૨ કરિન્થિનઃ 3
1 વયં કિમ્ આત્મપ્રશંસનં પુનરારભામહે? યુષ્માન્ પ્રતિ યુષ્મત્તો વા પરેષાં કેષાઞ્ચિદ્ ઇવાસ્માકમપિ કિં પ્રશંસાપત્રેષુ પ્રયોજનમ્ આસ્તે?
Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some [others], epistles of commendation to you, or [letters] of commendation from you.
2 યૂયમેવાસ્માકં પ્રશંસાપત્રં તચ્ચાસ્માકમ્ અન્તઃકરણેષુ લિખિતં સર્વ્વમાનવૈશ્ચ જ્ઞેયં પઠનીયઞ્ચ|
Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men:
3 યતો ઽસ્માભિઃ સેવિતં ખ્રીષ્ટસ્ય પત્રં યૂયપેવ, તચ્ચ ન મસ્યા કિન્ત્વમરસ્યેશ્વરસ્યાત્મના લિખિતં પાષાણપત્રેષુ તન્નહિ કિન્તુ ક્રવ્યમયેષુ હૃત્પત્રેષુ લિખિતમિતિ સુસ્પષ્ટં|
[Forasmuch as ye are] manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not on tables of stone, but on fleshly tables of the heart.
4 ખ્રીષ્ટેનેશ્વરં પ્રત્યસ્માકમ્ ઈદૃશો દૃઢવિશ્વાસો વિદ્યતે;
And such trust we have through Christ toward God.
5 વયં નિજગુણેન કિમપિ કલ્પયિતું સમર્થા ઇતિ નહિ કિન્ત્વીશ્વરાદસ્માકં સામર્થ્યં જાયતે|
Not that we are sufficient by ourselves to think any thing as from ourselves; but our sufficiency [is] from God;
6 તેન વયં નૂતનનિયમસ્યાર્થતો ઽક્ષરસંસ્થાનસ્ય તન્નહિ કિન્ત્વાત્મન એવ સેવનસામર્થ્યં પ્રાપ્તાઃ| અક્ષરસંસ્થાનં મૃત્યુજનકં કિન્ત્વાત્મા જીવનદાયકઃ|
Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
7 અક્ષરૈ ર્વિલિખિતપાષાણરૂપિણી યા મૃત્યોઃ સેવા સા યદીદૃક્ તેજસ્વિની જાતા યત્તસ્યાચિરસ્થાયિનસ્તેજસઃ કારણાત્ મૂસસો મુખમ્ ઇસ્રાયેલીયલોકૈઃ સંદ્રષ્ટું નાશક્યત,
But if the ministration of death, written [and] engraven on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which [glory] was to be done away;
8 તર્હ્યાત્મનઃ સેવા કિં તતોઽપિ બહુતેજસ્વિની ન ભવેત્?
How shall not the ministration of the Spirit be rather glorious?
9 દણ્ડજનિકા સેવા યદિ તેજોયુક્તા ભવેત્ તર્હિ પુણ્યજનિકા સેવા તતોઽધિકં બહુતેજોયુક્તા ભવિષ્યતિ|
For if the ministration of condemnation [was] glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.
10 ઉભયોસ્તુલનાયાં કૃતાયામ્ એકસ્યાસ્તેજો દ્વિતીયાયાઃ પ્રખરતરેણ તેજસા હીનતેજો ભવતિ|
For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.
11 યસ્માદ્ યત્ લોપનીયં તદ્ યદિ તેજોયુક્તં ભવેત્ તર્હિ યત્ ચિરસ્થાયિ તદ્ બહુતરતેજોયુક્તમેવ ભવિષ્યતિ|
For if that which was done away [was] glorious, much more that which remaineth [is] glorious.
12 ઈદૃશીં પ્રત્યાશાં લબ્ધ્વા વયં મહતીં પ્રગલ્ભતાં પ્રકાશયામઃ|
Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
13 ઇસ્રાયેલીયલોકા યત્ તસ્ય લોપનીયસ્ય તેજસઃ શેષં ન વિલોકયેયુસ્તદર્થં મૂસા યાદૃગ્ આવરણેન સ્વમુખમ્ આચ્છાદયત્ વયં તાદૃક્ ન કુર્મ્મઃ|
And not as Moses, [who] put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not steadfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
14 તેષાં મનાંસિ કઠિનીભૂતાનિ યતસ્તેષાં પઠનસમયે સ પુરાતનો નિયમસ્તેનાવરણેનાદ્યાપિ પ્રચ્છન્નસ્તિષ્ઠતિ|
But their minds were blinded: for until this day the same vail remaineth untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which [vail] is done away in Christ.
15 તચ્ચ ન દૂરીભવતિ યતઃ ખ્રીષ્ટેનૈવ તત્ લુપ્યતે| મૂસસઃ શાસ્ત્રસ્ય પાઠસમયેઽદ્યાપિ તેષાં મનાંસિ તેનાવરણેન પ્રચ્છાદ્યન્તે|
But even to this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
16 કિન્તુ પ્રભું પ્રતિ મનસિ પરાવૃત્તે તદ્ આવરણં દૂરીકારિષ્યતે|
Nevertheless, when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
17 યઃ પ્રભુઃ સ એવ સ આત્મા યત્ર ચ પ્રભોરાત્મા તત્રૈવ મુક્તિઃ|
Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord [is], there [is] liberty.
18 વયઞ્ચ સર્વ્વેઽનાચ્છાદિતેનાસ્યેન પ્રભોસ્તેજસઃ પ્રતિબિમ્બં ગૃહ્લન્ત આત્મસ્વરૂપેણ પ્રભુના રૂપાન્તરીકૃતા વર્દ્ધમાનતેજોયુક્તાં તામેવ પ્રતિમૂર્ત્તિં પ્રાપ્નુમઃ|
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, [even] as by the Spirit of the Lord.
