2 ਰਾਜਿਆਂ 8
1 ੧ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਉੱਠ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਸਮੇਤ ਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਵੱਸ ਸਕੇਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਵੱਸ ਜਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਕਾਲ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੱਤ ਸਾਲ ਰਹੇਗਾ।
Then spake Elisha vnto the woman, whose sonne he had restored to life, saying, Vp, and goe, thou, and thine house, and soiourne where thou canst soiourne: for the Lord hath called for a famine, and it commeth also vpon the land seuen yeeres.
2 ੨ ਤਦ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਜਨ ਦੇ ਕਹਿਣ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਸਮੇਤ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਸੱਤ ਸਾਲ ਉੱਥੇ ਵੱਸੀ।
And the woman arose, and did after the saying of the man of God, and went both shee and her housholde and soiourned in the lande of the Philistims seuen yeeres.
3 ੩ ਸੱਤਾਂ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਔਰਤ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਮੁੜ ਆਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਰਾਜਾ ਕੋਲ ਦੁਹਾਈ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਗਈ।
And at the seuen yeeres ende, the woman returned out of the lande of the Philistims, and went out to call vpon the King for her house and for her land.
4 ੪ ਤਦ ਰਾਜਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਜਨ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਗੇਹਾਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਕੰਮ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ।
And the King talked with Gehazi the seruant of the man of God, saying, Tell mee, I pray thee, all the great actes, that Elisha hath done.
5 ੫ ਤਦ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਰਾਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ ਹੀ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਮੁਰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਜੁਆਲਿਆ, ਤਦ ਵੇਖੋ, ਉਹ ਔਰਤ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਰਾਜਾ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਦੁਹਾਈ ਦੇਣ ਲੱਗੀ। ਤਦ ਗੇਹਾਜੀ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਹੇ ਰਾਜਾ! ਇਹ ਓਹੀ ਔਰਤ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਇਹ ਹੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹ ਨੂੰ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
And as he told the King, howe he had restored one dead to life, behold, the woman, whose sonne he had raised to life, called vpon the King for her house and for her land. Then Gehazi sayd, My lorde, O King, this is the woman, and this is her sonne, whom Elisha restored to life.
6 ੬ ਜਦ ਰਾਜਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, ਤਦ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਰਾਜਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਹਾਕਮ ਨੂੰ ਠਹਿਰਾ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਜੋ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਸੀ ਜਦ ਤੋਂ ਇਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਦੇਸ ਛੱਡਿਆ, ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਦੀ ਖੇਤ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਪੈਦਾਵਾਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੋੜ ਦੇ।”
And when the King asked the woman, shee told him: so the King appoynted her an Eunuch, saying, Restore thou all that are hers, and all the fruites of her landes since the day shee left the land, euen vntill this time.
7 ੭ ਤਦ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਦੰਮਿਸ਼ਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਇਆ। ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਅਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਨ-ਹਦਦ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਜਨ ਇੱਥੇ ਤੱਕ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ।
Then Elisha came to Damascus, and Ben-hadad the King of Aram was sicke, and one told him, saying, The man of God is come hither.
8 ੮ ਰਾਜਾ ਨੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਏਲ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੇਟ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਜਨ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਪੁੱਛ, “ਕੀ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਰੋਗ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਵਾਂਗਾ?”
And the king sayd vnto Hazael, Take a present in thine hande, and goe meete the man of God, that thou mayest inquire of ye Lord by him, saying, Shall I recouer of this disease?
9 ੯ ਤਦ ਹਜ਼ਾਏਲ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਦੰਮਿਸ਼ਕ ਦੀ ਹਰ ਉੱਤਮ ਵਸਤੂ ਦਾ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵਾ ਚਾਲੀਆਂ ਊਠਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੱਦ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਬਨ-ਹਦਦ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਰੋਗ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਵਾਂਗਾ?
So Hazael went to meete him, and tooke the present in his hand, and of euery good thing of Damascus, euen the burden of fourtie camels, and came and stood before him, and sayde, Thy sonne Ben-hadad King of Aram hath sent me to thee, saying, Shall I recouer of this disease?
10 ੧੦ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਜਾ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ, ਤੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਰਗਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਮਰ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
And Elisha sayd to him, Goe, and say vnto him, Thou shalt recouer: howbeit the Lord hath shewed me, that he shall surely dye.
11 ੧੧ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਜਨ ਰੋ ਪਿਆ।
And hee looked vpon him stedfastly, till Hazael was ashamed, and the man of God wept.
12 ੧੨ ਤਦ ਹਜ਼ਾਏਲ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਰੋਂਦਾ ਹੈ? ਅੱਗੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਬਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ। ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਲਾਵੇਂਗਾ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਗੱਭਰੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰੇਗਾ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਟਕਾ-ਪਟਕਾ ਕੇ ਟੋਟੇ-ਟੋਟੇ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੀਰ ਸੁੱਟੇਂਗਾ।
And Hazael sayde, Why weepeth my lord? And he answered, Because I knowe the euill that thou shalt do vnto the children of Israel: for their strong cities shalt thou set on fire, and their yong men shalt thou slay with the sworde, and shalt dash their infantes against the stones, and rent in pieces their women with child.
13 ੧੩ ਹਜ਼ਾਏਲ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਪਰ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸ ਕੁੱਤੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਹੈ ਹੀ ਕੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇੰਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੇ? ਪਰ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵਿਖਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਅਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੋਵੇਂਗਾ।
Then Hazael said, What? is thy seruant a dog, that I should doe this great thing? And Elisha answered, The Lord hath shewed mee, that thou shalt be King of Aram.
