Salmos 3
1 Salmo de Davi, quando ele fugia da presença de seu filho Absalão: Ah SENHOR, como têm se multiplicado meus adversários! Muitos se levantam contra mim.
[A Psalm by David, when he fled from Absalom his son.] LORD, how my adversaries have increased. Many rise up against me.
2 Muitos dizem de minha alma: Não há salvação para ele em Deus.(Selá)
Many there are who say of my soul, "There is no salvation for him in God." (Selah)
3 Porém tu, SENHOR, és escudo para mim; minha glória, e o que levanta minha cabeça.
But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.
4 Com minha voz eu clamei ao SENHOR; e ele me ouviu desde o monte de sua santidade. (Selá)
I cried out to the LORD with my voice, and he answered me from his holy mountain. (Selah)
5 Eu me deitei, e dormi; acordei, porque o SENHOR me sustentava.
I lay down and slept. I awoke, for the LORD sustains me.
6 Eu não temerei [ainda que sejam] dez mil pessoas que se ponham ao redor de mim.
I am not afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me on every side.
7 Levanta-te, SENHOR, salva-me, meu Deus; pois feriste os queixos de todos meus inimigos; [e] quebraste os dentes dos maus.
Arise, LORD. Save me, my God. For you slap all my enemies in the face. You break the teeth of the wicked.
8 A salvação [vem] do SENHOR; sobre o teu povo seja tua bênção. (Selá)
Salvation belongs to the LORD. Your blessing is upon your people. (Selah)
