1 Врэжмаший луй Иуда ши Бениамин ау аузит кэ фиий робией зидеск ун темплу Домнулуй Думнезеулуй луй Исраел.

Now when the adversaries of Judah and Benjamin heard that the children of the captivity were building a temple unto the LORD, the God of Israel;

2 Ау венит ла Зоробабел ши ла капий де фамилий ши ле-ау зис: „Сэ зидим ши ной ку вой, кэч ши ной кемэм ка ши вой пе Думнезеул востру ши-Й адучем жертфе дин время луй Есар-Хадон, ымпэратул Асирией, каре не-а адус аич.”

then they drew near to Zerubbabel, and to the heads of fathers' houses, and said unto them: 'Let us build with you; for we seek your God, as ye do; and we do sacrifice unto Him since the days of Esarhaddon king of Assyria, who brought us up hither.'

3 Дар Зоробабел, Иосуа ши чейлалць капь ай фамилиилор луй Исраел ле-ау рэспунс: „Ну се кувине сэ зидиць ымпреунэ ку ной Каса Думнезеулуй ностру, чи ной сингурь о вом зиди Домнулуй Думнезеулуй луй Исраел, кум не-а порунчит ымпэратул Чирус, ымпэратул першилор.”

But Zerubbabel, and Jeshua, and the rest of the heads of fathers' houses of Israel, said unto them: 'Ye have nothing to do with us to build a house unto our God; but we ourselves together will build unto the LORD, the God of Israel, as king Cyrus the king of Persia hath commanded us.'

4 Атунч, оамений цэрий ау ынмуят инима попорулуй луй Иуда, л-ау ынфрикошат, ка сэ-л ымпедиче сэ зидяскэ,

Then the people of the land weakened the hands of the people of Judah, and harried them while they were building,

5 ши ау митуит ку прец де арӂинт пе сфетничь, ка сэ-й зэдэрничяскэ лукраря. Аша а фост тот тимпул веций луй Чирус, ымпэратул першилор, пынэ ла домния луй Дариус, ымпэратул першилор.

and hired counsellors against them, to frustrate their purpose, all the days of Cyrus king of Persia, even until the reign of Darius king of Persia.

6 Суб домния луй Асуерус, ла ынчепутул домнией луй, ау скрис о пырэ ымпотрива локуиторилор дин Иуда ши дин Иерусалим.

And in the reign of Ahasuerus, in the beginning of his reign, wrote they an accusation against the inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem.

7 Ши, пе время луй Артаксерксе, Бишлам, Митредат, Табеел ши чейлалць товарэшь де службэ ай лор, ау скрис луй Артаксерксе, ымпэратул першилор. Скрисоаря а фост скрисэ ку слове арамаиче ши тэлмэчитэ ын лимба арамаикэ.

And in the days of Artaxerxes wrote Bishlam, Mithredath, Tabeel, and the rest of his companions, unto Artaxerxes king of Persia; and the writing of the letter was written in the Aramaic character, and set forth in the Aramaic tongue.

8 Дрегэторул Рехум ши логофэтул Шимшай ау скрис ымпэратулуй Артаксерксе скрисоаря урмэтоаре ла Иерусалим.

Rehum the commander and Shimshai the scribe wrote a letter against Jerusalem to Artaxerxes the king in this sort —

9 Дрегэторул Рехум, логофэтул Шимшай ши чейлалць товарэшь де службэ ай лор, чей дин Дин, дин Арфарсатак, дин Тарпел, дин Афарас, дин Ерек, дин Бабилон, дин Суса, дин Деха, дин Елам

then wrote Rehum the commander, and Shimshai the scribe, and the rest of their companions; the Dinites, and the Apharesattechites, the Tarpelites, the Apharesites, the Archevites, the Babylonians, the Shushanchites, the Dehites, the Elamites,

10 ши челелалте попоаре пе каре ле-а мутат мареле ши веститул Оснапар ши ле-а ашезат ын четатя Самарией ши ын челелалте локурь де динкоаче де рыу ши аша май департе.

and the rest of the nations whom the great and noble Asenappar brought over, and set in the city of Samaria, and the rest that are in the country beyond the River: — 'And now —

11 Ятэ купринсул скрисорий пе каре ау тримис-о ымпэратулуй Артаксерксе: „Робий тэй, оамений де динкоаче де рыу, ши аша май департе.

this is the copy of the letter that they sent unto him, even unto Artaxerxes the king — thy servants the men beyond the River — and now

12 Сэ штие ымпэратул кэ иудеий плекаць де ла тине ши вениць принтре ной ла Иерусалим зидеск дин ноу четатя ачея рэзврэтитэ ши ря, ый ридикэ зидуриле ши-й дрег темелииле.

be it known unto the king, that the Jews that came up from thee are come to us unto Jerusalem; they are building the rebellious and the bad city, and have finished the walls, and are digging out the foundations.

