< Yohanis 12 >
Lasarus naa, naeni atahori mana mateꞌ fo Yesus tao nasodꞌa baliꞌ a.
Then, six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was (the deceased whom He raised from the dead).
Marta mana lole-lau mei a. Lasarus endoꞌ naꞌabꞌue no Yesus sia mei a.
So they gave a dinner for Him there—Martha was serving, while Lazarus was one of those reclining at the table with Him.
Then Mary, bringing a pound of pure oil of nard, very costly, anointed Jesus' feet, and wiped His feet with her hair! And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil.
4 Te Yesus ana mana tunggan esa, naran Yudas Iskariot, dei fo mana seo hendi Yesus a, olaꞌ nae,
Then one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son (who was about to betray Him), said,
5 “Woi! Taꞌo bee de ana nda seo mina maꞌameniꞌ ia sa? Huu felin baꞌu onaꞌ atahori sa nggadꞌin too esa. Malole lenaꞌ seo e, fo doin fee neu atahori mana tudꞌa-loloeꞌ ra!”
“Why wasn't this oil sold for 300 denarii and given to the poor?”
(Now he did not say this because the poor mattered to him, but because he was a thief and had the money box; and used to pilfer what was put in it.)
7 Te Yesus nataa nae, “Hela inaꞌ a tao taꞌo naa. Huu ana mbedaꞌ mina maꞌameniꞌ ia, fo sadia memaꞌ fee Au ao-sisi ngga fo raꞌoi Au.
So Jesus said: “Let her be; she has performed this with a view to my burial.
8 Atahori mana tudꞌa-loloeꞌ ra sia ro hei rakandooꞌ a sia taladꞌa mara.
For you always have the poor with you, but you do not always have me.”
9 Atahori Yahudi hetar bubꞌuluꞌ rae, Yesus sia kambo Betania. De ara rema rae rita E. Ara o rema rae rita Lasarus boe. Huu ara rena oi, Yesus tao nasodꞌa baliꞌ Lasarus mia mamaten ena.
Then a large crowd of the Jews learned that He was there; and they came, not only because of Jesus but also to see Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead.
10 Te malangga agama ra malangga nara ola-olaꞌ sangga dalaꞌ rae tao risa Lasarus boe.
So the chief priests decided to kill Lazarus as well,
11 Huu atahori Yahudi hetar rena soꞌal Lasarus dudꞌuin, de ara ramahere Yesus. Ara nda nau rena atahori Yahudi ra malangga nara sa ena.
in that because of him many of the Jews were defecting and believing into Jesus.
12 Mbilaꞌ neu ma, atahori hetar mana rema tungga fefeta Paska sia kota Yerusalem, rena rala rae, Yesus nae nema sia naa boe.
The next day a large crowd that had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming into Jerusalem,
13 De ara reu beta palma rooꞌ fo simbo rendiꞌ neu Yesus neneman, onaꞌ Eni atahori monaen. Boe ma ara nggasi randaa rae, “Hosana! Hai koa-kio Lamatualain! Huu Lamatualain natudꞌu rala malolen neu Israꞌel ra Manen, mana nema nendi Lamatualain naran!”
took branches from palm trees and went out to meet Him. And they started shouting: “Hosanna!” “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” “King of Israel!”
14 Boe ma Yesus hambu banda keledei tenaꞌ esa, de Ana sae neu ata. Naa onaꞌ nenesuraꞌ sia Lamatualain Susura Meumaren nae,
And finding a young donkey Jesus sat on it; just as it is written:
15 “Hei atahori kota Yerusalem, afiꞌ mimitau, o! Hei atahori kota ‘Sion’ ia, mete sia naa dei! Huu hei Manem nema ena! Ana nema sae keledei tenaꞌ esa.”
“Fear no more, daughter of Zion. Look, your King is coming, sitting on a donkey's colt!”
16 Leleꞌ naa, Yesus ana mana tungga nara nda rahine dalaꞌ ia ra sosoan sa. Te dei fo, leleꞌ Ana nasodꞌa baliꞌ mia mamaten, ma Lamatualain soꞌu nanaru E, dei de ara rasanedꞌa dala-dalaꞌ fo Lamatualain Susura Meumaren suraꞌ soꞌal Eni. Ara o rasanedꞌa atahori ia ra tatao nara mbali E boe.
(Now His disciples did not understand these things at first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written about Him, and they had done them to Him.)
17 Leleꞌ Yesus tao nasodꞌa baliꞌ Lasarus mia mamaten, ma noꞌe nala e dea nema mia rates a, hambu atahori hetar raꞌabꞌue ro Yesus. Dadꞌi ia na, ara dui-bꞌengga leli soꞌal saa fo dalahulun ara mete ritaꞌ a.
So the crowd that had been with Him when He called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to testify.
18 Naa de atahori hetar rema soru Yesus deka-deka no Yerusalem, huu ara rena rae, Ana tao manadadꞌi-manaseliꞌ ra ena.
That is also why the crowd met Him, because they heard that He had performed this sign.
