1 Cronici 16

1 Astfel au adus chivotul lui Dumnezeu și l-au așezat în mijlocul cortului pe care David l-a ridicat pentru el; și au oferit sacrificii arse și ofrande de pace înaintea lui Dumnezeu.

So they brought in the ark of God, and placed it in the midst of the tent, which David had pitched for it, —and they brought near ascending-sacrifices and peace-offerings, before God.

2 Și când David a sfârșit oferirea ofrandelor arse și a ofrandelor de pace, a binecuvântat poporul în numele DOMNULUI.

And, when David had made an end of offering the ascending-sacrifices, and the peace-offerings, he blessed the people, in the name of Yahweh.

3 Și a împărțit fiecăruia din Israel, deopotrivă bărbat și femeie, fiecăruia o pâine și o bucată bună de carne și un ulcior de vin.

And he apportioned, to every one of Israel, both man and woman, —to every one, a loaf of bread, and a sweet drink, and a raisin cake.

4 Și a rânduit leviți să servească înaintea chivotului DOMNULUI și să mărturisească și să mulțumească și să laude pe DOMNUL Dumnezeul lui Israel,

And he placed before the ark of Yahweh certain of the Levites, as attendants, —and to celebrate, and to give thanks and render praise, unto Yahweh, God of Israel;

5 Asaf, mai marele; și lângă el, Zaharia, Ieiel și Șemiramot și Iehiel și Matitia și Eliab și Benaia și Obed-Edom; și Ieiel cu psalterioane și cu harpe; dar Asaf suna cu chimvale,

Asaph the chief, and, second to him, Zechariah, —Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, with instruments of harps, and with lyres, and Asaph with cymbals, sounding aloud:

6 Benaia de asemenea și Iahaziel, preoții, cu trâmbițe erau continuu înaintea chivotului legământului lui Dumnezeu.

and Benaiah and Jahaziel, the priests, —with trumpets continually, before the ark of the covenant of God.

7 Atunci în acea zi David a dat întâi acest psalm, în mâna lui Asaf și a fraților săi, pentru a mulțumi DOMNULUI.

On that day, then, David gave [these songs] in chief, to give thanks unto Yahweh, —through Asaph, and his brethren: —

8 Aduceți mulțumiri DOMNULUI; chemați numele lui, faceți cunoscute faptele lui printre popoare.

Give ye thanks to Yahweh, Call upon his name, Make known among the peoples, his doings;

9 Cântați-i, cântați-i psalmi, vorbiți despre toate lucrările lui minunate.

Sing ye to him, Make music unto him, Speak ye of all his wonders.

10 Glorificați-vă în sfântul său nume, să se bucure inima celor ce caută pe DOMNUL.

Boast yourselves in his holy name, Joyful be the heart of them who are seeking Yahweh.

11 Căutați pe DOMNUL și puterea lui, căutați neîncetat fața lui.

Search out Yahweh, and his power, Seek diligently his face, at all times.

12 Amintiți-vă lucrările lui minunate pe care le-a făcut; minunile lui și judecățile gurii sale;

Remember his wonders which he hath done, His splendid deeds, and the just decisions of his mouth.

13 Voi, sămânță a lui Israel, servitorul lui, copii ai lui Iacob, aleșii lui.

O ye seed of Israel his servant, sons of Jacob his chosen ones:

14 El este DOMNUL Dumnezeul nostru, judecățile lui sunt pe tot pământul.

Yahweh himself, is our God, through all the land, are his just decisions.

15 Amintiți-vă legământul său întotdeauna, cuvântul pe care l-a poruncit la o mie de generații.

Remember yea to times age-abiding, his covenant, the word he hath commanded, to a thousand generations;

16 Legământ pe care l-a făcut cu Avraam și jurământul său lui Isaac;

Which he solemnised with Abraham, and his oath, to Isaac;

17 Și a întărit același legământ lui Iacob ca lege și lui Israel ca legământ veșnic,

And confirmed it, unto Jacob, for a statute, unto Israel, as a covenant age-abiding:

18 Spunând: Ție îți voi da țara Canaanului, sorțul moștenirii tale;

Saying, To thee, will I give the land of Canaan, as your inherited portion:

19 Când ați fost doar puțini la număr; da, doar puțini; și străini în țară.

While, as yet, ye were men who could be counted, a very few, and sojourners therein:

20 Și când au mers de la o națiune la alta, de la o împărăție la alt popor;

And they wandered from nation to nation, and from one kingdom, to another people:

21 El nu a permis niciunui om să le facă rău; da, a mustrat împărați pentru ei,

He suffered no man to oppress them, And reproved—for their sakes—kings!

22 Spunând: Nu atingeți pe unșii mei și nu faceți rău profeților mei.

Ye may not touch mine Anointed ones, And, to my Prophets, may ye do no wrong.

23 Cântați DOMNULUI, tot pământul; arătați zi de zi salvarea lui.

Sing to Yahweh, all the earth, Tell the tidings, from day to day, of his salvation:

24 Vestiți gloria lui printre păgâni și lucrările lui minunate printre toate națiunile.

Recount, among the nations, his glory, among all the peoples, his wonders.

