ್ನಿಜಗೃಹೇ ತದರ್ಥಂ ಮಹಾಭೋಜ್ಯಂ ಚಕಾರ, ತದಾ ತೈಃ ಸಹಾನೇಕೇ ಕರಸಞ್ಚಾಯಿನಸ್ತದನ್ಯಲೋಕಾಶ್ಚ ಭೋಕ್ತುಮುಪವಿವಿಶುಃ|
Levi [United with] made a great feast for him in his house. There was a great crowd of tax collectors and others who were reclining with them.
30 ತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ಕಾರಣಾತ್ ಚಣ್ಡಾಲಾನಾಂ ಪಾಪಿಲೋಕಾನಾಞ್ಚ ಸಙ್ಗೇ ಯೂಯಂ ಕುತೋ ಭಂಗ್ಧ್ವೇ ಪಿವಥ ಚೇತಿ ಕಥಾಂ ಕಥಯಿತ್ವಾ ಫಿರೂಶಿನೋಽಧ್ಯಾಪಕಾಶ್ಚ ತಸ್ಯ ಶಿಷ್ಯೈಃ ಸಹ ವಾಗ್ಯುದ್ಧಂ ಕರ್ತ್ತುಮಾರೇಭಿರೇ|
Their Torah-Teachers and the Pharisees [Separated] murmured against his disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with the tax collectors and sinners?”
31 ತಸ್ಮಾದ್ ಯೀಶುಸ್ತಾನ್ ಪ್ರತ್ಯವೋಚದ್ ಅರೋಗಲೋಕಾನಾಂ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಕೇನ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನಂ ನಾಸ್ತಿ ಕಿನ್ತು ಸರೋಗಾಣಾಮೇವ|
Yeshua [Salvation] answered them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.
32 ಅಹಂ ಧಾರ್ಮ್ಮಿಕಾನ್ ಆಹ್ವಾತುಂ ನಾಗತೋಸ್ಮಿ ಕಿನ್ತು ಮನಃ ಪರಾವರ್ತ್ತಯಿತುಂ ಪಾಪಿನ ಏವ|
I have not come to call the upright, but sinners to teshuvah ·complete repentance·.”
33 ತತಸ್ತೇ ಪ್ರೋಚುಃ, ಯೋಹನಃ ಫಿರೂಶಿನಾಞ್ಚ ಶಿಷ್ಯಾ ವಾರಂವಾರಮ್ ಉಪವಸನ್ತಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಯನ್ತೇ ಚ ಕಿನ್ತು ತವ ಶಿಷ್ಯಾಃ ಕುತೋ ಭುಞ್ಜತೇ ಪಿವನ್ತಿ ಚ?
They said to him, “Why do John [Yah is gracious]’s disciples often fast and pray, likewise also the disciples of the Pharisees [Separated], but yours eat and drink?”
34 ತದಾ ಸ ತಾನಾಚಖ್ಯೌ ವರೇ ಸಙ್ಗೇ ತಿಷ್ಠತಿ ವರಸ್ಯ ಸಖಿಗಣಂ ಕಿಮುಪವಾಸಯಿತುಂ ಶಕ್ನುಥ?
He said to them, “Can you make the friends of the bridegroom fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
35 ಕಿನ್ತು ಯದಾ ತೇಷಾಂ ನಿಕಟಾದ್ ವರೋ ನೇಷ್ಯತೇ ತದಾ ತೇ ಸಮುಪವತ್ಸ್ಯನ್ತಿ|
But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them. Then they will fast in those days.”
36 ಸೋಪರಮಪಿ ದೃಷ್ಟಾನ್ತಂ ಕಥಯಾಮ್ಬಭೂವ ಪುರಾತನವಸ್ತ್ರೇ ಕೋಪಿ ನುತನವಸ್ತ್ರಂ ನ ಸೀವ್ಯತಿ ಯತಸ್ತೇನ ಸೇವನೇನ ಜೀರ್ಣವಸ್ತ್ರಂ ಛಿದ್ಯತೇ, ನೂತನಪುರಾತನವಸ್ತ್ರಯೋ ರ್ಮೇಲಞ್ಚ ನ ಭವತಿ|
He also told a parable to them. “No one puts a piece from a new garment on an old garment, or else he will tear the new, and also the piece from the new will not match the old.
37 ಪುರಾತನ್ಯಾಂ ಕುತ್ವಾಂ ಕೋಪಿ ನುತನಂ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸಂ ನ ನಿದಧಾತಿ, ಯತೋ ನವೀನದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸಸ್ಯ ತೇಜಸಾ ಪುರಾತನೀ ಕುತೂ ರ್ವಿದೀರ್ಯ್ಯತೇ ತತೋ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸಃ ಪತತಿ ಕುತೂಶ್ಚ ನಶ್ಯತಿ|
No one puts new wine into old wine skins, or else the new wine will burst the skins, and it will be spilled, and the skins will be destroyed.
38 ತತೋ ಹೇತೋ ರ್ನೂತನ್ಯಾಂ ಕುತ್ವಾಂ ನವೀನದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸಃ ನಿಧಾತವ್ಯಸ್ತೇನೋಭಯಸ್ಯ ರಕ್ಷಾ ಭವತಿ|
But new wine must be put into fresh wine skins, and both are preserved.
39 ಅಪರಞ್ಚ ಪುರಾತನಂ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸಂ ಪೀತ್ವಾ ಕೋಪಿ ನೂತನಂ ನ ವಾಞ್ಛತಿ, ಯತಃ ಸ ವಕ್ತಿ ನೂತನಾತ್ ಪುರಾತನಮ್ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಮ್|
No man having drunk old wine immediately desires new, for he says, ‘The old is better.’”