19 De atahori Farisi ra ola-olaꞌ rae, “Cii! Mita dei! Basa atahori sia raefafoꞌ ia sebꞌo-mue fo rae tungga E! Dei fo neu mateꞌen, hita mana susa! Mete ma taꞌo naa, na, hita tae tao taꞌo bee fai?”
So the Pharisees said among themselves: “You can see that you are not making any difference! Just look, the world has gone off after Him!”
20 Hambu atahori Yunani hira o rema sia kota Yerusalem ramaloloꞌ ro atahori laen ra, fo rae tungga fefeta Paska sia naa. Ara rae beꞌutee neu Lamatualain sia naa boe.
Now there were some Greeks among those who went up to worship at the feast.
21 Boe ma ara rema randaa ro Filipus, mana nema mia kambo Betsaida sia profinsi Galilea. Ara roꞌe rae, “Aꞌa! Hai mae mindaa mo Yesus.”
So these men approached Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and requested of him saying, “Sir, we want to see Jesus.”
22 Basa de Filipus neu nafadꞌe Anderias. Boe ma ruꞌa se reu olaꞌ ro Yesus.
Philip goes and tells Andrew, and in turn Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.
23 De Yesus nafadꞌe ruꞌa se nae, “Au fai ngga nema ena. Dadꞌi Au musi mate dei, dei fo Lamatualain soꞌu nananaru Au. Naa tebꞌeꞌ! Ata taꞌasasamaꞌ no fini esa. Mete ma hita sela are fini dekeꞌ esa, na, ana musi noe sia rae rala, dei fo ana mori, fo nabuna-naboa hetar. Huu mete ma nda taꞌo naa sa, eni dadꞌiꞌ a are dekeꞌ esa taꞌo a naa ena.
But Jesus answered them saying: “The hour has come for the Son of the Man to be glorified.
Most assuredly I say to you, if a grain of wheat, having fallen into the ground, does not die, it remains alone; but if it dies it bears a lot of fruit.
25 Atahori nda mana taoafiꞌ neu Lamatualain hihiin sa, huu sue naseliꞌ masodꞌan sia raefafoꞌ ia, dei fo masodꞌaꞌ naa noe hendi e. Te atahori mana nahehere fee masodꞌan sia raefafoꞌ ia, dei fo hambu masodꞌa ndoo-tetuꞌ nda mana basaꞌ a sa. (aiōnios )
The one ‘loving’ his life will waste it, and the one ‘hating’ his life, in this world, will preserve it into eternal life.
If anyone would serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, my servant will be too. Further, if anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.
27 Yesus tute oꞌolan nae, “Au umedꞌa rala ngga susa. Te Au ae taꞌo bee fai? Au musi oꞌe ae, ‘Amaꞌ! Mboꞌiꞌ Au, naa fo au afiꞌ mate leleꞌ ia,’ do? Hokoꞌ! Au nda oꞌe taꞌo naa sa, huu Ana denu Au uma, fo mate.
“Now my soul is distressed, and what should I say—‘Father, rescue me from this hour’? But this is why I came to this hour—
28 Dadi Au oꞌe, taꞌo ia: ‘Amaꞌ. Hela neu, Au tunggaꞌ a Amaꞌ hihiin, naa fo basa atahori soꞌu rananaru Amaꞌ naran.’” Boe ma haraꞌ esa mia lalai a nae, “Au soꞌu unanaru nara Ngga ena. Ma Au ae soꞌu unanaru seluꞌ fai.”
‘Father, glorify your name!’” Then a Voice came out of Heaven, “I have both glorified it and will glorify it again!”
Lalai a ndukurulu!” Hambu atahori ruma fai rae, “Hokoꞌ! Lamatualain aten esa mia sorga ola-olaꞌ no E.”
So the crowd that was standing by and listening said that it had thundered. Others said, “An angel has spoken to Him.”
30 Te Yesus nafadꞌe nae, “Haraꞌ naa faꞌ ra, soaꞌ neu nggi, nda soaꞌ neu Au sa.
Jesus answered and said: “It was not for my sake that this Voice came, but for your sakes.
31 Leleꞌ ia, atahori sia raefafoꞌ ia musi rataa mbali Lamatualain, fo Ana naꞌetuꞌ dedꞌeat nara. Ana nae use-oi hendi mana tao deꞌulakaꞌ mana toꞌu parendaꞌ sia raefafoꞌ ia.
Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be thrown out.
While I, if I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all people to myself.”
33 (Eni oꞌolan taꞌo naa, fo natudꞌu dei fo Eni mate no dalaꞌ onaꞌ bee.)
(Now He said this to indicate by what kind of death He was about to die.)
