اشعیا 28

۱ 1 وای بر تاج تکبر میگساران افرایم وبرگل پژمرده زیبایی جلال وی، که بر سر وادی بارور مغلوبان شراب است.

Woe to the crown of pride of the drunkards of Ephraim, and to the fading flower of his glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley of them that are overcome with wine!

۲ 2 اینک خداوند کسی زورآور و توانا دارد که مثل تگرگ شدید و طوفان مهلک و مانند سیل آبهای زورآورسرشار، آن را به زور بر زمین خواهد انداخت.

Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one; as a tempest of hail, a destroying storm, as a tempest of mighty waters overflowing, shall he cast down to the earth with the hand.

۳ 3 وتاج تکبر میگساران افرایم زیر پایها پایمال خواهد شد.

The crown of pride of the drunkards of Ephraim shall be trodden under foot:

۴ 4 و گل پژمرده زیبایی جلال وی که بر سر وادی بارور است مثل نوبر انجیرها قبل ازتابستان خواهد بود که چون بیننده آن را بیندوقتی که هنوز در دستش باشد آن را فرو می‌برد.

and the fading flower of his glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley, shall be as the firstripe fig before the summer; which when he that looketh upon it seeth, while it is yet in his hand he eateth it up.

۵ 5 و در آن روز یهوه صبایوت به جهت بقیه قوم خویش تاج جلال و افسر جمال خواهد بود.

In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people:

۶ 6 وروح انصاف برای آنانی که به داوری می‌نشینند وقوت برای آنانی که جنگ را به دروازه هابرمی گردانند (خواهد بود).

and for a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and for strength to them that turn back the battle at the gate.

۷ 7 ولکن اینان نیز از شراب گمراه شده‌اند و ازمسکرات سرگشته گردیده‌اند. هم کاهن و هم نبی از مسکرات گمراه شده‌اند و از شراب بلعیده گردیده‌اند. از مسکرات سرگشته شده‌اند و دررویا گمراه گردیده‌اند و در داوری مبهوت گشته‌اند.

But these also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are gone astray; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are gone astray through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.

۸ 8 زیرا که همه سفره‌ها از قی و نجاست پر گردیده و جایی نمانده است.

For all tables are full of vomit [and] filthiness, [so that there is] no place [clean].

۹ 9 کدام را معرفت خواهد آموخت و اخبار را به که خواهد فهمانید؟ آیا نه آنانی را که از شیر بازداشته و از پستانها گرفته شده‌اند؟

Whom will he teach knowledge? and whom will he make to understand the message? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts?

۱۰ 10 زیرا که حکم بر حکم و حکم بر حکم، قانون بر قانون وقانون بر قانون اینجا اندکی و آنجا اندکی خواهدبود.

For it is precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, there a little.

۱۱ 11 زیرا که با لبهای الکن و زبان غریب با این قوم تکلم خواهد نمود.

Nay, but by [men of] strange lips and with another tongue will he speak to this people:

۱۲ 12 که به ایشان گفت: «راحت همین است. پس خسته شدگان را مستریح سازید و آرامی همین است.» امانخواستند که بشنوند.

to whom he said, This is the rest, give ye rest to him that is weary; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

۱۳ 13 و کلام خداوند برای ایشان حکم بر حکم و حکم برحکم، قانون برقانون و قانون بر قانون اینجا اندکی و آنجا اندکی خواهد بود تا بروند و به پشت افتاده، منکسرگردند و به دام افتاده، گرفتار شوند.

Therefore shall the word of the LORD be unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, there a little; that they may go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

۱۴ 14 بنابراین‌ای مردان استهزا کننده و‌ای حاکمان این قوم که دراورشلیم‌اند کلام خداوند را بشنوید.

Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem:

۱۵ 15 از آنجاکه گفته‌اید با موت عهد بسته‌ایم و با هاویه همداستان شده‌ایم، پس چون تازیانه مهلک بگذرد به ما نخواهد رسید زیرا که دروغها راملجای خود نمودیم و خویشتن را زیر مکرمستور ساختیم. (Sheol h7585)

Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us; for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves: (Sheol h7585)

۱۶ 16 بنابراین خداوند یهوه چنین می‌گوید: «اینک در صهیون سنگ بنیادی نهادم یعنی سنگ آزموده و سنگ زاویه‌ای گرانبها و اساس محکم پس هر‌که ایمان آورد تعجیل نخواهد نمود.

therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner [stone] of sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

۱۷ 17 وانصاف را ریسمان می‌گردانم و عدالت را ترازو وتگرگ ملجای دروغ را خواهد رفت و آبها ستر راخواهد برد.

And I will make judgment the line, and righteousness the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.

۱۸ 18 و عهد شما با موت باطل خواهدشد و میثاق شما با هاویه ثابت نخواهد ماند وچون تازیانه شدید بگذرد شما از آن پایمال خواهید شد. (Sheol h7585)

And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it. (Sheol h7585)

۱۹ 19 هر وقت که بگذرد شما را گرفتارخواهد ساخت زیرا که هر بامداد هم در روز و هم در شب خواهد گذشت و فهمیدن اخبار باعث هیبت محض خواهد شد.»

As often as it passeth through, it shall take you; for morning by morning shall it pass through, by day and by night: and it shall be nought but terror to understand the message.

۲۰ 20 زیرا که بسترکوتاه تر است از آنکه کسی بر آن دراز شود ولحاف تنگ تر است از آنکه کسی خویشتن رابپوشاند.

For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it; and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.

۲۱ 21 زیرا خداوند چنانکه در کوه فراصیم (کرد) خواهد برخاست و چنانکه در وادی جبعون (نمود) خشمناک خواهد شد، تا کار خودیعنی کار عجیب خود را بجا آورد و عمل خویش یعنی عمل غریب خویش را به انجام رساند.

For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon; that he may do his work, his strange work, and bring to pass his act, his strange act.

۲۲ 22 پس الان استهزا منمایید مبادا بندهای شمامحکم گردد، زیرا هلاکت و تقدیری را که ازجانب خداوند یهوه صبایوت بر تمامی زمین می‌آید شنیده‌ام.

Now therefore be ye not scorners, lest your bands be made strong: for a consummation, and that determined, have I heard from the Lord, the LORD of hosts, upon the whole earth.

۲۳ 23 گوش گیرید و آواز مرا بشنوید و متوجه شده، کلام مرا استماع نمایید.

Give ye ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech.

۲۴ 24 آیا برزگر، همه روز به جهت تخم پاشیدن شیار می‌کند و آیا همه وقت زمین خود را می‌شکافد و هموار می‌نماید؟

Doth the plowman plow continually to sow? doth he [continually] open and break the clods of his ground?

۲۵ 25 آیا بعد از آنکه رویش را هموار کرد گشنیز رانمی پاشد و زیره را نمی افشاند و گندم را درشیارها و جو را در جای معین و ذرت را درحدودش نمی گذارد؟

When he hath made plain the face thereof, doth he not cast abroad the fitches, and scatter the cummin, and put in the wheat in rows and the barley in the appointed place and the spelt in the border thereof?

۲۶ 26 زیرا که خدایش او را به راستی می‌آموزد و او را تعلیم می‌دهد.

For his God doth instruct him aright, [and] doth teach him.

۲۷ 27 چونکه گشنیز با گردون تیز کوبیده نمی شود و چرخ ارابه بر زیره گردانیده نمی گردد، بلکه گشنیز به عصا وزیره به چوب تکانیده می‌شود.

For the fitches are not threshed with a sharp [threshing] instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned about upon the cummin; but the fitches are beaten out with a staff, and the cummin with a rod.

۲۸ 28 گندم آردمی شود زیرا که آن را همیشه خرمن کوبی نمی کندو هرچند چرخ ارابه و اسبان خود را بر آن بگرداندآن را خرد نمی کند.

Bread [corn] is ground; for he will not ever be threshing it: and though the wheel of his cart and his horses scatter it, he doth not grind it.

۲۹ 29 این نیز از جانب یهوه صبایوت که عجیب الرای و عظیم الحکمت است صادر می‌گردد.

This also cometh forth from the LORD of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in wisdom.