14 ੧੪ ਫੇਰ ਉਹ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਤੁਰ ਪਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੋਲ ਆ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ?” ਤਦ ਉਹ ਬੋਲਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ।
So he departed from Elisha, and came to his master, who said to him, What saide Elisha to thee? And he answered, Hee tolde mee that thou shouldest recouer.
15 ੧੫ ਅਗਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਚਾਦਰ ਲਈ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਭਿਉਂ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਏਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ।
And on the morow he tooke a thick cloth and dipt in it water, and spread it on his face, and hee dyed: and Hazael reigned in his stead.
16 ੧੬ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਹਾਬ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਹੋਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਵੇਂ ਸਾਲ ਜਦ ਯਹੋਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਤ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਸੀ, ਤਾਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਯਹੋਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਤ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਰਾਮ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ।
Now in the fift yere of Ioram ye sonne of Ahab King of Israel, and of Iehoshaphat King of Iudah, Iehoram the sonne of Iehoshaphat King of Iudah began to reigne.
He was two and thirtie yere olde, when he began to reigne: and hee reigned eight yeere in Ierusalem.
18 ੧੮ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਅਹਾਬ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਰਿਆ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਅਹਾਬ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਰਾਣੀ ਬਣ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੁਰਾ ਸੀ।
And hee walked in the wayes of the Kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab: for the daughter of Ahab was his wife, and hee did euill in the sight of the Lord.
19 ੧੯ ਫੇਰ ਵੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨਾ ਨਾ ਚਾਹਿਆ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਵੰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰਿਸ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
Yet the Lord would not destroy Iudah, for Dauid his seruants sake, as he had promised him to giue him a light, and to his children for euer.
20 ੨੦ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਦੋਮੀ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੀ ਅਧੀਨਤਾਈ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਗੀ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ।
In those dayes Edom rebelled from vnder the hand of Iudah, and made a King ouer themselues.
21 ੨੧ ਤਦ ਯੋਰਾਮ ਸੇਈਰ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰੱਥ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਨ, ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਅਦੋਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, ਰੱਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਤੰਬੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੱਜ ਗਏ।
Therefore Ioram went to Zair, and all his charets with him, and he arose by night, and smote the Edomites which were about him with the captains of the charets, and the people fled into their tents.
22 ੨੨ ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਦੋਮ ਅੱਜ ਤੱਕ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੀ ਅਧੀਨਤਾਈ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਗੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਲਿਬਨਾਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਵਾਸੀ ਵੀ ਬਾਗੀ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
So Edom rebelled from vnder the hand of Iudah vnto this day. then Libnah rebelled at that same time.
23 ੨੩ ਯੋਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਾਕੀ ਘਟਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ, ਕੀ ਉਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ?
Concerning the rest of the actes of Ioram and all that hee did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Iudah?
24 ੨੪ ਯੋਰਾਮ ਮਰ ਕੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਦੱਬਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਹਜ਼ਯਾਹ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ।
And Ioram slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the citie of Dauid. And Ahaziah his sonne reigned in his stead.
25 ੨੫ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਹਾਬ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਵੇਂ ਸਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਯਹੋਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਹਜ਼ਯਾਹ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ।
In the twelft yere of Ioram the sonne of Ahab King of Israel did Ahaziah the sonne of Iehoram King of Iudah begin to reigne.
26 ੨੬ ਅਹਜ਼ਯਾਹ ਬਾਈ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੀ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਾਲ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਜ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਹ ਦੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਅਥਲਯਾਹ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਆਮਰੀ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਸੀ।
Two and twentie yeere olde was Ahaziah when he began to reigne, and he reigned one yere in Ierusalem, and his mothers name was Athaliah the daughter of Omri King of Israel.
27 ੨੭ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਅਹਾਬ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਰਿਆ, ਉਹ ਨੇ ਅਹਾਬ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਅਹਾਬ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਜਵਾਈ ਸੀ।
And he walked in the way of the house of Ahab, and did euill in the sight of the Lord, like the house of Ahab: for hee was the sonne in law of the house of Ahab.
28 ੨੮ ਉਹ ਅਹਾਬ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਮੋਥ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਹਜ਼ਾਏਲ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਨ ਲਈ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਾਮੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਯੋਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਫੱਟੜ ਕੀਤਾ।
And he went with Ioram the sonne of Ahab to warre against Hazael King of Aram in Ramoth Gilead, and the Aramites smote Ioram.
29 ੨੯ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਯੋਰਾਮ ਮੁੜ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਯਿਜ਼ਰਏਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜ਼ਖਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਲਾਜ ਕਰਾਵੇ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਅਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਹਜ਼ਾਏਲ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਨ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਰਾਮਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰਾਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਲੱਗੇ ਸਨ। ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਯਹੋਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਹਜ਼ਯਾਹ ਅਹਾਬ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਣ ਲਈ ਯਿਜ਼ਰਏਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਇਆ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਸੀ।
And King Ioram returned to bee healed in Izreel of the wounds which ye Aramites had giuen him at Ramah, whe he fought against Hazael King of Aram. And Ahaziah the sonne of Iehoram King of Iudah went downe to see Ioram the sonne of Ahab in Izreel, because he was sicke.