34 Basa ma, atahori mana sia naa ra ratane rae, “Hai parna rena mia Lamatualain Hohoro-lalanen nae, dei fo Kristus nasodꞌa nakandoo. Naa, Kristus no Atahori Matetuꞌ naa, ona esaꞌ, to? Dadꞌi taꞌo bee de malangga nae, ‘Dei fo ara londa Atahori Matetuꞌ a sia hau ngganggeꞌ a?’ Atahori Matetuꞌ naa, seka?” (aiōn )
The people answered Him: “We have heard from the Law that the Messiah remains forever; and so how can you say, ‘The Son of the Man must be lifted up’? Who is this ‘the Son of the Man’?”
Then Jesus said to them: “The Light will be with you just a little longer. Walk while you have the light, so that darkness does not overtake you; the one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going.
36 Leleꞌ Au manggarelo ngga, feꞌe sia, hei musi mimihere Au, naa fo hei dadꞌi atahori mana nasodꞌa sia manggareloꞌ a, bubꞌuluꞌ hei mii sia bee.” Yesus olaꞌ basa onaꞌ naa, ma Ana dinggoꞌ hela atahori naa ra, fo Eni bisa mesaꞌ ne.
While you have the Light, believe into the Light, so that you may become sons of light.” Jesus said these things, and going away He was hidden from them.
37 Mae Yesus tao manadadꞌi-manaseliꞌ hetar sia atahori hetar matan ena o, ara nda nau ramahere E sa.
Although He had performed so many signs in their presence, they were not believing into Him;
38 Naa onaꞌ Lamatualain mana ola-olan, Yesaya, parna olaꞌ memaꞌ nae, “Lamatuaꞌ e! Nda hambu atahori ramahere hai oꞌolam sa! Onaꞌ mae Lamatuaꞌ mutudꞌu koasa ma ena o, te atahori ra nda rita saa-saa sa boe!”
so that the word spoken by Isaiah the prophet should be fulfilled: “Lord, who has believed what we heard? And to whom has the arm of the Lord really been revealed?”
39 Naa de atahori Yahudi ra ruma nda bisa ramahere Lamatualain leleꞌ ia sa, onaꞌ Yesaya suraꞌ sia mamanaꞌ laen nae,
Therefore they were unable to believe, in that Isaiah said again:
40 “Lamatualain tao rala nara nda dudꞌuꞌa ralaꞌ sa, naa fo ara nda bisa rita saa sa boe. Ana hela rala nara boe manggateeꞌ, fo ara afiꞌ rahine no matetuꞌ. Hela se taꞌoꞌ a naa ena, fo ara afiꞌ heoꞌ baliꞌ sangga Au fai, ma Au o sudꞌi boe uꞌuhahaiꞌ se fai.”
“He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, lest they should see with their eyes and understand with their hearts and should turn around, and I would heal them.”
Isaiah said these things when he saw His glory and spoke concerning Him.
42 Onaꞌ mae taꞌo naa o, atahori hetar ramahere Yesus.
Nevertheless, even among the rulers many believed into Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, so they would not be expelled from the synagogue;
43 Malangga naa ra nda taoafiꞌ itaꞌ mae Lamatualain nae koa se do hokoꞌ sa, huu ara hii lenaꞌ simbo kokoat mia atahori.
for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
44 Basa ma Yesus olaꞌ nahereꞌ nae, “Atahori mana namahere Au a, ana nda namahere neu akaꞌ Au mesaꞌ nggo sa, te ana o namahere neu Mana denu Au a.
Jesus called out and said: “The one believing into me believes not into me but into Him who sent me.
And the one seeing me sees Him who sent me.
46 Au uma fo dadꞌi onaꞌ manggareloꞌ sia raefafoꞌ ia. Naa fo basa atahori mana ramahere Au a nda rasodꞌa sia maꞌahatuꞌ a sa.
I, Light, have come into the world so that everyone who believes into me will not remain in the darkness.
Also, if someone hears my words and does not believe, I do not judge him; because I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.
Huu mete ma losa fai mateteꞌen, Dedꞌea-oꞌola ngga fo Au olaꞌ itaꞌ ra, dei fo mana naꞌetuꞌ atahori mataꞌ naa ra huku-dokin.
The one who rejects me and does not receive my sayings has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken, that is what will judge him on the last day;
49 Huu Au nda parna olaꞌ endiꞌ akaꞌ Au mesaꞌ nggo nara Ngga sa. Te Au olaꞌ endiꞌ Ama ngga sia sorga naran. Huu Eni, mana denu Au. Ma Eni mana parenda fo Au musi olaꞌ saa.
because I have not spoken on my own, but the Father who sent me, He gave me a command, what I should say and what I should speak.
50 Au o bubꞌuluꞌ ae, Eni parendan nendi masodꞌa ndoo-tetuꞌ nda mana basaꞌ sa. Naa de Au oꞌola ngga tungga matetuꞌ no saa fo Ama ngga denu Au olaꞌ.” (aiōnios )
And I know that His command is eternal life. So whatever I say, I say it just like the Father told me.” (aiōnios )
