Salmos 97
1 O SENHOR reina; que a terra se encha de alegria; alegrem-se as muitas ilhas.
Yahweh, hath become king, Let the earth exult, Let the multitude of coastlands rejoice.
2 Nuvens e escuridão há ao redor dele; justiça e juízo são a base de seu trono.
Clouds and thick darkness, are round about him, Righteousness and justice, are the establishing of his throne.
3 Fogo vai adiante dele, que inflama seus adversários ao redor.
Fire, before him, proceedeth, That it may consume, round about, his adversaries.
4 Seus relâmpagos iluminam o mundo; a terra os vê, e treme.
His lightnings, have illumined, the world, The earth, hath seen, and hath trembled;
5 Os montes se derretem como cera na presença do SENHOR, na presença do Senhor de toda a terra.
The mountains, like wax, have melted, At the presence of Yahweh, At the presence, of the Lord of all the earth.
6 Os céus anunciam sua justiça, e todos os povos veem sua glória.
The heavens, have declared, his righteousness, —And all the peoples, have seen, his glory.
7 Sejam envergonhados todos os que servem a imagens, e os que se orgulham de ídolos; prostrai-vos diante dele todos os deuses.
Let all who serve an image, be ashamed, They who boast themselves in things of nought, Bow down unto him, all ye gods.
8 Sião ouviu, e se alegrou; e as filhas de Judá tiveram muita alegria, por causa de teus juízos, SENHOR;
Zion, hath heard and rejoiced, And the daughters of Judah, have exulted, Because of thy righteous decisions, O Yahweh:
9 Pois tu, SENHOR, és o Altíssimo sobre toda a terra; tu és muito mais elevado que todos os deuses.
For, thou, Yahweh, art Most High over all the earth, Greatly hast thou exalted thyself above all gods.
10 Vós que amais ao SENHOR: odiai o mal; ele guarda a alma de seus santos, [e] os resgata da mão dos perversos.
Ye lovers of Yahweh! be haters of wrong, —He preserveth the lives of his men of lovingkindness, From the hand of the lawless, will he rescue them.
11 A luz é semeada para o justo, e a alegria para os corretos de coração.
Light, is sown for the righteous one, And, for the upright in heart, rejoicing:
12 Vós justos, alegrai-vos no SENHOR; e agradecei em memória de sua santidade.
Rejoice, ye righteous, in Yahweh, And give ye thanks, at the mention of his holiness.