25 Pentru că mare este DOMNUL și demn de a fi mult lăudat, el de asemenea este de temut deasupra tuturor dumnezeilor.

For great is Yahweh, and worthy to be mightily praised, and to be revered is he above all gods;

26 Căci toți dumnezeii popoarelor sunt idoli, dar DOMNUL a făcut cerurile.

For, all the gods of the peoples, are things of nought, but, Yahweh, made, the heavens.

27 Glorie și onoare sunt în prezența lui, tărie și veselie sunt în locul său.

Praise and majesty, are before him, Strength and joy, are in his dwelling-place.

28 Dați DOMNULUI familii de popoare; dați DOMNULUI glorie și tărie.

Give to Yahweh, ye families of the peoples, Give to Yahweh, glory and strength:

29 Dați DOMNULUI gloria datorată numelui său; aduceți ofrandă și veniți înaintea lui; închinați-vă DOMNULUI în frumusețea sfințeniei.

Give to Yahweh, the glory of his name, —Bring ye a present, and enter before him, Bow down to Yahweh, in the adornment of holiness:

30 Temeți-vă înaintea lui, tot pământul; lumea de asemenea va fi întemeiată, încât nu se va clătina.

Tremble at his presence, all the earth, But the world, shall be established, it shall not be shaken.

31 Să se veselească cerurile și să se bucure pământul; și să spună oamenii printre națiuni: DOMNUL domnește.

Let the heavens rejoice, and the earth exult, Let them say among the nations, Yahweh, hath become king!

32 Să urle marea și plinătatea ei; să se bucure câmpurile și tot ce este pe ele.

Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof, Let the field leap for joy, and all that is therein:

33 Atunci vor cânta copacii pădurii la prezența DOMNULUI, deoarece el vine să judece pământul.

Then, shall shout in triumph, the trees of the forest, before Yahweh, for he is coming, to judge the earth.

34 Aduceți mulțumiri DOMNULUI, pentru că este bun, că a lui milă dăinuiește pentru totdeauna.

Give ye thanks unto Yahweh, For he is good, For, age-abiding, is his lovingkindness.

35 Și spuneți: Salvează-ne, Dumnezeu al salvării noastre și adună-ne și eliberează-ne de păgâni, ca să aducem mulțumiri numelui tău sfânt și să ne glorificăm în lauda ta.

And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us and deliver us, from among the nations, —that we may give thanks unto thy holy name, that we may triumph aloud in thy praise.

36 Binecuvântat fie DOMNUL Dumnezeul lui Israel pentru totdeauna și întotdeauna. Și tot poporul a spus: Amin; și a lăudat pe DOMNUL.

Blessed be Yahweh, God of Israel, from one age even to another age. Then said all the people, Amen, And gave praise to Yahweh.

37 Astfel a lăsat acolo înaintea chivotului legământului DOMNULUI pe Asaf și pe frații lui, să servească neîncetat înaintea chivotului, precum cerea lucrarea fiecărei zile;

So he left there, before the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, Asaph and his brethren, —to be in attendance before the ark continually, for the duty of a day on its day;

38 Și pe Obed-Edom cu frații lui, șaizeci și opt; pe Obed-Edom de asemenea, fiul lui Iedutun, și pe Hosa să fie portari;

and Obed-edom with his brethren, sixty-eight, —and Obed-edom son of Jedithun and Hosah to be doorkeepers;

39 Și pe preotul Țadoc și frații săi, preoții, înaintea tabernacolului DOMNULUI pe înălțimea care era la Gabaon,

and Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the habitation of Yahweh, —in the high place that was in Gibeon:

40 Pentru a aduce ofrande arse DOMNULUI pe altarul ofrandei arse, neîncetat, dimineața și seara; și pentru a face conform cu tot ce este scris în legea DOMNULUI, pe care i-a poruncit-o lui Israel;

to offer ascending-sacrifices unto Yahweh, upon the altar of ascending-sacrifice, —continually, morning and evening, —even according to all that is written in the law of Yahweh, which he commanded concerning Israel;

41 Și cu ei pe Heman și Iedutun, și restul care au fost aleși, care au fost chemați pe nume, să dea mulțumiri DOMNULUI, că a lui milă dăinuiește pentru totdeauna;

and, with them, Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest of the chosen ones, who were distinguished by name, —to give thanks unto Yahweh, For, age-abiding, is his lovingkindness!

42 Și cu ei au fost Heman și Iedutun cu trâmbițe și chimvale și cu instrumentele muzicale ale lui Dumnezeu, pentru aceia care trebuiau să sune. Și fiii lui Iedutun erau portari.

And, with them, Heman and Jeduthun, [with] the trumpets, and the cymbals, for sounding aloud, and the instruments for the songs of God, —and the sons of Jeduthun, for the gate.

43 Și tot poporul a plecat, fiecare om la casa lui, iar David s-a întors să binecuvânteze casa lui.

And all the people departed, every man to his house, —and David went round, to bless his own household.
