| کلام خداوند درباره امت‌ها که به ارمیانازل شد؛ | ۱ 1 |
The word which came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning the nations.
| درباره مصر و لشکر فرعون نکو که نزد نهر فرات در کرکمیش بودند ونبوکدرصر پادشاه بابل ایشان را در سال چهارم یهویاقیم بن یوشیا پادشاه یهودا شکست داد: | ۲ 2 |
Of Egypt. Concerning the army of Pharaoh-Necho, the king of Egypt, which was by the river Euphrates in Carchemish, which Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, smote, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim, the son of Josiah, king of Judah.
| «مجن و سپر را حاضر کنید و برای جنگ نزدیک آیید. | ۳ 3 |
Prepare ye the buckler and shield, And move on to battle!
| ای سواران اسبان را بیارایید و سوار شویدو با خودهای خود بایستید. نیزه‌ها را صیقل دهیدو زره‌ها را بپوشید. | ۴ 4 |
Harness the horses, and mount, ye riders! Stand forth in your helmets; Make bright the spears, And put on the coats of mail!
| خداوند می‌گوید: چرا ایشان را می‌بینم که هراسان شده، به عقب برمی گردند وشجاعان ایشان خرد شده، بالکل منهزم می‌شوندو به عقب نمی نگرند، زیرا که خوف از هر طرف می‌باشد. | ۵ 5 |
Wherefore do I see them dismayed, and turned back? Even their mighty ones are smitten; They flee apace; they look not back. Terror is on every side, saith Jehovah.
| تیزروان فرار نکنند و زورآوران رهایی نیابند. بطرف شمال به کنار نهر فرات می‌لغزند ومی افتند. | ۶ 6 |
Let not the swift attempt to flee away, Nor the mighty man to escape; Toward the North by the river Euphrates shall they stumble and fall.
| این کیست که مانند رود نیل سیلان کرده است و آبهای او مثل نهرهایش متلاطم می‌گردد؟ | ۷ 7 |
Who is he that riseth up like the Nile, Whose waters swell like floods?
| مصر مانند رود نیل سیلان کرده است و آبهایش مثل نهرها متلاطم گشته، می‌گوید: من سیلان کرده، زمین را خواهم پوشانید و شهر وساکنانش را هلاک خواهم ساخت. | ۸ 8 |
Egypt riseth up like the Nile, And like floods do his waters swell. He saith, “I will arise, I will cover the land, I will destroy the city, and them that dwell therein.”
| ای اسبان، برآیید و‌ای ارابه‌ها تند بروید و شجاعان بیرون بروند. ای اهل حبش و فوت که سپرداران هستیدو‌ای لودیان که کمان را می‌گیرید و آن رامی کشید. | ۹ 9 |
Come up, ye horses, and rage, ye chariots! And let the mighty men go forth, The Ethiopians, and the Libyans, that bear the shield, And the Lydians, that bear and bend the bow!
| زیرا که آن روز روز انتقام خداوندیهوه صبایوت می‌باشد که از دشمنان خود انتقام بگیرد. پس شمشیر هلاک کرده، سیر می‌شود و ازخون ایشان مست می‌گردد. زیرا خداوند یهوه صبایوت در زمین شمال نزد نهر فرات ذبحی دارد. | ۱۰ 10 |
This is the day of the Lord Jehovah of hosts, A day of vengeance, to avenge himself of his enemies; And the sword shall devour, and satiate itself, And it shall be made drunk with their blood. For Jehovah of hosts hath a sacrifice In the North country, by the river Euphrates.
| ای باکره دختر مصر به جلعاد برآی وبلسان بگیر. درمانهای زیاد را عبث به‌کار می‌بری. برای تو علاج نیست. | ۱۱ 11 |
Go up to Gilead, and take balm, O virgin, daughter of Egypt! In vain shalt thou use many medicines; There is no cure for thee!
| امت‌ها رسوایی تو رامی شنوند و جهان از ناله تو پر شده است زیرا که شجاع بر شجاع می‌لغزد و هر دوی ایشان با هم می‌افتند.» | ۱۲ 12 |
The nations have heard of thy shame, And thy cry hath filled the earth; For they have stumbled, the mighty against the mighty, And they are fallen both together.
| کلامی که خداوند درباره آمدن نبوکدرصرپادشاه بابل و مغلوب ساختن زمین مصر به ارمیانبی گفت: | ۱۳ 13 |
The word which Jehovah spake to Jeremiah the prophet, concerning the coming of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, to smite the land of Egypt.
| «به مصر خبر دهید و به مجدل اعلام نمایید و به نوف و تحفنحیس اطلاع دهید. بگویید برپا شوید و خویشتن را آماده سازید زیراکه شمشیر مجاورانت را هلاک کرده است. | ۱۴ 14 |
Declare ye in Egypt, and proclaim in Migdol, Proclaim ye also in Noph and Tahpanhes! Say ye, “Stand fast and prepare thyself, For the sword shall devour round about thee!”
| زورآورانت چرا به زیر افکنده می‌شوند ونمی توانند ایستاد؟ زیرا خداوند ایشان را پراکنده ساخته است. | ۱۵ 15 |
Wherefore are thy mighty ones overthrown? They stood not, because Jehovah cast them down.
