Proverbe 15
1 Un răspuns blând înlătură furia, dar cuvintele apăsătoare întărâtă mânia.
A soft answer turneth away fury; but a grievous word stirreth up anger.
2 Limba înțelepților folosește corect cunoașterea, dar gura proștilor revarsă nechibzuință.
The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright; but the mouth of the foolish poureth out folly.
3 Ochii DOMNULUI sunt în fiecare loc, privind răul și binele.
The eyes of Jehovah are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.
4 O limbă sănătoasă este un pom al vieții, dar perversitate în ea este o spărtură în duh.
Gentleness of tongue is a tree of life; but crookedness therein is a breaking of the spirit.
5 Un nebun disprețuiește instruirea tatălui său, dar cel ce dă atenție mustrării este chibzuit.
A fool despiseth his father's instruction; but he that regardeth reproof becometh prudent.
6 În casa celui drept este mult tezaur, dar în veniturile celui stricat este tulburare.
In the house of a righteous [man] is much treasure; but in the revenue of a wicked [man] is disturbance.
7 Buzele celor înțelepți răspândesc cunoaștere, dar inima proștilor nu face la fel.
The lips of the wise disperse knowledge, but not so the heart of the foolish.
8 Sacrificiul celor stricați este urâciune pentru DOMNUL, dar rugăciunea celor integri este desfătarea lui.
The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to Jehovah; but the prayer of the upright is his delight.
9 Calea celui stricat este urâciune pentru DOMNUL, dar el iubește pe cel ce urmează dreptatea.
The way of a wicked [man] is an abomination to Jehovah; but him that pursueth righteousness he loveth.
10 Disciplinarea este apăsătoare pentru cel ce părăsește calea, iar cel ce urăște mustrarea va muri.
Grievous correction is for him that forsaketh the path; he that hateth reproof shall die.
11 Iad și distrugere sunt înaintea DOMNULUI; cu cât mai mult sunt atunci inimile copiilor oamenilor. (Sheol h7585)
Sheol and destruction are before Jehovah; how much more then the hearts of the children of men! (Sheol h7585)
12 Un batjocoritor nu iubește pe cel care îl mustră, nici nu se va duce la cei înțelepți.
A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him; he will not go unto the wise.
13 O inimă veselă face înfățișarea voioasă, dar prin întristarea inimii duhul este frânt.
A joyful heart maketh a cheerful countenance; but by sorrow of heart the spirit is broken.
14 Inima celui ce are înțelegere caută cunoaștere, dar gura proștilor se hrănește din nechibzuință.
The heart of an intelligent [man] seeketh knowledge; but the mouth of the foolish feedeth on folly.
15 Toate zilele celui nenorocit sunt rele, dar cel cu o inimă veselă are un ospăț neîncetat.
All the days of the afflicted are evil; but a cheerful heart is a continual feast.
16 Mai bine puțin, cu teamă de DOMNUL, decât mare tezaur cu tulburare.
Better is little with the fear of Jehovah than great store and disquietude therewith.
17 Mai bine o masă cu verdețuri unde este iubire, decât boul legat la iesle și ura cu el.
Better is a meal of herbs where love is, than a fatted ox and hatred therewith.
18 Un om furios stârnește certuri, dar cel încet la mânie liniștește cearta.
A furious man stirreth up contention; but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.
19 Calea leneșului este ca o îngrăditură de spini, dar calea celor drepți este netezită.
The way of the sluggard is as a hedge of thorns; but the path of the upright is made plain.
20 Un fiu înțelept face veselie tatălui, dar un om prost disprețuiește pe mama sa.
A wise son maketh a glad father; but a foolish man despiseth his mother.
21 Nechibzuința este bucurie pentru cel lipsit de înțelepciune, dar un om al înțelegerii umblă cu integritate.
Folly is joy to him that is void of sense; but a man of understanding regulateth his walk.
22 Fără sfat, scopurile sunt dezamăgite, dar în mulțimea sfătuitorilor sunt ele întemeiate.
Without counsel purposes are disappointed; but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.
23 Un om are bucurie prin răspunsul gurii sale; și ce bun este un cuvânt spus la timpul potrivit!
A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth; and a word in its season, how good is it!
24 Pentru cel înțelept calea vieții este deasupra, ca el să se depărteze de iadul de dedesubt. (Sheol h7585)
The path of life is upwards for the wise, that he may depart from Sheol beneath. (Sheol h7585)
25 DOMNUL va dărâma casa celui mândru, dar el va întemeia hotarul văduvei.
Jehovah plucketh up the house of the proud; but he establisheth the boundary of the widow.
26 Gândurile celor stricați sunt urâciune pentru DOMNUL, dar cuvintele celor puri sunt cuvinte plăcute.
The thoughts of the evil [man] are an abomination to Jehovah; but pure words are pleasant.
27 Cel lacom de câștig își tulbură casa, dar cel ce urăște mitele, va trăi.
He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live.
28 Inima celui drept studiază ca să răspundă, dar gura celor stricați revarsă lucruri rele.
The heart of a righteous [man] studieth to answer; but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.
29 DOMNUL este departe de cei stricați, dar el ascultă rugăciunea celor drepți.
Jehovah is far from the wicked; but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.
30 Lumina ochilor bucură inima, și o veste bună îngrașă oasele.
That which enlighteneth the eyes rejoiceth the heart; good tidings make the bones fat.
31 Urechea care ascultă mustrarea vieții locuiește printre cei înțelepți.
The ear that heareth the reproof of life shall abide among the wise.
32 Cel ce refuză instruirea își disprețuiește propriul său suflet, dar cel ce ascultă mustrarea obține înțelegere.
He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul; but he that heareth reproof getteth sense.
33 Teama de DOMNUL este instruirea înțelepciunii, și înaintea onoarei este umilința.
The fear of Jehovah is the discipline of wisdom, and before honour [goeth] humility.
