عاموس 2

۱ 1 چهار تقصیر موآب عقوبتش را نخواهم برگردانید زیرا که استخوانهای پادشاه ادوم راآهک پختند.

Thus saith the LORD: For three transgressions of Moab, yea, for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime:

۲ 2 پس آتش بر موآب می‌فرستم تاقصرهای قریوت را بسوزاند و موآب با هنگامه وخروش و صدای کرنا خواهد مرد.

but I will send a fire upon Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kerioth; and Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet:

۳ 3 و خداوندمی گوید که داور را از میانش منقطع خواهم ساخت و همه سرورانش را با وی خواهم کشت.

and I will cut off the judge from the midst thereof, and will slay all the princes thereof with him, saith the LORD.

۴ 4 خداوند چنین می‌گوید: به‌سبب سه و چهارتقصیر یهودا عقوبتش را نخواهم برگردانید زیراکه شریعت خداوند را ترک نموده، فرایض او رانگاه نداشتند و دروغهای ایشان که پدرانشان آنهارا پیروی نمودند ایشان را گمراه کرد.

Thus saith the LORD: For three transgressions of Judah, yea, for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have rejected the law of the LORD, and have not kept his statutes, and their lies have caused them to err, after the which their fathers did walk:

۵ 5 پس آتش بر یهودا خواهم فرستاد تا قصرهای اورشلیم رابسوزاند.

but I will send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.

۶ 6 خداوند چنین می‌گوید: به‌سبب سه و چهارتقصیر اسرائیل عقوبتش را نخواهم برگردانیدزیرا که مرد عادل را به نقره و مسکین را به زوج نعلین فروختند.

Thus saith the LORD: For three transgressions of Israel, yea, for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have sold the righteous for silver and the needy for a pair of shoes:

۷ 7 و به غبار زمین که بر سرمسکینان است حرص دارند و راه حلیمان رامنحرف می‌سازند و پسر و پدر به یک دختردرآمده، اسم قدوس مرا بی‌حرمت می‌کنند.

that pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father will go unto the [same] maid, to profane my holy name:

۸ 8 وبر رختی که گرو می‌گیرند، نزد هر مذبح می‌خوابند و شراب جریمه شدگان را در خانه خدای خود می‌نوشند.

and they lay themselves down beside every altar upon clothes taken in pledge, and in the house of their God they drink the wine of such as have been fined.

۹ 9 و حال آنکه من اموریان را که قامت ایشان مانند قد سرو آزاد بود و ایشان مثل بلوط تنومندبودند، پیش روی ایشان هلاک ساختم و میوه ایشان را از بالا و ریشه های ایشان را از پایین تلف نمودم.

Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.

۱۰ 10 و من شما را از زمین مصر برآورده، چهل سال در بیابان گردش دادم تا زمین اموریان رابه تصرف آورید.

Also I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and led you forty years in the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.

۱۱ 11 و بعضی از پسران شما را انبیاو بعضی از جوانان شما را نذیره قرار دادم. خداوند می‌گوید: ای بنی‌اسرائیل آیا چنین نیست؟

And I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazirites. Is it not even thus, O ye children of Israel? saith the LORD.

۱۲ 12 اما شما نذیره‌ها را شراب نوشانیدید وانبیا را نهی نموده، گفتید که نبوت مکنید.

But ye gave the Nazirites wine to drink; and commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not.

۱۳ 13 اینک من شما را تنگ خواهم گذارد چنانکه ارابه‌ای که از بافه‌ها پر باشد، تنگ گذارده می‌شود.

Behold, I will press [you] in your place, as a cart presseth that is full of sheaves.

۱۴ 14 و مفر برای تندرو فوت خواهد شد و تنومند به توانایی خویش غالب نخواهد آمد و جبار جان خود را نخواهد رهانید.

And flight shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not strengthen his force, neither shall the mighty deliver himself:

۱۵ 15 و تیرانداز نخواهدایستاد و تیزپا خود را نخواهد رهانید و اسب‌سوارجان خود را خلاصی نخواهد داد.

neither shall he stand that handleth the bow; and he that is swift of foot shall not deliver [himself]: neither shall he that rideth the horse deliver himself:

۱۶ 16 و خداوندمی گوید که شجاع ترین جباران در آن روز عریان خواهند گریخت.

and he that is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day, saith the LORD.