| بسیاری را لغزانیده است و ایشان بر یکدیگر می‌افتند، و می‌گویند: برخیزید و ازشمشیر بران نزد قوم خود و به زمین مولد خویش برگردیم. | ۱۶ 16 |
He caused many to fall; one fell upon another; And they said, “Arise, and let us go to our own people, And to the land of our nativity, from the overpowering sword.”
| در آنجا فرعون، پادشاه مصر را هالک می‌نامند و فرصت را از دست داده است. | ۱۷ 17 |
There they cry, “Pharaoh, king of Egypt, is undone! He hath let pass the appointed time.”
| پادشاه که نام او یهوه صبایوت می‌باشد می گوید به حیات خودم قسم که او مثل تابور، درمیان کوهها و مانند کرمل، نزد دریا خواهد آمد. | ۱۸ 18 |
As I live, saith the King, Whose name is Jehovah of hosts: Like Tabor among the mountains, And like Carmel by the sea, he cometh! Prepare thyself travelling equipage,
| ای دختر مصر که در (امنیت ) ساکن هستی، اسباب جلای وطن را برای خود مهیا ساز زیرا که نوف ویران و سوخته و غیرمسکون گردیده است. | ۱۹ 19 |
Thou who dwellest in Egypt! For Noph shall become waste, Yea, desolate without an inhabitant.
| مصر گوساله بسیار نیکو منظر است اما هلاکت از طرف شمال می‌آید و می‌آید. | ۲۰ 20 |
Egypt is a fair heifer, But destruction cometh; it cometh from the North.
| سپاهیان به مزد گرفته او در میانش مثل گوساله های پرواری می‌باشند. زیرا که ایشان نیز روتافته، با هم فرارمی کنند و نمی ایستند. چونکه روز هلاکت ایشان و وقت عقوبت ایشان بر ایشان رسیده است. | ۲۱ 21 |
Her mercenaries also in the midst of her are like fatted bullocks; Yet they also turn back; they flee together; they stand not; For the day of their calamity is come upon them, And the time of their punishment.
| آوازه آن مثل مار می‌رود زیرا که آنها با قوت می‌خرامند و با تبرها مثل چوب بران بر اومی آیند. | ۲۲ 22 |
Her voice shall be heard like that of a serpent, When they shall march against her with their forces, And come against her with axes like fellers of trees.
| خداوند می‌گوید که جنگل او را قطع خواهند نمود اگر‌چه لایحصی می‌باشد. زیرا که ایشان از ملخها زیاده و از حد شماره افزونند. | ۲۳ 23 |
They shall cut down her forest, though it be impenetrable; For they exceed the locusts in multitude, And are innumerable.
| دختر مصر خجل شده، به‌دست قوم شمالی تسلیم گردیده است. | ۲۴ 24 |
The daughter of Egypt is brought to shame; She is given into the hand of the people of the North.
| یهوه صبایوت خدای اسرائیل می‌گوید: اینک من بر آمون نو و فرعون ومصر و خدایانش و پادشاهانش یعنی بر فرعون وآنانی که بر وی توکل دارند، عقوبت خواهم رسانید. | ۲۵ 25 |
Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, saith: Behold, I will punish Ammon of No, And Pharaoh, and Egypt, with their gods and their kings; Even Pharaoh and all that trust in him.
| و خداوند می‌گوید که ایشان را به‌دست آنانی که قصد جان ایشان دارند، یعنی به‌دست نبوکدرصر پادشاه بابل و به‌دست بندگانش تسلیم خواهم کرد و بعد از آن، مثل ایام سابق مسکون خواهد شد. | ۲۶ 26 |
And I will deliver them into the hands of those that seek their lives, And into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, And into the hand of his servants. But after this it shall be inhabited, As in the days of old, saith Jehovah.
| اما تو‌ای بنده من یعقوب مترس و‌ای اسرائیل هراسان مشو زیرا اینک من تو را از جای دور و ذریت تو را از زمین اسیری ایشان نجات خواهم داد و یعقوب برگشته، درامنیت و استراحت خواهد بود و کسی او را نخواهد ترسانید. | ۲۷ 27 |
But fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, And be not thou dismayed, O Israel! For, behold, I will bring thee safe from afar, And thy posterity from the land of their captivity; And Jacob shall return and be at rest, Yea, he shall be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.
| و خداوند می‌گوید: ای بنده من یعقوب مترس زیرا که من با تو هستم و اگر‌چه تمام امت‌ها را که تو را در میان آنها پراکنده ساخته‌ام بالکل هلاک سازم لیکن تو را بالکل هلاک نخواهم ساخت. بلکه تو را به انصاف تادیب خواهم نمود و تو را هرگز بی‌سزا نخواهم گذاشت.» | ۲۸ 28 |
Fear thou not, O Jacob, my servant, saith Jehovah, For I will be with thee; When I shall make a full end of all the nations Whither I have dispersed thee, Yet will I not make a full end of thee; I will correct thee in measure; Yet must I not leave thee wholly unpunished.
