Psalmów 72
1 Salomonowi. Boże! daj królowi sądy twoje, a sprawiedliwość twoję synowi królewskiemu;
By Solomon. God, give the king your justice; your righteousness to the royal son.
2 Aby sądził lud twój w sprawiedliwości, a ubogich twoich w prawości.
He will judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice.
3 Przyniosą góry ludowi pokój, a pagórki sprawiedliwość.
The mountains shall bring prosperity to the people. The hills bring the fruit of righteousness.
4 Będzie sądził ubogich z ludu, a wybawi synów ubogiego; ale gwałtownika pokruszy.
He will judge the poor of the people. He will save the children of the needy, and will break the oppressor in pieces.
5 Będą się bać ciebie, póki słońce i miesiąc trwać będzie, od narodu aż do narodu.
They shall fear you while the sun endures; and as long as the moon, throughout all generations.
6 Jako zstępuje deszcz na pokoszoną trawę, a deszcz kroplisty skrapiający ziemię:
He will come down like rain on the mown grass, as showers that water the earth.
7 Tak sprawiedliwy zakwitnie za dni jego, a będzie obfitość pokoju, dokąd miesiąca staje.
In his days, the righteous shall flourish, and abundance of peace, until the moon is no more.
8 Będzie panował od morza aż do morza, i od rzeki aż do kończyn ziemi.
He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, from the River to the ends of the earth.
9 Przed nim padać będą mieszkający na pustyniach, a nieprzyjaciele jego proch lizać będą.
Those who dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him. His enemies shall lick the dust.
10 Królowie od morza i z wysep dary mu przyniosą; królowie Sebejscy i Sabejscy upominki oddadzą.
The kings of Tarshish and of the islands will bring tribute. The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
11 I będą mu się kłaniać wszyscy królowie; wszystkie narody służyć mu będą.
Yes, all kings shall fall down before him. All nations shall serve him.
12 Albowiem wyrwie ubogiego wołającego, i nędznego, który nie ma pomocnika.
For he will deliver the needy when he cries; the poor, who has no helper.
13 Zmiłuje się nad ubogim, i nad niedostatecznym, a duszę nędznych wybawi.
He will have pity on the poor and needy. He will save the souls of the needy.
14 Od zdrady i gwałtu wybawi duszę ich; bo droga jest krew ich przed oczyma jego.
He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence. Their blood will be precious in his sight.
15 I będzie żył, a dawać mu będą złoto sabejskie, i ustawicznie się za nim modlić będą, cały dzień błogosławić mu będą.
He will live; and Sheba’s gold will be given to him. Men will pray for him continually. They will bless him all day long.
16 Gdy się wrzuci garść zboża do ziemi na wierzchu gór, zaszumi jako Liban urodzaj jego, a mieszczanie zakwitną jako zioła polne.
Abundance of grain shall be throughout the land. Its fruit sways like Lebanon. Let it flourish, thriving like the grass of the field.
17 Imię jego będzie na wieki; pokąd słońce trwa, dziedziczyć będzie imię jego, a błogosławiąc sobie w nim wszystkie narody wielbić go będą.
His name endures forever. His name continues as long as the sun. Men shall be blessed by him. All nations will call him blessed.
18 Błogosławiony Pan Bóg, Bóg Izraelski, który sam cuda czyni.
Praise be to the LORD God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvellous deeds.
19 I błogosławione imię chwały jego na wieki, a niech będzie napełniona chwałą jego wszystka ziemia. Amen, Amen.
Blessed be his glorious name forever! Let the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen and amen.
20 A tuć się kończą modlitwy Dawida, syna Isajego.
