Cantares de Salomâo 8
1 Como gostaria que tu fosses como meu irmão, que mamava os seios de minha mãe. Quando eu te achasse na rua, eu te beijaria, e não me desprezariam.
O that thou wert as my brother, that was nourished at the breasts of my mother! when I should find thee outside, I would kiss thee; yea, I should not be despised.
2 Eu te levaria e te traria à casa de minha mãe, aquela que me ensinou, e te daria a beber do vinho aromático, do suco de minhas romãs.
I would lead thee, and bring thee into my mother’s house, who would instruct me: I would cause thee to drink of spiced wine of the juice of my pomegranate.
3 Esteja sua mão esquerda debaixo de minha cabeça, e sua direita me abrace.
His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.
4 Eu vos ordeno, filhas de Jerusalém: jurai que não acordeis, nem desperteis ao amor, até que ele queira.
I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, that ye stir not, nor awake my love, until he please.
5 [Outros]: Quem é esta, que sobe da terra desabitada, reclinada sobre seu amado? [Ela]: Debaixo de uma macieira te despertei; ali tua mãe te teve com dores; ali te deu à luz aquela que te gerou.
Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? I awakened thee under the apple tree: there thy mother brought thee forth: there she brought thee forth that bore thee.
6 Põe-me como selo sobre o teu coração, como selo sobre o teu braço; porque o amor é forte como a morte, e o ciúme é severo como o Xeol; suas brasas são brasas de fogo, labaredas intensas. (Sheol h7585)
Set me as a seal upon thy heart, as a seal upon thy arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals of it are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame. (Sheol h7585)
7 Muitas águas não poderiam apagar este amor, nem os rios afogá-lo; ainda que alguém desse todos os bens de sua casa por este amor, certamente o desprezariam.
Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be despised.
8 [Irmãos dela]: Temos uma irmã pequena, que ainda não têm seios; que faremos a esta nossa irmã, no dia que dela falarem?
We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts: what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for?
9 Se ela for um muro, edificaremos sobre ela um palácio de prata; e se ela for uma porta, então a cercaremos com tábuas de cedro.
If she is a wall, we will build upon her a palace of silver: and if she is a door, we will inclose her with boards of cedar.
10 [Ela]: Eu sou um muro, e meus seios como torres; então eu era aos olhos dele, como aquela que encontra a paz.
I am a wall, and my breasts like towers: then was I in his eyes as one that found favour.
11 Salomão teve uma vinha em Baal-Hamom; ele entregou esta vinha a uns guardas, e cada um [lhe] trazia como [faturamento] de seus frutos mil [moedas] de prata.
Solomon had a vineyard at Baalhamon; he let out the vineyard to keepers; every one for the fruit of it was to bring a thousand pieces of silver.
12 Minha vinha, que me pertence, está à minha disposição; as mil [moedas] de prata são para ti, Salomão, e duzentas para os guardas de teu fruto.
My vineyard, which is mine, is before me: thou, O Solomon, must have a thousand, and those that keep the fruit of it two hundred.
13 [Ele]: Ó tu que habitas nos jardins, teus colegas prestam atenção à tua voz: faze com que eu [também possa] ouvi-la.
Thou that dwellest in the gardens, the companions hearken to thy voice: cause me to hear it.
14 [Ela]: Vem depressa, meu amado! E faze-te semelhante ao corço, ao filhote de cervos, nas montanhas de ervas aromáticas!
Make haste, my beloved, and be thou like a roe or a young hart upon the mountains of spices.
