Jó 27
1 E Jó prosseguiu em falar seu discurso, e disse:
And Job continued taking up his parable, and said,
2 Vive Deus, que tirou meu direito, o Todo-Poderoso, que amargou minha alma,
As God liveth, who hath removed justice from me; and by the Almighty, who hath embittered my soul:
3 Que enquanto meu fôlego estiver em mim, e o sopro de Deus em minhas narinas,
All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;
4 Meus lábios não falarão injustiça, nem minha língua pronunciará engano.
Shall my lips not speak any wrong, nor shall my tongue utter deceit.
5 Nunca aconteça que eu diga que vós estais certos; até eu morrer nunca tirarei de mim minha integridade.
Far be it from me that I should justify you; till I depart hence will I not allow [any one] to take my integrity away from me.
6 Eu me apegarei à minha justiça, e não a deixarei ir; meu coração não terá de que me acusar enquanto eu viver.
I have laid fast hold on my righteousness, and I will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me [for my conduct] during all my life.
7 Seja meu inimigo como o perverso, e o que se levantar contra mim como o injusto.
Like the wicked is [therefore] my enemy, and he that riseth up against me like a wrong-doer.
8 Pois qual é a esperança do hipócrita quando ele for cortado, quando Deus arrancar sua alma?
For what is the hope of the hypocrite, when he hath gained unjust wealth, when God casteth forth his soul?
9 Por acaso Deus ouvirá seu clamor quando a aflição vier sobre ele?
Will God hear his cry, when distress cometh upon him?
10 Ele se deleitará no Todo-Poderoso? Invocará a Deus a todo tempo?
Or can he find delight in the Almighty? can he call on God at all times?
11 Eu vos ensinarei acerca da mão de Deus; não esconderei o que há com o Todo-Poderoso.
I will instruct you concerning what is in the hand of God: [the way] which is with the Almighty will I not conceal.
12 Eis que todos vós tendes visto [isso]; então por que vos deixais enganar por ilusão?
Lo! ye yourselves have all beheld it: why is it then that ye deal in such vanities?
13 Esta é a porção do homem perverso para com Deus, a herança que os violentos receberão do Todo-Poderoso:
This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the portion of tyrants, which they shall receive from the Almighty.
14 Se seus filhos se multiplicarem, serão para a espada; e seus descendentes não se fartarão de pão;
If his children be multiplied, it is only for the sword; and his offspring will not be satisfied with bread.
15 Os que lhe restarem, pela praga serão sepultados; e suas viúvas não chorarão.
Those of his that are left to escape will be buried by death; and his widows will not be able to weep.
16 Se ele amontoar prata como o pó da terra, e se preparar roupas como lama,
Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare garments [as plentifully] as the clay:
17 Mesmo ele tendo preparado, é o justo que se vestirá, e o inocente repartirá a prata.
He may prepare, but the righteous will clothe himself [therewith], and the silver the innocent will divide.
18 Ele constrói sua casa como a traça, como uma barraca feita por um vigilante.
He buildeth his house like the moth, and like a hut that a keeper hath made.
19 O rico dormirá, mas não será recolhido; ele abrirá seus olhos, e nada mais há para si.
Rich will he lie down, but will not be gathered [into the grave]: one openeth his eyes, and he is no more.
20 Medos o tomarão como águas; um turbilhão o arrebatará de noite.
Like a flood will terror overtake him, in the night a tempest will steal him away.
21 O vento oriental o levará, e ele partirá; e toma-o de seu lugar.
The east wind will lift him up, and he must be gone; and it hurleth him like a storm out of his place.
22 E o atacará sem o poupar, [enquanto] ele tenta fugir de seu poder.
And [God] will cast [evil] upon him, and bare no pity: out of his hand [his wealth] will surely escape.
23 Baterá palmas por causa dele, e desde seu lugar lhe assoviará.
Men will clap their hands over him, and will hiss after him out of his place.
