ફિલિપિનઃ 1

1 પૌલતીમથિનામાનૌ યીશુખ્રીષ્ટસ્ય દાસૌ ફિલિપિનગરસ્થાન્ ખ્રીષ્ટયીશોઃ સર્વ્વાન્ પવિત્રલોકાન્ સમિતેરધ્યક્ષાન્ પરિચારકાંશ્ચ પ્રતિ પત્રં લિખતઃ|

Paul and Timothy, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:

2 અસ્માકં તાત ઈશ્વરઃ પ્રભુ ર્યીશુખ્રીષ્ટશ્ચ યુષ્મભ્યં પ્રસાદસ્ય શાન્તેશ્ચ ભોગં દેયાસ્તાં|

Grace [be] to you, and peace, from God our Father and [from] the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 અહં નિરન્તરં નિજસર્વ્વપ્રાર્થનાસુ યુષ્માકં સર્વ્વેષાં કૃતે સાનન્દં પ્રાર્થનાં કુર્વ્વન્

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,

4 યતિ વારાન્ યુષ્માકં સ્મરામિ તતિ વારાન્ આ પ્રથમાદ્ અદ્ય યાવદ્

Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,

5 યુષ્માકં સુસંવાદભાગિત્વકારણાદ્ ઈશ્વરં ધન્યં વદામિ|

For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;

6 યુષ્મન્મધ્યે યેનોત્તમં કર્મ્મ કર્ત્તુમ્ આરમ્ભિ તેનૈવ યીશુખ્રીષ્ટસ્ય દિનં યાવત્ તત્ સાધયિષ્યત ઇત્યસ્મિન્ દૃઢવિશ્વાસો મમાસ્તે|

Being confident of this very thing, that he who hath begun a good work in you, will perform [it] until the day of Jesus Christ:

7 યુષ્માન્ સર્વ્વાન્ અધિ મમ તાદૃશો ભાવો યથાર્થો યતોઽહં કારાવસ્થાયાં પ્રત્યુત્તરકરણે સુસંવાદસ્ય પ્રામાણ્યકરણે ચ યુષ્માન્ સર્વ્વાન્ મયા સાર્દ્ધમ્ એકાનુગ્રહસ્ય ભાગિનો મત્વા સ્વહૃદયે ધારયામિ|

Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.

8 અપરમ્ અહં ખ્રીષ્ટયીશોઃ સ્નેહવત્ સ્નેહેન યુષ્માન્ કીદૃશં કાઙ્ક્ષામિ તદધીશ્વરો મમ સાક્ષી વિદ્યતે|

For God is my witness, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.

9 મયા યત્ પ્રાર્થ્યતે તદ્ ઇદં યુષ્માકં પ્રેમ નિત્યં વૃદ્ધિં ગત્વા

And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and [in] all judgment;

10 જ્ઞાનસ્ય વિશિષ્ટાનાં પરીક્ષિકાયાશ્ચ સર્વ્વવિધબુદ્ધે ર્બાહુલ્યં ફલતુ,

That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ;

11 ખ્રીષ્ટસ્ય દિનં યાવદ્ યુષ્માકં સારલ્યં નિર્વિઘ્નત્વઞ્ચ ભવતુ, ઈશ્વરસ્ય ગૌરવાય પ્રશંસાયૈ ચ યીશુના ખ્રીષ્ટેન પુણ્યફલાનાં પૂર્ણતા યુષ્મભ્યં દીયતામ્ ઇતિ|

Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

12 હે ભ્રાતરઃ, માં પ્રતિ યદ્ યદ્ ઘટિતં તેન સુસંવાદપ્રચારસ્ય બાધા નહિ કિન્તુ વૃદ્ધિરેવ જાતા તદ્ યુષ્માન્ જ્ઞાપયિતું કામયેઽહં|

But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things [which happened] to me have fallen out rather to the furtherance of the gospel;

13 અપરમ્ અહં ખ્રીષ્ટસ્ય કૃતે બદ્ધોઽસ્મીતિ રાજપુર્ય્યામ્ અન્યસ્થાનેષુ ચ સર્વ્વેષાં નિકટે સુસ્પષ્ટમ્ અભવત્,

So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other [places];

14 પ્રભુસમ્બન્ધીયા અનેકે ભ્રાતરશ્ચ મમ બન્ધનાદ્ આશ્વાસં પ્રાપ્ય વર્દ્ધમાનેનોત્સાહેન નિઃક્ષોભં કથાં પ્રચારયન્તિ|

And many of the brethren in the Lord, becoming confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

15 કેચિદ્ દ્વેષાદ્ વિરોધાચ્ચાપરે કેચિચ્ચ સદ્ભાવાત્ ખ્રીષ્ટં ઘોષયન્તિ;

Some indeed preach Christ even from envy and strife; and some also from good will.

16 યે વિરોધાત્ ખ્રીષ્ટં ઘોષયન્તિ તે પવિત્રભાવાત્ તન્ન કુર્વ્વન્તો મમ બન્ધનાનિ બહુતરક્લોશદાયીનિ કર્ત્તુમ્ ઇચ્છન્તિ|

The one preach Christ from contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:

17 યે ચ પ્રેમ્ના ઘોષયન્તિ તે સુસંવાદસ્ય પ્રામાણ્યકરણેઽહં નિયુક્તોઽસ્મીતિ જ્ઞાત્વા તત્ કુર્વ્વન્તિ|

But the other from love, knowing that I am set for the defense of the gospel.

