Jeremias 23
1 Ai dos pastores que destroem e dispersam as ovelhas de meu rebanho!, Diz o SENHOR.
Woe to the shepherds, Who lose and scatter the sheep of my pasture, saith Jehovah.
2 Portanto assim diz o SENHOR Deus de Israel quanto aos pastores que apascentam meu povo: Vós dispersastes minhas ovelhas, e as afugentastes, e não cuidastes delas; eis que eu cuidarei contra vós pela maldade de vossas ações, diz o SENHOR.
For concerning the shepherds, the feeders of my people, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel: Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, And have not taken care of them. Behold, I am about to requite you For the evil of your doings, saith Jehovah.
3 E eu mesmo recolherei o restante de minhas ovelhas de todas as terras para onde as afugentei, e as farei voltar a seus apriscos; e crescerão, e se multiplicarão.
But I will gather the remnant of my flock From all the countries whither I have driven them, And I will bring them back to their folds, And they shall be fruitful and increase.
4 E porei sobre elas pastores que as apascentem; e nunca mais temerão, nem se assombrarão, nem haverá falta de uma sequer, diz o SENHOR.
And I will raise up shepherds over them, who shall feed them; They shall fear no more, nor be dismayed; Nor shall they be lost, saith Jehovah.
5 Eis que vêm os dias, diz o SENHOR, que levantarei por Davi um justo Renovo, e sendo rei, reinará; o qual prosperará, e fará juízo e justiça na terra.
Behold, the days are coming, saith Jehovah, When I will raise up from David a righteous Branch, And a king shall reign and prosper, And shall maintain justice and equity in the land.
6 Em seus dias Judá será salvo, e Israel habitará em segurança; e este será seu nome com que o chamarão: O SENHOR é nossa justiça.
In his days Judah shall be saved, And Israel shall dwell securely; And this is the name which shall be given him, Jehovah-is-our-salvation.
7 Portanto eis que vêm dias, diz o SENHOR, que não mais dirão: Vive o SENHOR, que fez subir os filhos de Israel da terra do Egito;
Therefore, behold, the days shall come, saith Jehovah, When they shall no more say, “As Jehovah liveth Who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt!”
8 Mas sim: Vive o SENHOR, que fez subir e trouxe a geração da casa de Israel da terra do norte, e de todas as terras para onde eu os afugentei; e habitarão em sua terra.
But, “As Jehovah liveth Who brought up and led the race of Israel from the north country, And from all the countries whither I had driven them!” And they shall dwell in their own land.
9 Quanto aos profetas: meu coração está quebrantado em meu interior, todos os meus ossos tremem; estou como um homem bêbado, como um homem dominado pelo vinho, por causa do SENHOR, e por causa de suas santas palavras.
Concerning the Prophets. My heart is broken within me; All my bones tremble. I am become like a drunken man, Like a man whom wine hath overcome, Because of Jehovah, And because of his holy words.
10 Pois a terra está cheia de adúlteros: e por causa da maldição a terra lamenta; as cabanas do deserto se secaram; pois o percurso deles tem sido mau, e a força deles não é correta.
For the land is full of adulteries; Because of a curse doth the land mourn; The pastures of the waste are dried up; For they run to do evil, And their might is without right.
11 Pois tanto o profeta como o sacerdote são corruptos; até em minha casa achei sua maldade, diz o SENHOR.
Yea, both prophet and priest are profane; Even in my house have I found their wickedness, saith Jehovah.
12 Portanto o caminho deles lhes será como lugares escorregadios na escuridão; serão empurrados, e nele cairão; porque eu trarei mal sobre eles [no] ano de sua punição, diz o SENHOR.
Therefore shall their way become as slippery places in the dark; They shall be driven on and fall therein; For I will bring evil upon them In the time of their visitation, saith Jehovah.
13 Nos profetas de Samaria vi coisas desagradáveis: profetizavam por Baal, e faziam errar a meu povo Israel.
In the prophets of Samaria have I seen folly; They prophesy in the name of Baal, and cause my people Israel to err.