13 Сэ штие дар ымпэратул кэ, дакэ се ва зиди четатя ачаста ши и се вор ридика зидуриле, ну вор май плэти нич бир, нич даре, нич дрепт де тречере, ши вистиерия ымпэрэтяскэ ва суфери дин причина ачаста.

Be it known now unto the king, that, if this city be builded, and the walls finished, they will not pay tribute, impost, or toll, and so thou wilt endamage the revenue of the kings.

14 Ши, фииндкэ ной мынкэм саря курций домнешть ши ну не шаде бине сэ ведем пе ымпэрат пэгубит, тримитем ымпэратулуй ачесте штирь.

Now because we eat the salt of the palace, and it is not meet for us to see the king's dishonour, therefore have we sent and announced to the king,

15 Сэ се факэ черчетэрь ын Картя Кроничилор пэринцилор тэй ши вей гэси ши вей ведя ын Картя Кроничилор кэ четатя ачаста есте о четате рэзврэтитэ, вэтэмэтоаре ымпэрацилор ши цинутурилор ши кэ с-а дедат ла рэскоалэ ынкэ дин времурь стрэбуне. Де ачея а фост нимичитэ четатя ачаста.

that search may be made in the book of the records of thy fathers; so shalt thou find in the book of the records, and know that this city is a rebellious city, and hurtful unto kings and provinces, and that they have moved sedition within the same of old time; for which cause was this city laid waste.

16 Фачем куноскут ымпэратулуй кэ, дакэ ва фи зидитэ дин ноу четатя ачаста ши дакэ и се вор ридика зидуриле, прин кяр фаптул ачеста ну вей май авя стэпынире динкоаче де рыу.”

We announce to the king that, if this city be builded, and the walls finished, by this means thou shalt have no portion beyond the River.'

17 Ятэ рэспунсул тримис де ымпэрат дрегэторулуй Рехум, логофэтулуй Шимшай ши челорлалць товарэшь ай луй де службэ, каре локуяу ла Самария ши ын алте локурь де чялалтэ парте а рыулуй. „Сэнэтате ши аша май департе.

Then sent the king an answer unto Rehum the commander, and to Shimshai the scribe, and to the rest of their companions that dwell in Samaria, and unto the rest beyond the River: 'Peace, and now

18 Скрисоаря пе каре не-аць тримис-о а фост чититэ ынтокмай ынаинтя мя.

the letter which ye sent unto us hath been plainly read before me.

19 Ам дат порункэ сэ се факэ черчетэрь ши с-а гэсит кэ, дин времурь векь, четатя ачаста с-а рэскулат ымпотрива ымпэрацилор ши с-а дедат ла рэскоалэ ши ла рэзврэтире.

And I decreed, and search hath been made, and it is found that this city of old time hath made insurrection against kings, and that rebellion and sedition have been made therein.

20 Ау фост ла Иерусалим ымпэраць путерничь, стэпынь песте тоатэ цара де динколо де рыу ши кэрора ли се плэтя бир, даре ши дрепт де тречере пе друм.

There have been mighty kings also over Jerusalem, who have ruled over all the country beyond the River; and tribute, impost, and toll, was paid unto them.

21 Ка урмаре, порунчиць сэ ынчетезе лукрэриле оаменилор ачелора ши сэ ну се май зидяскэ четатя ачаста пынэ че ну вор авя о ынвоире дин партя мя.

Make ye now a decree to cause these men to cease, and that this city be not builded, until a decree shall be made by me.

22 Ведець сэ ну вэ абатець де ла порунка ачаста, ка сэ ну кряскэ рэул ачела спре пагуба ымпэрацилор.”

And take heed that ye be not slack herein; why should damage grow to the hurt of the kings?'

23 Ындатэ че с-а читит купринсул скрисорий ымпэратулуй Артаксерксе ынаинтя луй Рехум, ынаинтя логофэтулуй Шимшай ши ынаинтя товарэшилор лор де службэ, с-ау дус ын грабэ ла Иерусалим, ла иудей, ши й-ау оприт ку силэ ши ку путере де ла лукрэриле лор.

Then when the copy of king Artaxerxes' letter was read before Rehum, and Shimshai the scribe, and their companions, they went in haste to Jerusalem unto the Jews, and made them to cease by force and power.

24 Атунч с-а оприт лукраря Касей луй Думнезеу ла Иерусалим ши а фост опритэ пынэ ын анул ал дойля ал домнией луй Дариус, ымпэратул першилор.

Then ceased the work of the house of God which is at Jerusalem; and it ceased unto the second year of the reign of Darius king of Persia.
