Êxodo 7
1 O SENHOR disse a Moisés: Olha, eu te constituí como um deus para Faraó, e teu irmão Arão será teu profeta.
Then said Yahweh unto Moses—See! I have appointed thee to be God unto Pharaoh, —and, Aaron thy brother, shall be thy prophet!
2 Tu dirás todas as coisas que eu te mandarei, e Arão teu irmão falará a Faraó, para que deixe os filhos de Israel saírem de sua terra.
Thou, shalt speak all that which I may command thee, and, Aaron thy brother, shall speak unto Pharaoh, and he shall let the sons of Israel go out of his land.
3 E eu endurecerei o coração de Faraó, e multiplicarei na terra do Egito meus sinais e minhas maravilhas.
But, I, will suffer Pharaoh to harden his heart, —so will I multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.
4 E Faraó não vos ouvirá; mas eu porei minha mão sobre o Egito, e tirarei meus exércitos, meu povo, os filhos de Israel, da terra do Egito, com grandes juízos.
And Pharaoh will not hearken unto you, so will I lay my hand on Egypt, —and bring forth my hosts—my people the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt, with great judgments.
5 E os egípcios saberão que eu sou o SENHOR, quando eu estender minha mão sobre o Egito, e tirar os filhos de Israel do meio deles.
And the Egyptians shall know that I, am Yahweh, when I have stretched forth my hand over Egypt, —and brought forth the sons of Israel out of their midst.
6 E fez Moisés e Arão como o SENHOR lhes mandou; fizeram-no assim.
And Moses and Aaron did [so], —as Yahweh commanded them, so, did they.
7 E era Moisés de idade de oitenta anos, e Arão de idade de oitenta e três, quando falaram a Faraó.
Now Moses, was eighty years old, and, Aaron, eighty-three years old, —when they spake unto Pharaoh.
8 E falou o SENHOR a Moisés e a Arão, dizendo:
And Yahweh spake unto Moses and unto Aaron saying:
9 Se Faraó vos responder dizendo, Mostrai milagre; dirás a Arão: Toma tua vara, e lança-a diante de Faraó, para que se torne cobra.
When Pharaoh shall speak unto you saying, Shew for yourselves a wonder, then shalt thou say unto Aaron, Take thy staff, and cast it down before Pharaoh let it become a sea-serpent.
10 Vieram, pois, Moisés e Arão a Faraó, e fizeram como o SENHOR o havia mandado; e Arão lançou sua vara diante de Faraó e de seus servos, e tornou-se cobra.
So Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and did so as Yahweh had commanded, —and Aaron cast down his staff before Pharaoh and before his servants and it became a sea-serpent,
11 Então Faraó chamou também sábios e encantadores; e os encantadores do Egito com seus encantamentos fizeram também o mesmo;
Then called Pharaoh also for the wise men and for the magicians, —and they too, the sacred scribes of Egypt with their secret arts, did in like manner;
12 Pois lançou cada um sua vara, as quais se tornaram cobras; mas a vara de Arão devorou as varas deles.
yea they cast down each man his staff, and they became sea-serpents, —but Aaron’s staff swallowed up their staves.
13 E o coração de Faraó se endureceu, e não os escutou; como o SENHOR o havia dito.
Then waxed bold the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them, —as spake Yahweh.
14 Então o SENHOR disse a Moisés: O coração de Faraó está endurecido, que não quer deixar o povo ir.
Then said Yahweh unto Moses, Dull, is the heart of Pharaoh, —he hath refused to let the people go.
15 Vai pela manhã a Faraó, eis que ele estará saindo às águas; e põe-te à beira do rio diante dele, e toma em tua mão a vara que se tornou cobra,
Get thee unto Pharaoh in the morning—lo! he is coming out to the waters, therefore shalt thou station thyself to meet him on the bank of the river, —and the staff which was turned into a serpent, shalt thou take in thy hand.
16 E dize-lhe: O SENHOR, o Deus dos hebreus, me enviou a ti, dizendo: Deixa meu povo ir, para que me sirvam no deserto; e eis que até agora não quiseste ouvir.
Then shalt thou say unto him—Yahweh God of the Hebrews hath sent me unto thee saying, —Let my people go, that they may serve me in the desert, —And lo! thou hast not hearkened hitherto.
17 Assim disse o SENHOR: Nisto conhecerás que eu sou o SENHOR: eis que ferirei com a vara que tenho em minha mão a água que está no rio, e se converterá em sangue:
Thus, saith Yahweh, Hereby, shalt thou know that, I, am Yahweh, —Lo! I, am smiting with the staff that is in my hand upon the waters that are in the river and they shall be turned to blood;
18 E os peixes que há no rio morrerão, e federá o rio, e os egípcios terão asco de beber a água do rio.
and, the fish that is in the river shall die and the river shall be loathsome, —and the Egyptians, shall disdain, to drink water out of the river.
19 E o SENHOR disse a Moisés: Dize a Arão: Toma tua vara, e estende tua mão sobre as águas do Egito, sobre seus rios, sobre seus ribeiros e sobre seus tanques, e sobre todos os seus depósitos de águas, para que se convertam em sangue, e haja sangue por toda a região do Egito, tanto nos vasos de madeira como nos de pedra.
And Yahweh said unto Moses, —Say unto Aaron—Take thy staff, and stretch forth thy hand over the waters of Egypt, over their streams over their rivers, and over their pools and over all their collections of water—that they may become blood, —so shall there be blood in all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone.
20 E Moisés e Arão fizeram como o SENHOR havia mandado; e levantando a vara feriu as águas que havia no rio, em presença de Faraó e de seus servos; e todas as águas que havia no rio se converteram em sangue.
And Moses and Aaron, did so, as Yahweh commanded, and he lifted high the staff, and smote the waters which were in the river, before the eyes of Pharaoh, and before the eyes of his servants, —and all the waters which were in the river were turned to blood;
21 Assim os peixes que havia no rio morreram; e o rio se contaminou, que os egípcios não podiam beber dele; e houve sangue por toda a terra do Egito.
and the fish that was in the river, died and the river became loathsome, so that the Egyptians could not drink water out of the river, —thus came it to pass that blood was in all the land of Egypt.
22 E os encantadores do Egito fizeram o mesmo com seus encantamentos: e o coração de Faraó se endureceu, e não os escutou; como o SENHOR o havia dito.
And the sacred scribes of Egypt did in like manner with their secret arts, —so the heart of Pharaoh waxed bold and he hearkened not unto them, as spake Yahweh.
23 E Faraó, tornando, voltou-se a sua casa, e não pôs seu coração ainda nisto.
Then Pharaoh, turned away, and entered into his house—neither applied he his heart, even to this.
24 E por todo o Egito fizeram poços ao redor do rio para beber, porque não podiam beber das águas do rio.
And all the Egyptians digged round about the river for water to drink, —for they could not drink of the water of the river.
25 E cumpriram-se sete dias depois que o SENHOR feriu o rio.
And seven days were fulfilled, —after Yahweh had smitten the river.
