Provérbios 15
1 A resposta suave desvia o furor, mas a palavra pesada faz a ira aumentar.
A soft answer, turneth away wrath, but a cutting word raiseth anger.
2 A língua dos sábios faz bom uso da sabedoria, mas a boca dos tolos derrama loucura.
The tongue of the wise, adorneth knowledge, —but, the mouth of dullards, belcheth out folly.
3 Os olhos do SENHOR estão em todo lugar, observando os maus e os bons.
In every place, are the eyes of Yahweh, observing the evil and the good.
4 Uma língua sã é árvore de vida; mas a perversidade nela é faz o espírito em pedaços.
Gentleness of the tongue, is a tree of life, but, crookedness therein, a grievous wound in the spirit.
5 O tolo despreza a correção de seu pai; mas aquele que presta atenção à repreensão age com prudência.
A foolish [son], spurneth the correction of his father, but, he that heedeth a reproof, sheweth prudence.
6 [Na] casa dos justo há um grande tesouro; mas na renda do perverso há perturbação.
The household of the righteous man, is a great treasure, but, in the increase of the lawless, is disturbance.
7 Os lábios dos sábios derramam conhecimento; mas o coração dos tolos não [age] assim.
The lips of the wise, scatter abroad knowledge, but, the heart of dullards, is not right.
8 O sacrifício dos perversos é abominável ao SENHOR, mas a oração dos justos é seu agrado.
The sacrifice of lawless men, is an abomination to Yahweh, but, the prayer of the upright, is his delight.
9 Abominável ao SENHOR é o caminho do perverso; porém ele ama ao que segue a justiça.
An abomination to Yahweh, is the way of the lawless, but, the pursuer of righteousness, he loveth.
10 A correção é ruim para aquele que deixa o caminho; e quem odeia a repreensão morrerá.
There is, grievous correction, for him that forsaketh the right path, He that hateth rebuke, shall die.
11 O Xeol e a perdição estão perante o SENHOR; quanto mais os corações dos filhos dos homens! (Sheol h7585)
Hades and destruction, are before Yahweh, how much more then, the hearts of the sons of men. (Sheol h7585)
12 O zombador não ama quem o repreende, nem se aproximará dos sábios.
A scoffer, loveth not, one who reproveth him, unto the wise, doth he not go.
13 O coração alegre anima o rosto, mas pela dor do coração o espírito se abate.
A joyful heart, maketh a pleasing countenance, —but, in sorrow of heart, is a stricken spirit.
14 O coração prudente buscará o conhecimento, mas a boca dos tolos se alimentará de loucura.
The heart of the intelligent, seeketh knowledge, but, the mouth of dullards, feedeth on folly.
15 Todos os dias do oprimido são maus, mas o coração alegre é [como] um banquete contínuo.
All the days of the afflicted, are sorrowful, but, a cheerful heart, is a continual banquet.
16 Melhor é o pouco tendo o temor ao SENHOR, do que um grande tesouro tendo em si inquietação.
Better is a little, with the reverence of Yahweh, than great treasure, and disquietude therewith.
17 Melhor é a comida de hortaliças tendo amor, do que a de boi cevado tendo em si ódio.
Better is an allowance of herbs, and love, there, than a fatted ox, and hatred therewith.
18 O homem que fica irritado facilmente gera brigas; mas aquele que demora para se irar apaziguará o confronto.
A wrathful man, stirreth up strife, but, he that is slow to anger, calmeth contention.
19 O caminho do preguiçoso é como uma cerca de espinhos; mas a vereda dos corretos é bem aplanada.
The way of the sluggard, is like a thorn hedge, but, the path of the upright, is a raised road.
20 O filho sábio alegra ao pai, mas o homem tolo despreza a sua mãe.
A wise son, maketh a glad father, —but, a dullard, despiseth his own mother.
21 A loucura é alegria para aquele que tem falta de prudência; mas o homem de bom entendimento andará corretamente.
Folly, is joy to him that lacketh sense, —but, a man of understanding, taketh a straight course.
22 Os planos fracassam quando não há [bom] conselho; mas com abundância de conselheiros eles se confirmam.
Plans, are frustrated, for lack of consultation, but, by the multitude of counsellors, shall counsel, be established.
23 O homem se alegra com a resposta de sua boca; e como é boa a palavra a seu devido tempo!
A man hath joy, in the answer of his own mouth, and, a word in its season, —how good!
24 Para o prudente, o caminho da vida [é] para cima, para que se afaste do Xeol, que é para baixo. (Sheol h7585)
The way of life, is upwards to the prudent, that he may depart from hades beneath. (Sheol h7585)
25 O SENHOR destruirá a casa dos arrogantes, mas confirmará os limites do terreno da viúva.
The house of proud men, will Yahweh tear down, but he will maintain the boundary of the widow.
26 Os pensamentos do mau são abomináveis ao SENHOR, mas ele se agrada das palavras dos puros.
An abomination to Yahweh, are the plottings of the wicked, but, with the pure, are sayings of sweetness.
27 Quem pratica a ganância perturba sua [própria] casa; mas quem odeia subornos viverá.
He, troubleth his own house, who graspeth with greed, but, he that hateth gifts, shall live.
28 O coração do justo pensa bem naquilo que vai responder, mas a boca dos perversos derrama maldades em abundância.
The heart of the righteous, studieth to answer, but, the mouth of the lawless, belcheth out mischiefs.
29 Longe está o SENHOR dos perversos, mas ele escuta a oração dos justos.
Far off is Yahweh, from the lawless, but, the prayer of the righteous, will he hear.
30 A luz dos olhos alegra o coração; a boa notícia fortalece os ossos.
The sparkling of bright eyes, rejoiceth the heart, Good news, giveth marrow to the bones.
31 Os ouvidos que escutam a repreensão da vida habitarão entre os sábios.
The ear that heareth the reproof which giveth life, in the midst of the wise, shall remain.
32 Quem rejeita correção menospreza sua [própria] alma; mas aquele que escuta a repreensão adquire entendimento.
He that declineth correction, despiseth his own soul, but, he that heareth reproof, gaineth sense.
33 O temor ao SENHOR corrige sabiamente; e antes da honra [vem] a humildade.
The reverence of Yahweh, is the correction of wisdom, and, before honour, is humility.