14 Mas nos profetas de Jerusalém tenho vejo coisas horríveis: cometem adultérios, e andam com falsidade, e fortalecem as mãos dos malfeitores, para que ninguém se converta de sua maldade. Para mim, todos eles são como Sodoma, e seus moradores como Gomorra.
In the prophets of Jerusalem also have I seen a horrible thing; They commit adultery, and walk in falsehood; They strengthen the hands of evil-doers, So that none doth turn from his iniquity. They have all become to me as Sodom, And her inhabitants as Gomorrah.
15 Por isso, assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos sobre os profetas: Eis que eu lhes darei de comer absinto, e lhes farei beber águas envenenadas; porque dos profetas de Jerusalém a corrupção se espalhou sobre toda a terra.
Therefore thus saith Jehovah of hosts concerning the prophets: Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, And give them the water of hemlock to drink; For from the prophets of Jerusalem Hath profaneness gone forth into all the land.
16 Assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos: Não deis ouvidos às palavras dos profetas que profetizam para vós; eles vos iludem; falam visão de seus próprios corações, e não da boca do SENHOR.
Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Hearken not to the words of the prophets; They lead you to vanity; They utter the vision of their own heart, And not from the mouth of Jehovah.
17 Dizem continuamente aos que me desprezam: O SENHOR diz: Tereis paz; E a qualquer um que segue a teimosia de seu [próprio] coração, dizem: Não virá mal algum sobre vós.
To them that despise me they say continually, “Jehovah hath said, Ye shall have peace”; And to every one that walketh after the perverseness of his heart, “No evil shall come upon you.”
18 Pois quem esteve no conselho do SENHOR, e viu e ouviu sua palavra? Quem prestou atenção a sua palavra, e [a] ouviu?
For who of them hath stood in the council of Jehovah, And hath seen and heard his word? Who hath listened to his word and heard it?
19 Eis que a tempestade da ira do SENHOR já saiu; e a tempestade é violenta, que atingirá violentamente sobre a cabeça dos maus.
Behold a whirlwind from Jehovah goeth forth in fury, Even a rushing whirlwind; Upon the head of the wicked shall it rush.
20 Não se afastará a ira do SENHOR, enquanto não tiver executado e cumprido os pensamentos de seu coração; nos últimos dias entendereis isso claramente.
The fierce anger of Jehovah shall not turn back, Until he shall have executed, until he shall have accomplished the purpose of his heart. In the latter days ye shall understand it fully.
21 Eu não enviei aqueles profetas, porém eles foram correndo; eu não lhes falei, porém eles profetizaram.
I sent not these prophets, yet they ran; I spake not to them, yet they prophesied.
22 Mas se eles tivessem estado em meu conselho, então teriam anunciado minhas palavras a meu povo; e teriam feito com que deixassem seu mau caminho e a maldade de suas ações.
For if they had stood in my council, Then would they have caused my people to hear my words, And would have turned them from their evil way. And from the wickedness of their doings.
23 Por acaso sou eu Deus [apenas] de perto, diz o SENHOR, e não também Deus de longe?
Am I a God near at hand, saith Jehovah, And not a God afar off?
24 Pode alguém se esconder num esconderijo, diz o SENHOR, que eu não o veja? Por acaso não sou eu, diz o SENHOR, que encho os céus e a terra?
Can any one hide himself in secret places, So that I shall not see him? saith Jehovah; Do I nor fill heaven and earth? saith Jehovah.
25 Tenho ouvido o que aqueles profetas dizem, profetizando mentiras em meu nome, dizendo: Sonhei, sonhei.
I have heard what the prophets say, Who prophesy falsehood in my name, Saying, “I have dreamed, I have dreamed.”
26 Até quando [será isto] no coração dos profetas que profetizam mentiras, dos que profetizam o engano de seu coração?
How long shall this be In the heart of the prophets, who prophesy falsehood, The prophets of the deceit of their own heart,
27 Que pretendem, por meio de seus sonhos que cada um conta a seu próximo, fazer com que meu povo se esqueça de meu nome, tal como seus pais se esqueceram de meu nome por causa de Baal.