18 કિં બહુના? કાપટ્યાત્ સરલભાવાદ્ વા ભવેત્, યેન કેનચિત્ પ્રકારેણ ખ્રીષ્ટસ્ય ઘોષણા ભવતીત્યસ્મિન્ અહમ્ આનન્દામ્યાનન્દિષ્યામિ ચ|

What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yes, and will rejoice.

19 યુષ્માકં પ્રાર્થનયા યીશુખ્રીષ્ટસ્યાત્મનશ્ચોપકારેણ તત્ મન્નિસ્તારજનકં ભવિષ્યતીતિ જાનામિ|

For I know that this will turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

20 તત્ર ચ મમાકાઙ્ક્ષા પ્રત્યાશા ચ સિદ્ધિં ગમિષ્યતિ ફલતોઽહં કેનાપિ પ્રકારેણ ન લજ્જિષ્યે કિન્તુ ગતે સર્વ્વસ્મિન્ કાલે યદ્વત્ તદ્વદ્ ઇદાનીમપિ સમ્પૂર્ણોત્સાહદ્વારા મમ શરીરેણ ખ્રીષ્ટસ્ય મહિમા જીવને મરણે વા પ્રકાશિષ્યતે|

According to my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but [that] with all boldness, as always, [so] now also, Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life, or by death.

21 યતો મમ જીવનં ખ્રીષ્ટાય મરણઞ્ચ લાભાય|

For to me to live [is] Christ, and to die [is] gain.

22 કિન્તુ યદિ શરીરે મયા જીવિતવ્યં તર્હિ તત્ કર્મ્મફલં ફલિષ્યતિ તસ્માત્ કિં વરિતવ્યં તન્મયા ન જ્ઞાયતે|

But if I live in the flesh, this [is] the fruit of my labor: yet what I shall choose I know not.

23 દ્વાભ્યામ્ અહં સમ્પીડ્યે, દેહવાસત્યજનાય ખ્રીષ્ટેન સહવાસાય ચ મમાભિલાષો ભવતિ યતસ્તત્ સર્વ્વોત્તમં|

For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

24 કિન્તુ દેહે મમાવસ્થિત્યા યુષ્માકમ્ અધિકપ્રયોજનં|

Nevertheless, to abide in the flesh [is] more needful for you.

25 અહમ્ અવસ્થાસ્યે યુષ્માભિઃ સર્વ્વૈઃ સાર્દ્ધમ્ અવસ્થિતિં કરિષ્યે ચ તયા ચ વિશ્વાસે યુષ્માકં વૃદ્ધ્યાનન્દૌ જનિષ્યેતે તદહં નિશ્ચિતં જાનામિ|

And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith;

26 તેન ચ મત્તોઽર્થતો યુષ્મત્સમીપે મમ પુનરુપસ્થિતત્વાત્ યૂયં ખ્રીષ્ટેન યીશુના બહુતરમ્ આહ્લાદં લપ્સ્યધ્વે|

That your rejoicing for me may be more abundant in Jesus Christ by my coming to you again.

27 યૂયં સાવધાના ભૂત્વા ખ્રીષ્ટસ્ય સુસંવાદસ્યોપયુક્તમ્ આચારં કુરુધ્વં યતોઽહં યુષ્માન્ ઉપાગત્ય સાક્ષાત્ કુર્વ્વન્ કિં વા દૂરે તિષ્ઠન્ યુષ્માકં યાં વાર્ત્તાં શ્રોતુમ્ ઇચ્છામિ સેયં યૂયમ્ એકાત્માનસ્તિષ્ઠથ, એકમનસા સુસંવાદસમ્બન્ધીયવિશ્વાસસ્ય પક્ષે યતધ્વે, વિપક્ષૈશ્ચ કેનાપિ પ્રકારેણ ન વ્યાકુલીક્રિયધ્વ ઇતિ|

Only let your manner of life be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

28 તત્ તેષાં વિનાશસ્ય લક્ષણં યુષ્માકઞ્ચેશ્વરદત્તં પરિત્રાણસ્ય લક્ષણં ભવિષ્યતિ|

And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God.

29 યતો યેન યુષ્માભિઃ ખ્રીષ્ટે કેવલવિશ્વાસઃ ક્રિયતે તન્નહિ કિન્તુ તસ્ય કૃતે ક્લેશોઽપિ સહ્યતે તાદૃશો વરઃ ખ્રીષ્ટસ્યાનુરોધાદ્ યુષ્માભિઃ પ્રાપિ,

For to you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

30 તસ્માત્ મમ યાદૃશં યુદ્ધં યુષ્માભિરદર્શિ સામ્પ્રતં શ્રૂયતે ચ તાદૃશં યુદ્ધં યુષ્માકમ્ અપિ ભવતિ|

Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, [and] now hear [to be] in me.