Who think to cause my people to forget my name By the dreams which they relate one to another, As their fathers forgot my name through Baal?
28 O profeta que tiver sonho, conte o sonho; e aquele que tiver minha palavra, conte minha palavra de forma fiel. O que a palha tem a ver com o trigo?, diz o SENHOR.
The prophet who hath a dream, let him tell a dream; And he that hath my word, let him speak my word truly! What is the chaff to the wheat? saith Jehovah.
29 Por acaso não é minha palavra como o fogo? diz o SENHOR, E como um martelo que esmigalha a pedra?
Is not my word like fire, saith Jehovah, And like a hammer, that breaketh the rock in pieces?
30 Portanto eis que eu sou contra os profetas, diz o SENHOR, que furtam minhas palavras cada um de seu próximo.
Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith Jehovah, That steal my words one from another.
31 Eis que eu sou contra os profetas, diz o SENHOR, que usam suas línguas, e declaram: [Assim] ele disse.
Behold, I am against the prophets, saith Jehovah, That take their tongues and utter oracles.
32 Eis que eu sou contra os que profetizam sonhos mentirosos, diz o SENHOR, e os contam, e fazem meu povo errar com suas mentiras e com suas lisonjas. E eu não os enviei, nem lhes mandei; e proveito nenhum fizeram a este povo, diz o SENHOR.
Behold, I am against the prophets of false dreams, saith Jehovah, Who tell them, and cause my people to err By their lies and their arrogance. I have not sent them, nor commanded them, And they shall not profit this people at all, saith Jehovah.
33 E quando este povo, ou o profeta, ou o sacerdote, te peguntar, dizendo: Qual é a revelação, a carga do SENHOR? Então tu lhes dirás: Que carga? Eu os abandonarei, diz o SENHOR.
And when this people, or a prophet, or a priest Shall ask thee, saying, “What is the burden from Jehovah?” Then say thou to them, “What is the burden?” That I will cast you away, saith Jehovah.
34 E quanto ao profeta, o sacerdote, ou alguém do povo, que disser: Carga do SENHOR; eu enviarei castigo sobre tal homem e sobre sua casa.
And the prophet, the priest, and the people, Who shall say, “The burden of Jehovah,” I will punish that man and his house.
35 Assim direis cada um a seu próximo, e cada um a seu irmão: O que o SENHOR respondeu?, e, O que o SENHOR falou?
Thus shall ye speak, one to another: “What hath Jehovah answered?” And, “What hath Jehovah spoken?”
36 E nunca mais mencionareis a carga do SENHOR; porque a palavra de cada um lhe servirá por carga; pois pervertestes as palavras do Deus vivente, do SENHOR dos exércitos, nosso Deus.
And of a burden of Jehovah shall ye speak no more; Else shall every man's word be his burden, Because ye pervert the words of the living God, Of Jehovah of hosts, our God.
37 Assim dirás ao profeta: O que o SENHOR te respondeu? e, O que o SENHOR falou?
Thus shalt thou say to the prophet: “What hath Jehovah answered thee?” And, “What hath Jehovah spoken?”
38 Mas se disserdes: Carga do SENHOR; então por isso o assim diz o SENHOR: Porque dissestes esta palavra, Carga do SENHOR, tendo eu vos mandado, dizendo: Não digais “Carga do SENHOR”,
If ye shall say, “The burden of Jehovah,” Then thus saith Jehovah: Because ye say, “The burden of Jehovah,” Although I sent to you and said, Ye shall not say, “The burden of Jehovah,”
39 Portanto eis que eu esquecerei totalmente; e lançarei fora de minha presença a vós, e à cidade que dei para vós e para vossos pais;
Therefore, behold, I will utterly forget you, And I will cast you, and the city which I gave to your fathers, out of my presence;
40 E porei sobre vós humilhação perpétua e vergonha eterna, que nunca será esquecida.
And I will bring upon you an everlasting reproach, And a perpetual shame which shall not be forgotten.
